  • Wow, i never seriously thought she was a real actress back then. I have not seen this movie yet, but i saw her performance was great. It's always glad to see that someone can show her/his real talent eventually. And she did.

  • I thought this film felt like a dragged out short film, nowt happens, could have made it myself as a 15min film. Utter SHITE!!

  • didn't like it .. it has things to say but the plot is far too simple

  • This movie was BORING. THE MOST boring movie I have even seen.

  • DUMBASS American.

  • quite a weak performance. here. The only convincing character is the dog. Boring, Michelle Williams never becomes a true, living person. Waste of money.

  • Story of so many of us kids out there right now. great film.

  • masterpiece

  • hey did you saw "vagabond"?...a small french film from 1985..it was directed by agnes varda.....awesome movie...wendy & lucy reminded me a lot of that film....both great films...i dont know if people realises that...their realistic-simplistic aproach actually puts us "in" the movie, with the "character"...cheers

  • The point is it obviously provoked you. It made you think. You didn't like that, but the film was effective, otherwise you wouldn't even care what you missed.

  • The point is that the film made me think and I don't like thinking because I don't like a film that you do like? The film was effective because I care that I missed something? Lets just say thats true, still, tell me what what I missed. And be as specific as possible.

  • you obviously have never seen any of the vittorio de sica movies made in the post world war 2 era. if you did, you would know that film is not a topical essay wherein you can pinpoint for another person the merits of a certain movie. if you didn't get it, we don't have to explain anything to you because you are most likely a big fucking idiot.

  • Abyssmal, didn't have a plot. Audible gasps when the damn thing ended. This film didn't have anything to say or do anything clever. People who can't get enough of "subtle acting" and reading into ideas that aren't there may enjoy it. Woman loses dog is not a plot.

  • I think you missed the point entirely as did all of the old rich ladies leaving the theatre when I saw the film. Too bad.

  • Please tell me the point! Seriously, I want to know what i missed! I'm not ruling out that its me.

  • Ok, if I understand a film in a certain way and you don't, how could I explain that specifically to you? It made me feel emotions, for the character such as a mixture of pity bordering on contempt. How can I be specific about what you missed while watching the film when you evidently felt nothing? You thought the film was "abyssmal" with two S's, for pete's sake..

  • Fair enough. Apologies for the spelling mistake hope it didn't offend too much. I did feel something for the character, although it wasn't anywhere near enough to counter the flaws of the film. Think I'll leave it at that, seems you can't ever criticize something on youtube without turning into a troll and getting nowhere.

Big mama's house, now THERE's a movie XP

  • that happened to me...

no money, none to ask help from, etc

    is a very human movie.

    5/5

  • looks like a great film... good stuff Michelle... keep it going! :)

  • I actually didn't dislike this movie but what it lacks any kind of dramatic diversity, just a downer at all times. It's like eating a bowl of sugar with nothing accompanying it.

In the comments someone says it's a leftist movie, and myself being of that quadrant must agree.

Kudos to the performance of sexy Michelle Williams who actually looks, in the movie, like a 15 year old boy.

  • It takes a certain kind of person to watch this movie, I think. I just saw it last night and man, I loved it. I live in Portland (Oregon) [where the movie was filmed and takes place] and it felt eerily close to home! It was crazy seeing so many things I recognized. Seeing the store Jack's . . . which I've been too that particular one. The streets. The trees. Everything. This movie is very real to me. It hasn't an ounce of hollywood glitz or glam, which I think is suberb.

  • what would be wrong with everyone simply being "ok"? Instead of the extreme rich and poor? Drop the high CEO salaries and take care of one another more. We would ALL be better off.

  • shut the fuck up. you probably haven't even seen it

  • Sure, MBArkestra, you have the brain of the size of a bean....I love Rocky and Terminator but I have my mind open to other kind of feelings. This movie is pretty beautiful but what can be expected from someone who use "MBA" in his nickname.... God! Someone who loves Rocky and Terminator should have studied economics not a MBA, that is for girls.

  • Leftist sympathy for the poor always ends when said poor have a southern accent, and have no need for the pity of leftists.

This movie is marxist pablum, every bit as smarmy and heavy-handed as the yellow-ribbon car magnets that lefties make fun of.

  • Actually MB are just my initials and the Arkestra part is a Sun Ra reference, but...alright whatever.

Also, I'm sorry but your smarmy "you're just a stupid meathead who isn't emotionally intelligent and sensitive like I aaam!" jab is pretty fucking stupid. I like all sorts of things and if there's anything I dislike it's mindless action. If you'd paid attention you would have noticed that I didn't say the movie was lacking tits n' guns, but that it looked tired and creatively uninspired.

  • This is a fantastic movie - I definitely recommend it.

  • this looks just like into the wild. same scenes.

  • Hell Yeah. When does this come out? Go Michelle.

  • wow. this looks intensely somber. i am already respecting michelle williams so much right now.

  • @sugaryourmind it was a great film I think..itsw the first time i saw this actress and i gotta say she did wonderful....

  • This looks like a cross between Into The Wild and Harry and Tonto.

    Promising.

  • I was thinking the same thing!

  • jesus christ i cannot wait for this.

  • can't wait for this. hopefully it gets a wide release!

  • it is so promising
