Ravenholm is only scary cause its dark, there's zombies, and headcrabs and fast zombies go BLARRR at ever second corner. Vortal Coil is scary cause your afraid of having your ass run down every second of the level. You can here the "cla-clop cla-clop" but you trn run and its "OH SHIT HES TWO FEET AWAY FROM ME."

To get to the console go to Options and go under keyboard and advance then press 1 of the 2 checks and click the one that has ~ on it and you press that to get to console.
