I have a pair of OB-s that I built in the summer. They consist of 2 pairs of russian fullrange 8" drivers, on a 360mm wide(so its not a narrow baffle). Its more of a proof of concept, 2.1 system. Powered by a low end commercial 2.1 amp. The amp cuts the ob satellites of around 400Hz, but ive tested them to go down as far as 80, with a roll of 150Hz. But theose drivers have a Qts of 0.8 and 1.1 (10GD-36K and 4GD-35)
Thinking of putting together a similar setup. I want to use two Alpair 10 full range drivers on each side and have a sealed sub under each one. want to try and use a foot wide baffle with 0.5ft wings each side to get a crossover around 100Hz.... (hopefully).
I'm wondering, do your OBs go fairly low with narrow baffles? I'm guessing around 1ft? I notice you have shallow wings each side?
@Ridin24z. Come to think of it, I'm gonna scrap the wings and experiment with some very shallow braces each side. I'm a bit worried how I'm going reasonable bass from the narrow baffles though. I don't have so many large woofers to spare.
