  • Boy times have changed. He's dressed like it's the Oscars!

  • ROFLLL steve jobs with hair! Mac FTW :D

  • I like how it was a big deal back then, but then new strides in technological innovation are met with the same applaus today.

  • haha back when floppy disks and computers bigger than your head were high tech i giggled when he pulled out the floppy disc and people cheered.

  • JESUS CHRIST! Is that really Steve Jobs?!? He looks so different!

  • Dude that thing looks so weird from what we got right now lol

  • lol look how young jobs looked back then. its so amazing of how him and wozniak built the first mac by hand in jobs garage.

  • Those graphics are almost as good as the graphics on my home phone.

  • Remembering that was 23 years ago.

That's pretty damn amazing for back then.

I'm amazed for how much Apple has been able to do for 1980. Especially for making it talk. That took a really long time to do.

  • Daaaaaamn!! Can you say HD?!

  • wowow lol people were so impressed that time

  • wow thats...

  • 23 years later and not much has changed, the presentations looks similair, the same guy do them, the only difference is that he's not as extatic and energetic nowadays. What happened steve?

  • Cool

  • lol, i'm watching this on my new imac

  • This is pretty funny now xD

  • there was definitley several macs before that one

macs startted out as black screens with green type and no pictures

  • Technically, no, there weren't. "Macintosh" was a brand name to Apple for a line of computers, like "Mustang" is a brand name to Ford for a line of cars. The very first Macintosh was a Macintosh 128K introduced in 1984 (As seen in this video), hence the "First Mac." Before that, the "green type" computers were Apple I, Apple II, Apple III, and Lisa.

So, no, there were not "definitely several Macs before that one." Sorry. Try Wikipedia next time.

  • that shit is big as hell!

  • Mac classic is big? No it's not.

  • there was 1 other mac before this one you idiots

  • Can i use this video for my social studies project:: The changes in computers:: it would be nice to add a video like this as my top video to see the old mac..

  • ...and macs still suck.

  • DAMN! that thing is old as Moses. Pretty sweet, tho

  • this is a wicked video btw 4*

  • this was back when macs were good.

  • This was back when faggots like you weren't retarded. :)

  • oh so ur a mac fanboy, must have super rich folks then?! and i've always been retarded ¬_¬

  • Super rich folks? I buy everything myself. It's not really that hard to save up for a $1,600 computer.

  • ok so yur old then

  • @evaluationunit It is when you are not american and $1,600 are your year salary

  • super rich? 899.00 for a mac pc for college guys. I dont think that means your super rich. I have a pc and it sucks with all the damn errors and viruses

  • @kobejonez have you ever seen an alienware -_-

  • rawwr. i love this video só much

  • i bet they wouldve gone insane and started a riot if i showed them my 500 gig hard drive. what were the size of the HDs back then?

  • If you recall, they didn't have harddrives. Everything had to boot off of a disk.

I think the most a harddrive was would be something like 256k-1 meg.

  • when i watch stuff like this, I go 'wow'.. computers have changed a lot over the past 20 years.. yay for macs :D

  • I like you because you're a mac user. My brother converted me to Mac and I bought my first iMac G5 last summer at the age of 17. I'm now saving for a Macbook Pro. I also like your Saving Private Ryan Video to Soldier Side. It is excellent and the commenters are retarded. That coming from a huge System of a Down fan.

  • This is the launching of the first mac computer that ever talked and had graphics on it. Back in the those days, they only use to run on floppy disks about 5inches or a normal floppy size: which ever they are. Anyway, at that moment, Mac sparkled big time until the PCs came Macs nearly dropped when they got Steve Jobs back in his own business. Its amazing how Mac designed it in 1984 that today, this computer is still running!

  • This was in 1984. Nobody thought about computers like this in 1984. Computers didn't fit in bags, they didn't play music, you didn't use them to edit pictures or make graphs. And they sure as hell weren't user- friendly. MS came out with something like this with Windows 3.x in 1990. When this video was shown, MSDOS 3.x was new.

  • Macintosh users are easily amused.

  • One of my favorite videos about the mac ever.

  • Simply Amazing.

    Wow.
