@AppStoreMod Kids...You kids only know what you know from your time. The same shit your own dids will say to you in the fure; "Dude that thing called macbook pro back in the days looks so weird from what we got right now lol"Stupid...
23 years later and not much has changed, the presentations looks similair, the same guy do them, the only difference is that he's not as extatic and energetic nowadays. What happened steve?
Technically, no, there weren't. "Macintosh" was a brand name to Apple for a line of computers, like "Mustang" is a brand name to Ford for a line of cars. The very first Macintosh was a Macintosh 128K introduced in 1984 (As seen in this video), hence the "First Mac." Before that, the "green type" computers were Apple I, Apple II, Apple III, and Lisa.
So, no, there were not "definitely several Macs before that one." Sorry. Try Wikipedia next time.
Can i use this video for my social studies project:: The changes in computers:: it would be nice to add a video like this as my top video to see the old mac..
super rich? 899.00 for a mac pc for college guys. I dont think that means your super rich. I have a pc and it sucks with all the damn errors and viruses
I like you because you're a mac user. My brother converted me to Mac and I bought my first iMac G5 last summer at the age of 17. I'm now saving for a Macbook Pro. I also like your Saving Private Ryan Video to Soldier Side. It is excellent and the commenters are retarded. That coming from a huge System of a Down fan.
This is the launching of the first mac computer that ever talked and had graphics on it. Back in the those days, they only use to run on floppy disks about 5inches or a normal floppy size: which ever they are. Anyway, at that moment, Mac sparkled big time until the PCs came Macs nearly dropped when they got Steve Jobs back in his own business. Its amazing how Mac designed it in 1984 that today, this computer is still running!
This was in 1984. Nobody thought about computers like this in 1984. Computers didn't fit in bags, they didn't play music, you didn't use them to edit pictures or make graphs. And they sure as hell weren't user- friendly. MS came out with something like this with Windows 3.x in 1990. When this video was shown, MSDOS 3.x was new.
RIP Steve :'(

Remembering that was 23 years ago.
That's pretty damn amazing for back then.
I'm amazed for how much Apple has been able to do for 1980. Especially for making it talk. That took a really long time to do.

i bet they wouldve gone insane and started a riot if i showed them my 500 gig hard drive. what were the size of the HDs back then?
HenrySegura 5 years ago
If you recall, they didn't have harddrives. Everything had to boot off of a disk.
I think the most a harddrive was would be something like 256k-1 meg.
