Thus they make everyone who works outside of their offices to make up different characters and the like so as to not screw up what they want to do. Look at the animated movie "Ultramarine". Though the story was written by Dan Abnett, it still doesn't follow the way the Ultramarine's are a codex chapter... etc.. etc..

you cant take cover, its more fast paced, heavily focused on close combat, jet packs, it has a story lol, customisation, no health regeneration, different art style etc...
If u noticed that Blood Raven around 0:22 or w/e u should know that Relic actually put the Blood Ravens in the campaign (they love their Blood Ravens)

@Letitallfuckingburn Blizzard use 40k as a reference, along side a crap ton of other Sci-fi stuff including Aliens (Dropship anyone?) and Robocop (the Goliath) The Space Marines were influences on the Terrans (marines, ghosts, vultures etc), the Eldar on the Protoss (protoss gateways, drone tech, being an ancient race with lots of tech), the Tyranids helped influence the Zerg, which in turn had been influenced by the Xenomorphs in Alien.
@termnus77 other way around space marines influenced terran, Eldar influenced protoss,etc. But I do agree they both get a lot of material from sci-fi moves. However my agurement is how can 40k ripoff starcraft when it came before starcraft can you answer me that.

Blizzard originally stated their original intention of Starcraft was orcs in space... But keep in mind it isn't graphics (number of polygons) but aesthetics (colour palette, character design, weapon design, world design, sounds and general aura of the game) that make or break a game. And personally I like the aesthetics of this game very much.

it is funny that whenever a new warhammer 40k pc game appears, the orks and the forces of chaos and occasionaly the arrogant eldars are always the first enemies to be shown, no necrons (other than dawn of war winter assault, dark crusade and soul storm) or any other major faction makes an appearence, THQ do warhammer 40k justice and throw some nids or necrons as part of an expansion pack for this game :D
I know really. You never hear about the Tau or the Dark Eldar, expect in the Dawn of War 1 expansions. Thats why I really enjoyed 'Fire Warrior', because it gave a perception of the Warhammer 40k universe through the Tau. That is probably the only 40k video game that ever focused on a race besides the Imperium of Man.

People need to get their fucking facts straight. This game is based off the tabletop wargame called Warhammer 40000 which came out in the 80s. The characters in this video were first designed (including the chainswords and whatnot) in the 80s and 90s. Warhammer didn't copy Gears or Halo, and they probably didn't copy Warhammer. They're different games altogether. That said, Blizzard was supposed to make a Warhammer game but when GW backed out they still released a tweaked version: Warcraft

Namely Terran Marines look awfully similar to Space Marines and the Zerg are straight up knockoffs of the Tyranids. I am so glad that THQ and Relic are expanding on this IP. Warhammer and Warhammer 40k have much cooler lore than Blizzard games.

I wouldn't say they are that bad.
But keep in mind it isn't graphics (number of polygons) but aesthetics (colour palette, character design, weapon design, world design, sounds and general aura of the game) that make or break a game. And personally I like the aesthetics of this game very much.

it is funny that whenever a new warhammer 40k pc game appears, the orks and the forces of chaos and occasionaly the arrogant eldars are always the first enemies to be shown, no necrons (other than dawn of war winter assault, dark crusade and soul storm) or any other major faction makes an appearence, THQ do warhammer 40k justice and throw some nids or necrons as part of an expansion pack for this game :D

I know really. You never hear about the Tau or the Dark Eldar, expect in the Dawn of War 1 expansions. Thats why I really enjoyed 'Fire Warrior', because it gave a perception of the Warhammer 40k universe through the Tau. That is probably the only 40k video game that ever focused on a race besides the Imperium of Man.

i started playing warhammer's games 2 years ago, starting with dawn of war, ive had every single game since, including dawn of war 2, i tried the tabletop game, and couldnt get the painting right cause im only 15, but i love this freaking game, and i advice everyone to atleast give the game a try when it comes out, and it IS NOT a freaking ripoff of gears of war, these games and such were out wayyyy before gears of war

People need to get their fucking facts straight. This game is based off the tabletop wargame called Warhammer 40000 which came out in the 80s. The characters in this video were first designed (including the chainswords and whatnot) in the 80s and 90s. Warhammer didn't copy Gears or Halo, and they probably didn't copy Warhammer. They're different games altogether. That said, Blizzard was supposed to make a Warhammer game but when GW backed out they still released a tweaked version: Warcraft

@chaziscool1234 absolutely correct. On top of that look at Starcraft and alot of it is borrowed from 40k. Namely Terran Marines look awfully similar to Space Marines and the Zerg are straight up knockoffs of the Tyranids. I am so glad that THQ and Relic are expanding on this IP. Warhammer and Warhammer 40k have much cooler lore than Blizzard games.
