  • ima country ass white boy ! born an raised in the hills of east tennessee!! im very proud of stuff like this. i can easly relate 2 this song!!! god bless all of us!!!

  • @anthonypotter1000 Lord Jesus love you and keep you brother.

  • boy I'd like to plough that cute little brunette-a small town southern man

  • I live in CO but I'm as country as the next person. It doesn't matter where you live, it's whether you care if you get dirt under your fingernails or not, you like trucks & tractors, and you don't mind getting in with livestock&horses. It's about honor, chivalry and god-fearing love. Getting drunk, dipping and smoking don't make you country, it's loving that big sky and open ranges far away from cities. I don't live in the country but I'm a country girl to the bone.

  • @RadiologyDawg i know what you mean, colorado is about as country as it gets though. it aint like living in south georgia and i miss it, but i love CO!

  • Yankees cant make music like this...cause they dont have a soul...country boys are the backbone of the country..and from the south!!

  • @swampcabbage52 dude stop bagging on "yankees" i live in texas in all. but like forreal? were all (americans) isnt that all that matters? cause i think it is

  • @swampcabbage52 why you said thathave you a problem

  • " small town southern man " not cause you born in the north or south ( not that it matters cause im from ohio and can relate to this song more than any of you "southerners" ) its just about manners......and most people dont have them anymore

  • ill b 20 soon and will have the life ive always dreamed of in mississippi in a few months from now. i was born and raised up north but have always wanted this life

  • @jlhrockstar20man

    whats up north mean?

  • I was born in VA and lived in the deep south part of it and acouple years ago moved to Mass and its so different, i hate it here. The people have no manners or anything like that. People get offended when i say yes ma'am or even say thank you.. its really sad. I cant wait to move back to get this type of life back. I miss it soo much :(

  • @Ruckus42 i know wat u mean i was born and raised up north but ill be moving 2 missippi soon. i hate bn a northern man

ppl have no respect nd u have 2 deal with it up here all ur life

  • I love this song even though I'm from Massachusetts. My mom and dad were as "small town" as they come. They were high school sweethearts, and both their families are from the same small town. I live in the "big city" of Boston now, but this song reminds me of my childhood and my parents' rural home. God bless small town Christian values!

  • go dixie!

  • @samman190 i will soon so jus keep ur chin up and im sure u can. ill b 20 in july

  • Love how AJ honors his dad in this video - my dad died in 1978 & was from Minnesota (not a Southern man) - but otherwise everything in the song applies -

  • im from Poland but luv this misic!!!! bless alan blesss!!!!!!!

  • played at my dad's funeral. Great song!

  • Small town country girl and proud of it. Long live the south and my dad is a small town man. This song is so true about the southern man.

  • I'm in the north sooo this doesn't really apply to me

  • @ilarioo23 he man its fun and out in the country but its hard work and life aint always as good as in the videos.. and theres allot of city punks around

  • @ilarioo23 NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM,,,,,,,good luck

  • @ilarioo23 anch'io sono italiano e il mio sogno è esattamente identico al tuo.... in Tennessee, un una cittadina proprio come quella descritta in questa bellissima canzone di Alan Jackson. I TAKE AMERICA IN MY HEART!

  • @ilarioo23 thats what i like to hear!

  • @ilarioo23 Just as long as you do it legally (i.e. apply for a green card and all of that), you should be good to go.

  • @ilarioo23 you need to keep your own roots too, that's the best part of america!

  • @ilarioo23 out here in oregon in the mid to late summer you'd see combine harvesters coming down the road all the time and once one pulled into the restaurant i was working in at the time. its hard but you can be successfull good luck and follow your dreams.

  • I love the South! and this Song! except for me its the small town southern WOMAN!

    <)=) yeehaw!

  • 31 people have no taste in music

  • @dzj47 35 people :)

  • The morals your dad had we need to yearn for today. This song reminds me so much of my papaw. -Lord Jesus Christ still loves and saves from sins. His gift of eternal salvation is free because He already purchased it with His blood.

  • Nw pennsylvania is very country reminds me of my community

  • I live in Northern Ontario, Northern Canada is faily similar to the Southern States (other than the weather of course) we dont have many communities above 5000 where i live

  • This song makes me cry every time. My dad was a small town southern man and this song is describes his life. I love you and miss you everyday, Dad! 8/23/55 - 12/1/07

  • Just another Wonderful song from Alan

  • lord i love the south!

  • This describes my grandfather so much. He was born in 1919 in a town no one has ever heard of in south texas. He worked all his life and never complained. He rasied an amazing with my grandmother. He was softspoken and kind, there are very few like him. I miss him to death this was played at his funeral. I hope someday i can be half the man he was. I love you Grandpa.

  • The Lyrics In This Song Are So True And Meaningful, Thanks For Another Great Track Alan!

  • My grandpa was a small town southern man. He passed away a few years ago. Whenever I hear this song I always think of him.

  • if you are from habersham county you are a small town southern man

  • Reminds me of my grandad, I never met. My mom absolutly loves this song because it reminds her of him :) Except they weren't from GA like Alan... They are from Alabama <333

  • If I marry a man like that, I think I'll be alright. :)

  • This song hits m in the heart. My papa is a small town southern man, and there's no one i could ever love more.

  • i love songs that tell great stories with good morals. god bless america

  • BE QUIET GORDON

  • One of the most beautiful songs i ever heard !

Greetings from a Finnish Country Boy !

  • I love this song and love country music. I am black and people are so shocked that I like country music why? If anyone knows country was started by poor whites and blacks :)

  • Whoa that one got me right there.Shew

  • 29 people was from the ghetto and never did anything for thier family

  • Got to love this song !

  • Where did all of this go? It might be going strong in the country around here, but then we watch the nightly news and see all the things that have gone wrong. America needs to clean up its act; where there once was a country that other countries could look up to or see as a helping hand is a country that is more "Made in China" than a proud, independent, and strong nation.

  • @wwwwtffvvv china might THINK they own AMERICA and her people , but they dont own me, or any real AMERICAN PATRIOT!

  • @wwwwtffvvv A main reason why America is looking so bad is cause of the News. They feed you want they want to feed you. If we believed the News America would be 95% Killing, Robbing, and 5% About politics and the President

  • 3:08 to 3:15 jolts my heart everytime

  • of 2 million ppl 29 dont like this song Does it really matter at this point??

  • I haven't been to America before but anytime i hear country song i yearn for that country, especially the country sides.Thumbs up U.S.A

  • Best lyric I've heard to any song in any genre in a helluva long time.

One small knock though...they shoulda' portrayed our 'small town southern man' as a staff sergeant. Not a full bird colonel. Great, great tune though.

  • You want American pride... check out the 60's / 70's part of the video 1:40 - 2:40 now thats American

  • I haven't listened to this in forever. <3

  • I can't believe how great Alan tells a story. Amazing talent!

  • If you like real country, look up the Louvin brothers.

    Statler brothers.

    Jim Reeves.

  • i all country girl

  • VOTE RON PAUL.

    MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR FREEDOM.

  • This is the American way of life. We've lost our way.

  • @k2wannab It's not lost my friend!! I still believe in the true american spirit and culture of fighting for your country, loving your wife, and have faith in the Lord.

  • Alan Jackson, one of the only artists nowadays that make music videos that show the singer more.

  • DAMN IT VEVO? AUTO PLAY ADS NOW??? OVER THE MUSIC??

  • yo man dus dis guy do a remix wid lilwayne? that be tight dem drinking fourty's and rappin.

  • The white house should here this song and run the country exactly like this song. What happend to work hard for you want and keep it all? This country need to backtrack to how it use to be.

  • True music! So fucking good music!! Howe can anybody hate this fantisc song from the fantastic ALAN JACKSON?!?!

  • @abcdefg1238114 woah bro you're cool for cussing, people like you are so ignorant and are more worried about fitting in with todays society then being themselves

  • @abcdefg1238114 No need for the f bomb dude. A small town southern man wouldnt appreciate that

  • @abcdefg1238114 i dont think its possible to dislike a song like this.

  • fucking mexican gtfo

  • ANDATE A FANCULO VOI E LA PUBBLICITA' MERDEEEEE

  • I gues 28 people are in the 1%, How can you hate true music. I started to listen to country in the past year, and wow, boy was i missing what true music is. Great songs and great artists. Wished i was born a country man.

  • Small town northern man!!!!!!

  • i love this song

  • not even from the south. im canadian, and this song still strikes home.

  • this song makes me thibk of my man skyler

  • so let me get this strait an actor who does nothing to contribute to daily life is payed an infinante amount of money when a farmer gives us food and is payed very little please let me know whats wrong with society someone who has it figured out

  • @pantherphamily99 haha, i know right.?

  • @pantherphamily99 With so much noise and trash on the airwaves and media blaring consumerism, I doubt many people will actually stop and think about such things. Such simple beauties are only visible to those who can stop to appreciate it =)

  • @pantherphamily99 I can answer that, many many farmers make tons of money. They're are a lot of millionaires who are farmers. Lots of farmers are paid to not grow anything by the government called a subsidy, this controls the price of food keeping it an artificial price. Many farmers only work about 5 months out of the year. My dad worked with farmers and I would go see their million dollar mansions. I know what im talking about. As with actors well they bring in millions to movie companies soo.

  • esta cancio es good

  • THIS song Rules..... Five Stars

  • Мне нравится!

  • This is one of the songs i can't listen to without crying. iLove This Song.

  • I dont always listen to country, but when i do i perfer alan jackson!!

  • i lost my greatgrandma my grandfather and my grandmother this year and they were as redneck as u can get they were some of the best people in my life

  • I lost my grandmother 8 yrs ago today :( i miss you bubbynanny :( i cant wait to see u again

    R.I.P BUBBY NANNY

  • @lonniewalker5 does it really work

  • @lonniewalker5 this song makes me think of my dream girl amanda

  • My grandma died the same day as that person up there in the most liked. She had cancer for the 6th time! Strongest women I know! Redneck as hell, with a kind heart. She was the best Nanny in this world! She raised me just like i was hers, in my eyes & hers i was and still am her little country girl. At 10:31 pm October 9, 2011 my heart shattered, Nanny, rest easy. I miss you so much! Tell daddy hey & i love him for me. i know y'all will be waiting for me(: That & my amazing bf gets me through.

  • Honestly I neverused to appreciate country music as much as I should and I just recently fell inlove with this genre over the past year or so. While other artists are singing about cheating, drugs, sex, abuse, money, and power, country music is probably the only genre whose artists sing about things like the simplicities in life, appreciating what you have, loving your family, and staying faithful. This is such a beautiful song...

  • @ronicdotlove well said. Beautiful song too.

  • @ronicdotlove You are exactly right about that there is not man true good singers now days in modern life D: Country is the best music, It makes you think of the good times not the bad times!

  • @ronicdotlove I love you Ronicdotlove.

  • @ronicdotlove ever listen to bluegrass?

  • @ronicdotlove I'm the same way. I always tried to rebel against my country roots when I was in high school. I listened to Eminem and Lil Wayne all the time. Now I can barely stand that crap and listen to this kind of stuff all the time. This song somewhat describes what I want to grow up to be like.

  • Nice song. It sort of hits home how far we've fallen in this country. We'd all be better off if everyone treated each other with respect, worked hard, and did what we knew was right instead of watching Jersey shore and living like spoiled children. Not blaming anyone, it starts by looking on the mirror, right?

  • Even those we're arn't from the South, this song discribes my grandfather.

  • I live in the town where allen jackson grew up in!!!!!!!!!!!

  • good

  • God Bless All The Small Time Southern Men. Great Song I never

met my Grandfather from the South. I know he was a farmer,

was Scottish, played the fiddle, taught school, made

moonshine and was not politically correct. But he used proper

grammar and insisted his family did likewise .He said that they

may be poor, but they their grammar will be proper. Wish that

    I had know him.

  • @assenthia what happened to u

  • GREAT SONG FOR THE FARMERS AND COUNTRY PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD

  • this encourages me to make love

  • thank you jesus for allowin me to grow up in the south

  • @ownage751 R.I.P. to your granddad sir. i miss mine passed away Christmas 2002, he was a good man but had a complicated life from what all I know and remember of him. I wish I could see him again.

  • @ownage751 you're welcome

  • This song makes me wish I was from the south.

  • eu amo as musicas de Alan Jackson

aki no Barsil ele tem um grande fã!!!!!!

  • I don't want to see that little girly Justin Bieber faggot while I watch actual music. Take that little fucker off there will ya?

  • did i just see fucking beiber doing an ad before an alan jackson song??????

whomever did such a thing should be tried and hung for high treason.

  • This song represents the exact opposite of everything being whined about in Occupy Wall Street. A small town southern man works hard, bows his head to Jesus and takes care of himself and everyone else who comes along.

  • Very well said. Very well said.

  • @therealrevo He won't be working hard when he can't find any more work because everything has been outsourced.

  • @therealrevo bottom line money aint everything

  • Hard to believe that Alan drops his r, when he sings the word, 'Southern'. He hit #1 in Billboard, in '08. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a blessed week!
