Hi Jason, got some plants in veg that are healthy and thriving. Growing in rockwool and the ph has Been stable so far, run off is coming out pretty near to what I'm feeding them 5.8ish. Past couple of days the tun off is measuring around 4.4, do you know what this could be? Any ideas welcome guys, peace...

Foil the floor as well, think about the amount of light that goes straight down to warm the floor up.
The bitch with 1kW bulbs is the heat and spread. They get stupid hot. It needs air cooling if it's not in some massive warehouse. Also, when a 1kW is right up close (air cooled) that's dumping a lot of light in one place, which is not necessarily the best e.g. leaf shadows.
Quite a few people use more lower wattages rather than one big one to spread the heat and light out.
Please don't ever try to lean into the fact that a 600 watt bulb will produce you more fruit because thats been proven to be incorrect te and time again by myself included.
Lumatek is the best ballast available. 100% silent, not too hot, and dimable. You can put your 600w ballast and your 600w light to run just like a 400 when you want. I suggest all fellow growers to take a look at Lumatek they are the best for years no doubt about that

I agree a divider could have been deployed making things fore accurate. We still got the outcome from test one and test two will have a divider to deal with the cross light contamination!

I noticed that alot of BC grows like yours and the ones remo shows, seem to have bulbs hanging between plants, parabolic style, with no reflector. I also notice that in most of the grows, where they have them like that, they also didnt top. So is the lights hanging between the plants, so the lower budds get good light too, since there so far away from the overhead lamps?
the spectrum of mh allows the buds to have closer nodes also produces uva and uvb rays which i think the plant gets more energy from or causes nodes to produce closer. nice plants but room needs some work looks a little ghetto

NY Diesel it was a Sativa/Indica hybrid I got the genetics from clone thus the true nature of the genotype (strain) remains unknown other that it is a diesel lineage. You still need figure out what to do with the R.H. that will build in your room from running 18:6 or 12:12 for in dark it rises. Now the tent will vent out the RH so the plants will be fine. As for your personal living area try and be near a window so the R.H. can get out. (small issue) I would suggest using a 1000w rather than a 400w. You will get a pound a light with 1000w HPS in flowering to a pound and a half. Cross Spectrum Bulbs!

Have you tried the Sunpulse bulbs, they are amazing. The discharge through the tube is over 28,000 times per second. They come in different kelvins, up to 1000K for finishing. @Man2be23 no that crystal white you are talking about is blue spectrum which is for vegg stage the yellow light is red spectrum which is best for flowering.

600watters are alot cooler to run then a 1000 so in turn u can get that light alot closer to the plant then a 1000 = more intense lumens for the plant to use... depending if heat is a issue

Also, whilst it may not be perfect, tin foil (shiny side up) works as a great, cheap reflector. Buy a few ultra cheap rolls and line the floor.

It depends on what your being charged now. For example .05 cents for a kilowatt hour. Means it's .05 to run 1000 watts for 1 hour. So like
600*18=10800 watts a day.
10800*.05=$5.40 a day
5.40*30=$162 dollars a month,
that's just on that 1 ballast.

i grew some skunk 1 from sensi seeds under hps, and had some growing under metal halides, the plants under the hps yielded alot more, but the plants under the metal halide were alot more potent

NY Diesel it was a Sativa/Indica hybrid I got the genetics from clone thus the true nature of the genotype (strain) remains unknown other that it is a diesel lineage. The experiment was tree on tree from the same genotype started from clone always side by side and fed the same. Detailed notes will be on our web-site once we have a builder?

You still need figure out what to do with the R.H. that will build in your room from running 18:6 or 12:12 for in dark it rises. Now the tent will vent out the RH so the plants will be fine. As for your personal living area try and be near a window so the R.H. can get out. (small issue) I would suggest using a 1000w rather than a 400w. You will get a pound a light with 1000w HPS in flowering to a pound and a half. Cross Spectrum Bulbs!

@killpath i wouldn't get on that boat, i fell for it after the wave of LED's hit market i waited a few mo.'s to let product review's, trials & defects get out and bought the best on market at time. the growth in general from LED lighting is slow and weak. so i just added back my original lighting with my LED's as supplemental lighting. defiently notice a big differance with both but when i tried on just LED's i found out i had wasted 4 mo's to get a half oz. from 2 plants...i also put my light m

@killpath i also put my Light meter on the LED's and the output is alot lower than advertised on all of my LED's, it also loses lumens faster the farther away you go than my traditional HID HPS/MH

do you think that the 600 has a hood that directs the light down as the 1000 does not. I also notice the A/c unit is closer to the 600, this would give the plant a cooler area than the plant under the 1000 that is further away. where are all your fans?

Have you tried the Sunpulse bulbs, they are amazing. The discharge through the tube is over 28,000 times per second. They come in different kelvins, up to 1000K for finishing. 600W is more efficient than 1000, more lumens for the money, just because it has more watts doesnt mean you will yield more.

quick question, when you showed the two purple kush plants, you said that they were both topped and not grown straight up, what was the age differance between those two PK and the tree that was next to it, because you can surely top your plants and get them to grow bigger than what those two PK were??? had you just thrown them into 12/12?? just out of curiosity, tryn to figure out if takin the time to do a couple trees is better than doin a bunch of short girls and top em a bunch before 12/12???

I use reflective film by Easy Grow not Mylar.
The stuff I user is Thermo protection as well. We will be doing a video on the product in the near future so stay tunned!

A plant can be flowered at any size if clonned for the clone retains the genitics and age of the mother donor plant.

also i noticed in your video that your "600w MH/HPS" bulb throws out a more "WHITE LITE" than your 1000w,and your other 600w HPS bulbs do.... and your saying that that new 600watter is making tighter buds on your girls...well thats what everyone at "IC" is saying as well with these's new 400w "CMH" bulbs...yes lower watts...but the plants are getting a better spectrum of usable lite "vs" a reg hps 400/600w bulb

600watters are alot cooler to run then a 1000 so in turn u can get that light alot closer to the plant then a 1000 = more intense lumens for the plant to use... depending if heat is a issue
