@MrInsanolun It really doesn't hurt; it's just a game. I found Beakieas a baby; she was domesticated very quickly; I was planning to release her to the wilds of midtown Manhattan, but it was obvious that she was going to land on people to beg them for their sandwiches as they sat on park benches. I kept her home. In this video she was probably going through a molt. Also, we conjecture that she had been kicked out of her nest because she has a crossed beak-she couldn't survive outside.

I am sure the bird loves you, just not the fingers... I think it feels threatened by your fingers, or feels the fingers are in the way, and doesn't associate your fingers with you. I have cockatiel like that, I get kisses no problem, but finger nips are another story if the bird feels I am carrying too many moving perches...

Thanks--I know she loves me!  However, I don't think she's the least bit threatened by my fingers--I think it's a game! Be careful, though, that you don't get nipped...

Beakie, is somethin' else. Vinny sometimes has that behavior, usually in the fall. He sometimes wants to join up with the parrots.

We have 3 Amazons, 3 Conures, 3 Cockatiels & Vinny & Apollo. Apollo is a handicapped pigeon.

That sounds like a full-time job! Birds are really high-maintenance! You must have lots of space, too.

They have a 2 car garage. They have a tower, a play house; each has their own cage, and a neighbor to be bonded to. They are a community, when one member leaves the room-everyone riots. Sunny tells on anyone who misbehaves.

I am blown away! This is the greatest thing! Do they all fly around freely, and then go home when they're tired? (Beakie's cage is always open for her to come and go.) They are all friends? Do they fight? What are the riots like? Who is Sunny, one of the parrots? And how does he or she tell you about the miscreant? This is a movie!!!! Please make a video about this magical place! I want to see it.

We do need to film them. Sunny is a Yellowheaded Amazon, she is the Boss! She takes care of Amethyst and Zeus. She likes to visit her various cardboard palaces, with amethyst to help with security, he's got her 6 all the time and defends her.

Apollo cannot use her legs, she compesates well tho- uses her wings. Weird but she can fly, Landing is tricky.

i dreamed i was in a taxi or something trapped with a bird like this and i wanted it to talk to i talked like that, real fast, and it sounded just like a starling talking. i may have been talking in my sleep.
