This movie means so much to me. My little sister has a developmental disability..and I always felt I couldnt relate to people about what its like. This movie was just..amazing when I watched it for the first time.

I remember watching this movie in 6th grade, right around the time that my mom worked with older people who had mental disabilities. Seeing this movie back then, and seeing someone around my age having that, really shook me, and allowed to see another different kind of person in the world.
I remember when Disney used to show us how people are different in profound ways, and I wish they would do that again.
What I don't understand is why they only showed this amazing movie like 3 times through 2002-2003/4. It's amazing and they need to start bringing back some oldies.
It's too bad that disney doesn't make movies like this anymore... I must admit, that I in the beginning of the movie, thought that it would be just another highschool musical!! But this is one of the most touching films I've ever seen!

This is such a good movie. I thought all the actors in this were really good, including Shia and the main girl. I'm glad the girl finally started being nice to the mom, and the dad came around more and controlled his temper (I didn't think the dad was all that bad, remember when he played baseball with Eddie - he did care about him, he's just very stressed from his busy job and has a bad temper).

This movie is precious. I LOVE Shia Laboeuf. He's so talented. I especially love the movie inside a movie. The part with the kite was so sad. Ditto that Disney should make more movies like this.

This is definitely my favorite disney movie of all time. I love it. and I agree with everyone who is saying that they should make more disney movies like this. Ones that have a true meaning. One that is based on reality, instead of on stupid things like these days. They need to play this on disney again, it's truly inspiring.

This movie moved my heart.
I even cried when I was 9 years old.
Shia Labeouf clearly did an amazing job. This is one of my favorite movies. All the bullies out there, should really watch this. No, not just bullies, EVERYONE. Although it's an old movie, it's one of the most touching ones.

I HAVE TO AGREE. its one of the best disney channel movies ever. im only 14 and i remember watching this when i was like...5 or 6.befor the the disney movies used to have actual meanings and now theyre just crap..like..what meaning does camp rock have? makes no sense. i cried so much over this movie. it really is a great movie and shia did an awesome job. thank so much for posting it :)

This is such a good movie. I thought all the actors in this were really good, including Shia and the main girl. I'm glad the girl finally started being nice to the mom, and the dad came around more and controlled his temper (I didn't think the dad was all that bad, remember when he played baseball with Eddie - he did care about him, he's just very stressed from his busy job and has a bad temper).

so much emotion in this movie. im a guy and this movie was th most moving movie ever. had me feelin sad, happy, n definately mad in some parts. this to me was probably shia labeouf's best performance to be honest. best tv movie ever by far. cant believe it got snubbed of an emmy.

This is such a beautiful movie, I can't believe they don't play it anymore! It teaches so much. Shia was really young here, but he did an AMAZINGGGG job! i wanted to hug him so bad throughout the movie. This movie made me cry so much='[
its 109248209348 times more realistic then stuff on disney now. over all, this movie is a 10!

this is an AMAZING movie! Disney should really start making some more movies like this and all the other movies that were really good. Lately the movies have been so cheesy and just not good. This was a time where disney actually took time in their movies and made quality ones rather than making a bunch of bad-acting cliche ones.
