  • NemanjaGuitar - the engine feels a bit quicker to spinup. It would be very little difference in hp/torque. But the big difference will be noticed at highway speed when the electric fan doesnt need to run and ur not using a mechanical fan to pull airr thats already flowing.

  • Ive since changed it around and use a single speed fan from a older FORD Taurus using a SPAL controller. It works beautifully now. I should post a video of it now.

  • @FastDemise did u swap it out because the taurus fan is better? just curious because i want to do this mod to hopefully increase mpg a little and i found a taurus fan for sale locally. thanks

  • hey, did you notice any increase in hp/torque?

Did you mpg get any better after this?

I'm thinking about doing the same thing.

    Thanks,

  • @NemanjaGuitar

I didn't notice a difference in MPG. I liked how much quieter it was at startup and knowing my engine wasn't pushing air when at highway speeds since that's pointless.

  • I was thinking of putting a double fan in mine

  • but how is the weather where you live?

    is it cold or warm?

i tryed this, but i live in arizona and my jeep didt make it...

  • Yes it does. With some weather stripping to seal around the radiator to ensure proper pulling of air she is staying very cool.

  • does your jeep stay cool this way?
