  • SKATE! OR! DIE!

    SKATE! NOR! DIE!

    SKATE! XOR! DIE!

    SKATE! AND! DIE!

    SKATE! NAND! DIE!

    SKATE! INVERTER! DIE!

  • TEAM ENEMY LIVES!!!!!!

  • okay, i can understand someone preferring the C64 version of the title song, but the entire rest of the NES soundtrack takes a steamy monster dump all over the C64 version and it's not even close.

  • @helikestv I think I even like the NES version better to tell you the truth.

  • Kind of impressive in that many say this theme is inferior to the C64 version yet still pretty good, especially considering that the C64 theme exhibits some of the best music exhibited from that computer.

Rob Hubbard knew what he was doing, and he did it well.

  • Wow the C64 version makes this sound like shit.

  • @UrielDagda Skate of die 2 has a very close cover of the C64 version complete with DCPM guitar

  • skate or die DUDES!

  • push start key dammit!!

  • Daaaaaamn. I forgot that the first Skate or Die was published by Ultra Games. Good game...good game...

  • @nappa0582

    Nope. EA made it.

  • OK this just sounds stupid compared to the C64. :)

  • anybody ever play radar rat race? lol

  • i never could figure this game out cause the controls were so shitty

  • @pyramidhead138 Not enough practice, grasshopper :P

  • @Teebonemendez uh huh, right.

  • @Teebonemendez um, i was a little kid back in those days you dingbat

  • @pyramidhead138 It was said tongue-in-cheek :)

  • lol nes

  • i have this on my ipod just search Sideview or Nintendo Remakes (NOT REMIX)

  • I don't see how anyone could like this version better than the C64 version (WHICH ABSOLUTELY ROCKS). This version is actually missing a ton of notes due to the capabilities of the NES. There are so many parts that should be chords but it's just one note. Still a great tune, but not this version.

  • this sounds so bad compared to the C64 version

still impressive for the NES though

  • Thanks for the title... to the... title...

  • Skate ur die?

  • this kicks so much ass! so much better than the c64 version :D

  • @Gfors85 The C64 version actually uses a sound sample of a real guitar in its intro and is in fact the machine this game was originally designed to run on... Back in the days when EA released more games for the home computers (atari 800, c64, apple ii, etc) than the game consoles.

  • @GreatLakesDrifta wow, really? C64 still sucks compared to this so. thats what i think :)

  • @Gfors85 I think the NES version sucks compared to this! :-P

  • @Gfors85

I'd rather hear digitized Electric Guitars than the dull thud they replaced them with on the NES. Other than that, the NES did an decent job vs the c64.

  • @Scioneer good for you, I dont like the C64 at all and I think their version sucks compared to NES :)

  • @Gfors85

So I'm guessing you had the Atari 800xl then. :p

  • @Scioneer nope, I had obviously NES? and when I got this game I thought and still think that like all the tracks are awsome, maybe not for high jump. but the rest are killers. but my point here is, everyone likes different, just accept it.

  • @Gfors85

I was talking about the c64 in general, your post seemed like you hated the c64 beyond just Skate or Die. Many Apple II and Atari 800 series owners were envious of the c64s abilities, so my last post was more of a sarcastic joke about the old "8-bit computer wars" of the eighties. Yeah, I know everyone has different opinions, no problem with that.

  • @Scioneer nah, I had a friend who owned an atari. I hade something much older that I dont remember the name of. it had like tennis, squash and suck simple games all built in. you just flipped a switch.

  • @Gfors85

    Sounds like a Telestar.

  • @GreatLakesDrifta All versions are inferior to the version from Skate or Die 2.

Though the Commodore 64 version does rock very much.

  • I love this version the best.

  • @JuicyPlayer

The Commodore 64 version makes this sound like an absolute joke.

  • @rmcdev I've heard it and i wasn't too impressed. I never liked C64 music , even the Commando theme sounded better on the NES to me.

  • @JuicyPlayer

Wow. To each their own I guess. You'd be the first person I met that thinks that.

This rendition is pretty lousy to me.

  • @JuicyPlayer

    Your joking.

The C64's version is a billion times better than this crap.

But then again the NES can't even touch the awesomeness of SID.

  • @snake2006 Hello. This is not crap. Within the range of NES themes, this is one of the best ever, also including: Ninja Gaiden series and Double Dragon I and II, for example.

  • @jotagabriel1

But compared to the original SID chiptune it's crap.

  • "SKATE UR DIE!"

  • Wow this sounds so weak compared to C64's version.

  • sounds shitty compared to the C64 version

  • I'm about to be 26. this song brings so many memories

  • one of the nes greats I loved this game

  • Omfg this song. Makes mw want to play it again.

  • I used to play this A LONG TIME AGO! I held tournaments with it.
