They're are two guinea pigs at the pet store that are pregnant :) Can't wait till the babies are born for the one of them! The other one already gave birth!
@ohjeezitskim Yeah, but almost all petstores doesn't sort their animals male/female, they keep them all together. It's amazing to see the small critters, but not when they most likely wont survive due to early pregnancy.. that's why I always buy my animals from breeders :)
my friend has a girl guinea pig and boy. on the first day he got them the guinea pigs were sleeping.... the next day he saw 12 guinea pigs o.o and he didnt know they were having babies.

@TheRandomwaffle yes you do, they wont see eachother as brother and sister, so they will mate and get babies. Guinea pigs can get pregnant at 4 weeks of age.
@prideingaming It's suggested to breed them when they're a few months old. But not older than, 18 months I think, because their pelvis bones shrink with age. Something like that.

@maxflyingcowboy They can ofc fight, just like you can fight with humans of your own gender. If you get 2 babies of the same gender or 1 older and 1 baby of the same gender, it shouldnt be a problem. If you get a boy and a girl, they will get litter after litter and thats not good for any of them. Giving birth for the female is very dangerous and if she keeps doing it she will die young, The male will only think about mating the female and will have problems eating, growing and relaxing.
@maxflyingcowboy all animal fight, a guinea pig will fight for cage dominance but you always want to keep the same gender together otherwise you will have a lot of baby's and you will be over run with guinea pigs, usually same gender get along just fine but i do have 1 guinea pig that needs to be in a separate cage cage because she does not like other pigs

@ChisstTheCookie Thats not really true. The guinea pigs will be happier if they have bigger cages, they have lots of energy and likes to run around. With a small cage they can get very bored. I only used this cage for the mother since she was an emergency rescue, she moved to a bigger one a few weeks after birth.
That looks just like my little sister's guina pig, called Snövit (Snow-white) Ive got 3 female guineas, and Snow white sometimes tries to mate with her friends :)

@Elera88 Having them alone is NOT animal cruelty. Dont make such harsh acusations, I had a female guniea for 8 years and she was by herself because she kept fighting with other females. Its not always true. And this guniea pig doesn't need a bigger cage, and even if she did this would probebly not be a good idea as she JUST GAVE BIRTH. Think about things before you write it down.

its not advisable for sow cavies or female guinea pigs to get pregnant in 4 weeks old it may die due to her body size. a sow may get 2 to 3 or even 4 babies in a single pregnancy. love your pet let it mature first,

@maxflyingcowboy They can ofc fight, just like you can fight with humans of your own gender. If you get 2 babies of the same gender or 1 older and 1 baby of the same gender, it shouldnt be a problem. If you get a boy and a girl, they will get litter after litter and thats not good for any of them. Giving birth for the female is very dangerous and if she keeps doing it she will die young, The male will only think about mating the female and will have problems eating, growing and relaxing.

@maxflyingcowboy all animal fight, a guinea pig will fight for cage dominance but you always want to keep the same gender together otherwise you will have a lot of baby's and you will be over run with guinea pigs, usually same gender get along just fine but i do have 1 guinea pig that needs to be in a separate cage cage because she does not like other pigs

@maxflyingcowboy yes they do fight if the same gender ... however if they are brougth together from a young age it is alot easier to keep 2 of the same sex together .

@maxflyingcowboy uhm yes males do but its natural if they have been together since well basically birth thats natural humans do that with friends to!!! and if you get a guinea pig uhm well dont just get one they will go lonely and get stressed so get alteast two!!! but the cage has to be atleast 16feet squared

@ChisstTheCookie Thats not really true. The guinea pigs will be happier if they have bigger cages, they have lots of energy and likes to run around. With a small cage they can get very bored. I only used this cage for the mother since she was an emergency rescue, she moved to a bigger one a few weeks after birth.

That looks just like my little sister's guina pig, called Snövit (Snow-white) Ive got 3 female guineas, and Snow white sometimes tries to mate with her friends :)
Albinos are soo cute <3 But... just a question, are albinos blind? my friend said they where but they dont seem blind :o Snowwhite "looks" at me everytime i come in to the room, like she says: "Hey! gimme some cucumber you son of a bitch!" :P

@LhittlwCc Yes guinea pigs needs bigger cages. And you should never keep your guinea pig alone, get a young male guinea pig for your grown up male so he has a friend. Having them alone is animal cruelty.

Also "Animal cruelty" Is a tad Over exadurated. The guinea pig is NOT starving is NOT in poor condition and is deffenitly NOT being neglected. I had a guinea pig that lived on her own up until the day she died. She was 6 years old. Animal cruelty? I say not. Get off youtube.

@Elera88 That cage is probably only to give birth in as any responsable guinea pig owner knows that you should always split the boar and sow up before she gives birth !! and with my own experiances through 10 years of having guinea pigs and breeding them i would not get another boar to go with the other one as keeping 2 males together only works if they are brought together or are very closely aged and keeping one separate is not animal crueltly !!!

@Elera88 Having them alone is NOT animal cruelty. Dont make such harsh acusations, I had a female guniea for 8 years and she was by herself because she kept fighting with other females. Its not always true. And this guniea pig doesn't need a bigger cage, and even if she did this would probebly not be a good idea as she JUST GAVE BIRTH. Think about things before you write it down.
