  • wow beautiful

  • Keep on arguing, faggots.

  • i used to be a huge DT fan...and still have a little respect for them...but it makes me sick that whenever there's progressive metal they are mentioned..it's like bringing up motley crue up at a lamb of god video

  • @nycbassist76 i 100% agree, its so annoying when you go to a progressive metal song and all the noobs are like "woah this sounds like Dream theater" its probably because dream theater is the only band of the genre they know.

  • @zappafan: If Shawn Lane was still here...Who knows?

  • OH and btw. stop saying this song has bits that sound like dream theatre repetance. They have one of the members of dream theatre lol. if your confused about dream theatre. then listen to the bands dream theatre ripped off and youl see how crap even dream theatre are compared to them. bands like iron maiden and black sabbath. Dream theatre are not prog. They are shitty metal. (singer brings it down a notch to shit... his ballads bring it down to shit -5)

  • @johnpeoplefox Your stupidity baffles me.

  • @johnpeoplefox Are you fucking stupid? And it's Theater

  • @johnpeoplefox Dream theatre? Never heard of em'. They anything like Dream Theater?

  • Expetional DRumming and Lead guitar. pretty sure thats bill brufid and tray gun. not sure however(rythme section is fucking tight aswell!). anyone know the line up for each track in this album?

curious to know who plays on each track. p.s If any of you wierd sick twisted smart sons of legends wants to hear the band that Influenced all these new great prog rock bands. (not metal becuase 95 of prog metal is just mathamatical death metal wich is nowere near prog) then listen to Kingcrimson.

  • That solo...

  • Am I the first one to point out that 3:12 sounds exactly like Repetance by Dream Theater?

  • 0:30 to 1:35 i love that duel-like riff

  • Who does that most amazing solo I've ever heard at the end?

  • @nickfizzle1212

Ron Jarzombek. He's been doing progressive music since the 80s, and he has an extreme metal band called Blotted Science who just released a new EP. Check them out.

  • @Megawatt Watchtower

  • @Megawatt it didn't sound like him for some reason. he's more of a sporatic, pause and start, type of player lol. and yea i know about him, spastic ink is one of my fav. bands. and i also didn't realize that it says in the description haha

  • @nickfizzle1212 Ron Jarzombek

  • How could i call myself a Progressive Metal Fan since 1999 and not knowing this Band

    They are amazing,

This song lets me have a Braingasm

  • Scootgod solo is soooo fake, anybody who plays relatively good guitar noticed this joke, and the guy keeps saying in the video posts that he learnt "by ear" ahhaah SHAME ON YOU.

  • I'd carry Sean's babies...

    Malone's, of course.

    :D

  • Ron Jarzombek is seriously the best fucken guitarist ever.

  • @Liamst3r

I can tell you a Hand Full of guitarists that can play just as good a Ron Jarzombek ( dont want to hate on him he s a master )

Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman, John Petrucci, Kiko Loureiro, Mattias Eklundh

  • @VoxPopuli666 Why don't you go listen to some black metal? It seems that's what you're in to....people that like technical music enjoy positive vibes, YOU are not positive. And by the way if this sucks so does your mother,father,aunt,uncle,brother,sister,grandmother,grandfather...any hellspawn you have fathered....did I leave anyone out? Oh I forgot you.

  • this is so so good , technicality without letting it get to your head , thats what sets this apart, being technical doesnt always have to be a wankfest .....

  • @beastmry

Tell that John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess

( i like Dream Theater b.t.w. ) but there Last Album was kind of boring and repetetive

  • 2:45 Dear God, someone better clean up this jizz for me.

  • @VoxPopuli666 yeah. sorry dude. you're so awesome though. but seriously, just keep acting like you're the smartest one in the world. that'll get you really far ;D

    *its

    Irony!

  • @JacobQ91 Good try

  • @Liamst3r I don't understand that comment

  • @JacobQ91 Fair enough. But it's true.

  • @Liamst3r I don't understand that comment

  • @VoxPopuli666

Haha. You must be a pathetic little worm in real life mustn't you. You sound like some ugly little computer nerd in his early 20s, who trolls the internet to make yourself feel empowered.

  • @VoxPopuli666

I'l refer you back to your previous comments regarding this song. Until you learn some fucking manners and maturity. Don't try to act high and mighty. You sad little cunt ;)

  • @VoxPopuli666

    failtrollisfail

  • @VoxPopuli666

Cool story bro. But fail troll is still fail D:

  • @VoxPopuli666

  • Cheers Jarz! Nice phrasing. You too Sean. God damn it, love this album. Why can't I find it on wax!?

  • Love the timing on the outro section

    Respect

  • Bridge to engineering! We need more power to the speakers!

  • This is great music right here. I just wish I had known about them before.

  • this record changes general values after listening. massive perfection!

  • had to buy this cd after hearing this one song, so so worth it, i never get tired of the ending solo

  • SEAN MALONE EPIC

  • Anyone know of transcription books or tabs? I've been looking for tabs for this f'ing song for almost 3 years now... Some of it I just can't figure out myself.

  • PUT REFELCTIONS BACK UP DAMNIT

  • paul masvidal was in this band for a while idk if he was on this album

  • i read from a few different sources that Paul Masvidal was on this album too, but theres only those 5 names on the cover? of course, i read that John Myung was on it too, which i kinda doubt, but who knows?

  • This song freaking rocks!

  • I loved Cynic, and I love this band. I only wish some pitch perfect folk will tab this out.

  • @ImperialArmour I wonder if Ron Jarzombek and Sean Malone have Perfect Pitch?

  • @TheNeuroticBassPlay Nope. Just really really good relative pitch.

  • Sean Malone is an excellent bass player. I discovered them by Cynic, and I love this MOTHERFUCKIN PIECE OF ART.

  • Awesome song!

  • i just find like 3 songs of them on youtube or limewire.... !!! the band is really good but i find nothing of them ...

  • @ddh767 just buy the cd, theyr worth it

  • wut does their band name means ??

  • @ddh767 It's an ancient legend. Check the wiki article on Gordian Knot.

  • @Kovaji Or listen to Alexander the Great by Iron Maiden. "Whoever unties the knot will become the master of Asia!"

  • @Kovaji It is ancient HISTORY, documented by Xenophon. Alexander the Great was asked to untie a knot which was impossible. Without second thought he cut it and said"Ό,τι δεν λύνεται, κόπτεται"="What can't be untied is cut", which remains a proverbial saying in modern greek up to date.

  • @ddh767

The Gordian Knot is a symbol for a seemingly unsolvable riddle, something that encourages lateral thinking and simpler solutions to more complex problems. A legend is told about Alexander the great and the original Gordian Knot. It was said that whoever unknotted the intricate coils would become king of Asia. The way Alexander did this was by simply cutting it in half.

You can read more on Wikipedia.

  • @ddh767 It's a metaphor for "a difficult problem with no solution", like a knot you cannot untie.

  • @ddh767

Gordian Knot is the Knot tha noone could untight... and there was a legent that whoever untights the knot should be the king of all Asia... Of course Alexander the Great was the one that solve this riddle.. he went there and cut the knot with his sword.... And just said "Οτι δε λύνεται κόβεται..." Which mean.. anything that you can't untight, must be cut.

  • @ddh767 "He who could tie the Gordian knot would not only rule Pythagoras, but the whole world." It's a Greek legend.

  • @ddh767 A knot which was known as it was impossible to get rid of it. Alexander the Great just cut it with his sword.

  • @ddh767 To sum it up, A Gordian Knot is a knot so complex it cannot be untangled. It also symbolizes a situation so complicated, it cannot be solved. The proposed solution for solving something so complicated is with the "bold stroke" of a sword to cut the knot apart.

  • @ddh767

At the Alexander times, there was a ''saying'' that the one who tare loose the knot at gordio(thats a place in balkans, greece or todays turkey, i m not sure exactly), he would rule Asia. this was a VERY complex knot

  • Wow...everyone in this group is amazing. The solo by Ron Jarzombek is one of the greatest solos I've heard.

  • Where can i buy these albums?

  • What effect is that at about 4:15? Such a killer sound, so nasty!! Awesome song.

  • goddamn.... fucking nice!!!!

  • One of the best guitar solos ever!!!

  • Sean Malone is an amazing bassist

  • @21Kyzix12 Yeah man, he´s a badass bassist, as the collaborator Trey Gunn with bass and stick, this project is sick.

  • One of the greatest heavy metal guitar solos ever. Thanks for posting this.

  • Was this album released? What is the status of this band?

  • They have a wiki article you can read. The band is pretty much Sean Malone's project band, they have 2 albums released but they aren't active since the members of the band have other things going on.

  • @CtrlRm this album is from 1999. Just excelent!

  • @CtrlRm Malone told me online he was planning GK3 for when the time was right.

  • k i made the solo a video response and the copyright thing should be gone now

  • no man i might make tabs later but all of my solos are learned by ear

  • Right on.

  • yeah i know it could be louder but the guitar is reaaaally loud on the recording compared to everything else

  • okay it's on photobucket just search for ScootGod under 'people' and it should take you to the solo. i'd link to it directly but youtube won't let me

  • Sounded good, but it's hard to hear your guitar. I don't suppose you've got a tab written down you could share?

  • Comment removed

  • unfortunately yes. i can't seem to get it by the censors.

i'm trying to name it something else

  • i don't know why youtube deleted the old video. i put a cover of the solo up if anyone's interested.

  • Did it get taken down? I don't see it.
