While this film is very good, no footage can do this great painting justice. You really need to see it in person to appreciate the brilliance of this work of art. If you have the chance, visit the painting of Pickets charge by Peter Frederick Rothermel located at the Pa. state museum in Harrisburg. The artist visited many of the soldiers that fought there and included their likeness into the painting based on that persons location at the battle.

Secondly, the likeness of Lincoln is not being dragged into battle, but the body being carried away. If you go to 0:48 you can just see him come in to frame in the lower right corner. And it is not officially Lincoln, as the the artist did not make a specific note about it. However, it does look a LOT like him.

did you know that in that picture, Lincoln is shown being dragged into the battle and that the medic next to him is the painter?
