  • A first look it looked like Jaganmohan YSR was acting as MC. So glad it wasn't that corrupt guy.

    JP Zindabad

  • Truly a model citizen to be emulated by others in every walk of life.

  • Wonderfull speech JP

  • the guy is quite clear,,the shbtitles are a missdirection,,half of the words are wrong.

  • 0:43:20 subtitles must be "impotent" and "wasteful" raher than "important' and "vestful"

  • @Ashwinswarup I guess subtitles are created automatically not manually.

  • Dude at 00:31:16 the word used is "votes" not "words" the subtitles are wrong in many places ...need some help correcting them ?

  • winston churchill commented : There is no way India is going to maintain peace. It has too many religions and languages.

It is not exactly this but something similar to this. Then we have been conducting elections and creating stable govts. for 60+ years.

  • very good speech but the comment made on srilankan tamils in 21 minutes is really nonsense... he doesn't know the facts .... sir pls value our feelings it hurts even educated ppl make these comments

  • The 2 Dislikes must be 2 of those many corrupt politicians who watch the Youtube ;)

  • too good

  • Sir, you are a true IAS..

  • We need more such like minded well educated people in politics who can really make a good impact on india policitcs and change the way it works now for better and bright future of india and world at large...

  • We need more such like minded well educated people in politics who can really make a good impact on india policitcs and change the way it works now for better and bright future of india and world at large...

  • India need ppl like him.. We need to support him, protect him..

  • This is what India need...

    We should support such politicians.

  • Amazing speech. An inspiring, self motivated man. First, one has to raise his own standard to understand his speech.

  • Another Mahatma GAndi born in the wrong state .

  • @vsongsin there is no wrong state and right state, all are equally wrong and right

  • Wonderful speech. respect that. However I didnot like his comment on srilankan tamils as ruthless terrorists. I know he has some biased views to support his stand, i request you please to value our feeling too.Very surprised abt such a clever, well informed person still donno the worst genocide of the century, has happended so close to his own country.

  • dont agree with this guy.

china is doing very well because of reduced government control.

governments cause problems. look at america. government control in america is increasing and they used the money of the people to bail out the banks.

the speech by 'Google Peter Schiff Speech' is more better then this guy.

  • @hyylo thats what he said....china is doing very well because of democracy in the society. I suggest you to listen to the video carefully before making any comments. These people do not deserve to be pointed out by guys like us who occasionally sneak into the current social problems.

  • @nincompoop007

hi. please note that democracy is a type of government control on society. The founders of America stated they disliked democracy.

You can search google if you don’t believe me. When America was born it was a republic. A republic gives individuals freedom to work and keep their income. This is the reason why America was once the source innovation in various industries. America once manufactured everything.

  • Comment removed

  • @hyylo The People's republic of China is a republic too. A republic is a system of government in which a bunch of people control the government, as opposed to one person (Monarchy). That's all that it is. Typically, that involves a constitution that establishes a set of rules, that can be added/deleted by the aforementioned bunch of people (as opposed to the whims of one person). Before America, Britain was the source of innovation. America copied many of the ideas (English common law) from them

  • @hyylo (Part 2): Universal suffrage (aka democracy) is a method of creating a republican government. An oligarchy can also achieve the same republican objectives, like China, or in 17th century Britain, or the USSR. A rule of law, and favorable economic environment (cheap credit, access to capital markets, relatively low taxation, access to a labor force, strong patent laws among other things) is what drives innovation. Britain invented this idea, and exported it to others like US and Germany.

  • @hyylo Government control is what created the computer industry and the internet, NASA etc. America's greatest inventions have been underwritten by the government. Government enforced civil rights in the US. Bad government policies cause problems. Fix that. Peter Schiff is a charlatan. Anyone who claims that Hoover actually intervened during the great depression is either dishonest or blind. Even Milton Friedman, a free market prophet blamed fed lack of intervention on prolonging the depression

  • @hyylo I sat through Schiff's talk. It's a mixture of tea-party propaganda and high-level statements that lack insight. If you want to listen to a conservative economist, listen to Niall Ferguson. At least you will learn something insightful. This guy just screams things at the top of his voice, that I already knew; reminds me of Ron Paul a little bit. His talk has zero insight though. He's trying to sell his book/investment firm.

  • @mehmohmeh

Niall Ferguson? lol. Niall Ferguson has never worked in the private sector. he has always worked for government as a teacher.

if you think the speech by peter schiff is simply about selling his book then you should read his book. peter schiff made his speech several years before the economic mess. Niall Ferguson never saw the economic mess coming.

look at everything peter schiff said 5 years ago. it was 100% correct.

  • @hyylo Ferguson did point out the issue of excessive leverage and the greenspan put, as did others like Nouriel Roubini and Raghuram Ranjan. Ferguson is an economic historian, so yes, he's unemployable except as a teacher. What does that have to do with anything? Henry Kissinger was an academician before he became arguably modern America's greatest statesman (or best known anyway). BTW, the google speech is in 2009. Which one are you talking about?

  • @mehmohmeh

peter schiff made the same speech several years ago.

there is a video called.... Peter Schiff Interview On Southland Today this dates back to 2002

    also

Peter Schiff Mortgage Bankers Speech which dates back to 2005

    you should also watch this:

Money Banking and the federal reserve.

this last video is what changed my mind on everything about economics that is taught in school and college.

please watch them. you will enjoy them as i did.

  • @hyylo noooo.. he is not for increasing government control.. infact one of his main agendas is to emulate what Hong Kong did in the 1970s, a strong, judiciary-backed, government independent anti-corruption bureau. sure enough, HK is one of the lest corrupt territories in the world.

  • Excellent speech by JP

  • Incisive, cogent and very sincere.

This gentleman needs to make sure that there are more people like him i .e . spread the wealth of his tacit knowledge.

    Hats off JP!

  • Please dont compare him with Obama.JP is much ahead than him.

  • @kab9791

the speech by 'Google Peter Schiff Speech' is more better then this guy.

  • The person introducing JP is shivering :-) stage fear

  • WOW; 1:07;27 HOW LONG IS THAT??

    NEVER SEEN THAT LENGTH BEFORE!!

  • india is not a great country.india and sri lanka are responsible for genocide of tamils.a pariah country.hang sonia and congress....

  • so inspiring!!!!! it's like seeing Obama. we really need people like this when our spirits get weakened... it's like the great touch that snowboaridng adds to the soul... what a cool person!

  • With his administrative experience and stern resolve to cleanse the system, JP is uniquely placed to lead the chaotic state (AP). Sadly while we always keep cribbing about politics in state & country being dominated by thugs, corrupt dynasties, undeserved jokers, when some sensible person attempts at making a change we dont seem to care too much. IT IS IMPORTANT TO BACK HIM IN ELECTIONS & IN HIS CRUSADES.

AFTER ALL HE IS FIGHTING FOR US.

  • Kudos to JP, a very intense & thoughtful lecture. it was replete with sensible suggestions. Some friends were raising doubts about his contribution..,Developmental politics in India means, it has equal space for a truly mass leader as well as committed policy makers. Not every one with crowd behind him deserves to be called a "leader". While its important to understand root level issues first hand, it is more important to come up with necessary policies to address those.

  • Support his current campaign (national campaign against corruption - kill corruption) for canceling 2g spectrum licenses and long term solutions for anti corruption, windfall tax, false claims act and Hong kong style anti corruption committee.

  • @ajaycgeek

    Sir,

I have heard JP saying that he is supporting Telangana. He himself said that Newzealand which is a country is much smaller than Telangana (which is aspiring to be formed as a state)

  • I have seen this person's speech several times but this video is not up to what I would expect from him. He concentrated on the accent, rather the content. I feel somehow that message is important to convey. I stressfully heard few unhealthy words to list like 'economy', 'embrace' 'immortal', 'country', 'colour','power' several times that may not help the dynamic youth today . Rather than the history,we need solutions. 'make a few points' at the start can be corrected to ensure the whole speech

  • I am a fan of JP. I would love to watch all of his debates or discussions. I think this is the best speech that i have ever watched.

  • AMAZING !!! He's book of knowledge :O

  • I never heard of this person. strange.....why do not media brings out such personalities out in front of people....

    i salute ..

  • @salahaddinus, You must be crazy to say that JP sir has shown Andhra partiality and he is a Big HYPOCRITE.

Many of us want to do something for the betterment of people in India but very few people fufill their dreams. We all should feel proud that a person like him has taken up initiation and is trying to do something for society.

  • Thought provoking, stimulating, inspiring & motivating! Gr8 perspective, profound analysis, passionate, & most importantly he seems to offer hope in terms of viable solutions. Hope he spawns a new generation of like-minded leaders/thinkers. One fly in the ointment though; there are several transcription errors, some serious. For ex, 'Lok Satta movement' and not 'works at the moment.' The captioning seems to have been done by someone rather unfamiliar with Indian accent and the Indian backdrop.

  • @ushriharsha captioning is done by a program and not a person.

  • no body has d right 2 speak against jp sir , dont ur brain working.... he is wrkng 4 d country ...he s d LEADER...

  • I find much of his argument very interesting but the crucial point of his discussion is very intriguing. Public opinion in Indias is always given lesser support than individual rights . both from the government and political sector. And the govt of India says it is mandatory to give preference to individual rights than public opinion( at least in most of the cases). but JP N says the govt and forces should mobilize public opinion . So how can govt do that when it is made on other principles.

  • ca n someone tell me what he is done so far in AP legislative assembly since he got elected? just asking what impact he made so far."

  • @srp112 loksatta.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=588:drjps-activities-in-kukatpally&catid=34:about-party . If u have doubts, you can use RTI act or visit the constituency

  • @srp112 yah , the legislative members in the past had only 5-10 min to take a nap.but now they r getting 30-40 mins .. by the effort of JPN

  • @srp112

jus watch the devolopment activities of dr.jp in loksatta website

  • This Gentleman, I used to like him before Dec09.2009. He said before Central Govt of India announced that the Telangana is pushed to backwards & not implementing GO 610 is very insult to Telangana... When Govt announced Telangana formation, he showed his Hipocracy and Andhrite partiality by Back tracking what he said before.. Big HYPOCRITE this guy..

  • wow !!!

why is this guy not given a chance in indian reformation??

  • Very insightful!

  • Now thats my one hour best spent!!.

he is very articulate and a proud indian.Hope more educated people with a true intention to serve join the politics and work for better governance.

  • This is one of the amazing speeches of JP. I really admire his determination to bring the change.

  • amazing guy!

"the younger generation is increasingly confident" "there is despair sometimes but then there are forces of change (assisting us)" the young.. take it up guys

  • hey, dont stop just times of india, but all major papers..

    we have 100s like this..

but thy will never be shown in india..

but, u will have criminals photoes in the main page, many a times..

  • I am not for violence either but I do not like the reason he is opposed to the Maoist violence. What is the purpose of having the constitution if not for providing for able governance? When the governance itself fails, anybody who intends to defend the constitution by force is no different from the Maoists who are using force. Besides, citizens taking to force means they are not satisfied with the constitution or the implementation of it. How does the vote(he stresses on so much) matter now?

  • @sgk999 People should be educated to know the value of vote. That should be the only solution.Citezens are taking to force means ,they are just showing the angst, they are not able know the value of vote.People who can think should educate them.Honest people should dare to engage in politics. In india there are lots of brainy people ,biggest problem is they dont have common sense. If we dont realize it we have to pay big prize for it.

  • @sgk999

Please watch video : (Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan on Politics and Governance-1) search youtube with that.

  • I cannot believe i had not heard of this man before..i know more about Bachchans and Khans and Katrina more than people like him..I should stop reading Times of India.
