My schnauzer does that when she wants to jump off places that are too high when she can't reach it. A great exmaple is a chair. I think Millie is trying to tell you to get near her and carry her.

I've got a similar dog (only him). When he hears an ambulance he howls in a characteristic way imitating it. He has an older friend at home (a mini pin), but she doesn't love him (too often barks at him and even chases him away from a food). Having watched this video with me, with no interest, he has just run down to the garden, for it's now favourite time for barking there. Greetings and nice strokes for Millie.
