cacti are considered 1 and one eighth blocks so it wont grow right next to other blocks so you can take cobble 2 above and in the middle to make it automatic so no redstone is needed

I liked when you put down the pistons! You don't need them to grow the cactus because it pops off naturally. So you just need to put a block diagonally to it and the cactus pops off.

You can dig in an L shape around the cactus below the piston and put water source blocks at the back then you get more yield because it has a sorrow flowing moat

endermen cant walk past water but they can walk past lava if you want to guard buildings from endermen put water around them lava to guard from other mobs

put a water stream flowng into the one between each lane of the cacti between every cactus and just line up cobblestone instead of pistons cacti cannot be placed next to any block oh and the cacti will despawn if they hit the other cacti so the most you'll get is 75% yeild you also might want to get a reed farm for bio fuel cells which you can use to give energy to the generator also get redpower mod it should be with the technic pack

dont need pistons for the catus, use cobble and when the catus grows up, it will pop off and put water between each catus to increase the yeld. its 50 meters not 5 or 15 and mark off an area where you can go past with pillers in each corner of the quest in the forsest. check around 12:45 for the reason of the lag, i think theres a mass load of mobs spawning like last time. i think the endermen has gotten to the buildings again. and lol on pronouncing my name. use S.S. Dragon instead lol

Alright nearby, here are some protips.

1) tomake a cactus farm you are going to need five layers. The bottom on is flowing water, the next is cobblestone in a checkered pattern, then put sand onto of the cobble and cactus onto of the sand. Put more cobble above the cactus, BUT NOT ontop, pit in the spaces where you can see straight down.

2) wireless redstone is installed

nearby, you dont need to extend the pistons because the cactus(as you expirenced) need room to grow, so when they grow one more block it will atoumatically break.

3) if you were to do a timer there are a couple: vanilla repeaters, despised repeaters(less expensive because of more delay options) or you could build a dispenser, make it shoot out an item onto a WOODEN pressure plate, and link that pressure plate to the dispenser. That would be about five mins.

Also it is the wind flying sound and chainsaw sound that's crashing your game. No fix I know of.

You can't make a piston cactus farm... When the cactus grow up to the piston it breaks just like u saw the original peice next to cobble. Just get rid of the pistons, put a block on the side you don't want the cactus to go and keep the water streams. Then most of the cactus will fall in the water going to ur chest. Keep up the good work!

When the cactus grows, it will be next to a block, which will cause that part of the cactus to break instantly. i recommend that you have water current on more than 1 side of the cactus so there will be a greater chance that the cactus will fall into it. Hope this helps :)

you should break the sand blocks in between the cacti and replace them with water flowing into the main stream, then the cactus blocks that land on that still go into the pipes. also if a block lands on a cactus block it is destroyed, that probably accounts for some of your lost harvest.

The problem is that you always leave the forest biome and you are too fast too. you had 2 hours left, you should had simply stayed within the forest Also the lag is caused by spawning too many creatures I guess, its not the town or anything.

Because of the block at the top, the cactus will automatically be destroyed and fall in the water beside it.

You can expand this if you want and make it with more layers. You can also place a sand on the top block and a cactus on the sand to expand it vertically,

A cactus block will break whenever any block is directly adjacent to it. If you put the pistons in an alternating pattern with the catcti (move all your current cacti or pistons one to the left or right) then pressing the pistons out will move it adjacent to the cactus, knocking it down. Hope that helps.
