According to Jesus, the "Church" walked, talked, slept and worshipped with him, ergo the church is the people, not the building! Isaiah 56:7, Luke 19:46, Mark 11:17 and Matthew 31:13 all state what God's house shall be called. And as far as Jesus is concerned, he is the cornerstone of the House of Prayer faith! He is the solid rock on which the faith is based.

Then you still have to qualify in the scripture how you add United and the rest of the formal name. However, if what you are saying is correct, is every church with the words "House of Prayer" on the building GOD's house or just yours? If so what makes yours different?
The Bible does not speak of water hoses because they did not exist during that period; however the Bible does refer to Abraham baptizing his children (followers) in the clouds (early morning mist). This is the same concept. The prophet has still prayed that God blesses the water. The source of the water is completely irrelevant. Love & peace to all!

@UHOPCharlotte2 maybe you should research the pentecostal movement and the Asuza street tent revivals before you ask this question. The COGIC predates Bishop Grace building his first church building in 1919 by a over a decade. In 1907 Bishop Mason already had 10 congregations. Bishop Grace did learn from and study with the founders of the COGIC as well as others churches. Thus the the time does work and it is plausible that Bishop Grace had affiliations with the COGIC early on in his ministry.

I was attending the UHOP about 5 years ago and I remember Daddy McCollough because I was raised in the UHOP but I left and when I came back I learned about the Power of God and the Love of Jesus. Then the UHOP was a part of the my teaches and not the only thing. I learned the power of the Holy Spirit.I am happy I was introduced to the Holy Spirit
I have attended the UHOP off and on since I was about 7 years old. My great grandfather was one of the first pastors in the tent with Daddy Grace. I've never really understood the UHOP, but one thing I do know is that when Bishop McCollough(sp) was there, the church had an entirely different feel to it. One thing I can count on when I come to the UHOP is good food and good praise, but I honestly can't say that I've ever left with a TRUE WORD of God. Too much focus on what club paid what.
I personally know uhop members. When it comes to entertainment and parades, i got to give it to them, they do it right. The only thing that I am concerned about is how much of the word they know. The mission should always be to lead people to Jesus. Jesus is the only way. It is just like any other organization. If you can not live or show scriptures of what you preach, you need to go back and do some studying. You have to know Jesus for yourself because you can't get into heaven by anyone else.
Well I have attended the UHOP in Augusta, GA. I will agree that it is a misunderstood organization and there is no need for judging ones works or opinions.
