Madonna can come across as cold and distant, but you have to understand her perception. Iconic status and fame is far different than general celebrity fandom. You are looked at and treated as if you are superior to all humanity, everyone wants something from you. After nearly 30 years of this, you tend to become extremely guarded and careful.
Anyhow, check out more Madonna interviews or esp. the behind-the-scenes clips or I'm Going To Tell You A Secret documentary. She has a wicked sense of humor and is quite playful when in a comfortable atmosphere. Like her palyful appearances on SNL and Will and Grace, F&S would have been a blast!
These two are wonderful comediennes. Everything that they say or do on tele is for entertainment purposes... No one but their own family know who they truly are beneath the surface. Of course all the Madonna fans are gonna be on her side but I gotta say it's hard for me to be with her on this one. Kate Moss did appear on F&S and was really funny, it showed another side of her, just as Cher on Will&Grace was able to make fun of herself. Zaklamp24, F&S asked Madonna to go on there show a while ago (yes maybe because they liked her or wanted there viewings to get even higher) she said no so on the next series they asked again and then it all started to become a joke and they started doing sketches on her. So they werent 'DESPERATE' for her they just wanted her once or twice then thought it would be funny to carry on and make new sketches on the topic which was very successful lol.
Jennifer rocks my socks. Also my shoes and underpants. I'd give them all up for her, and wear a bin-bag with holes for the arms if only she'd send me a kiss by return of post.
Madonna last album was one of the most succesfull records of last year. And she had the most succesful tour by a female artist ever. In june she will start the second leg of her tour. It will make the recordbooks as the 3rd highest grossing tours ever. Only U2 and the Rolling Stones are above her. So I would not raise her out yet.

Because it was modified so much to match American taste which was done by producers in the States. If it was originally written in the same way as it has been shown in America, it would have never been in a hit in Britain. As Zarathustra06 says above, it's all about finely attuned subtlety which derives from British culture and having an ability to pick it up.

All of those shows are complete rubbish, next to even QI, which is a quiz show, but is often funnier than the best of American comedies. The best of American snide humor is 30 Rock and Community, which have just enough absurdity to take it to a beautiful new level. Every thing else I've seen on TV lately is garbage.

yeah but to be fair Madonna doesn't go on ANYTHING. The only show she ever agreed to do under years of pressure from her own staff, was Will & Grace. Other than that she's turned everything else down. I agree I think she would have been great with these two Legends, but I doubt she turned them down because she didn't like them, she's just not into TV, like some people are just not into Shakespear - It's really neither here nor there, it just makes good gossip, and nothing else really

Madonna did consider appearing on Ab Fab in 1994, but in the end, she did not. Too bad, Madonna linked in a classic AbFab episode would have been amazing. She is constantly referenced throughout the entire set of AbFab shows and movies.

Madonna can come across as cold and distant, but you have to understand her perception. Iconic status and fame is far different than general celebrity fandom. You are looked at and treated as if you are superior to all humanity, everyone wants something from you. After nearly 30 years of this, you tend to become extremely guarded and careful.

These two are wonderful comediennes. Everything that they say or do on tele is for entertainment purposes... No one but their own family know who they truly are beneath the surface. Of course all the Madonna fans are gonna be on her side but I gotta say it's hard for me to be with her on this one. Kate Moss did appear on F&S and was really funny, it showed another side of her, just as Cher on Will&Grace was able to make fun of herself. Anastacia was on F&S and it goes on with Jeremy Irons, etc, etc. Madonna refusing is funny and they were right to do sketches about it because it's too diva-like and, sorry Madonna fans, but it makes her unlikeable.

Zaklamp24, F&S asked Madonna to go on there show a while ago (yes maybe because they liked her or wanted there viewings to get even higher) she said no so on the next series they asked again and then it all started to become a joke and they started doing sketches on her. So they werent 'DESPERATE' for her they just wanted her once or twice then thought it would be funny to carry on and make new sketches on the topic which was very successful lol.

Madonna last album was one of the most succesfull records of last year. And she had the most succesful tour by a female artist ever. In june she will start the second leg of her tour. It will make the recordbooks as the 3rd highest grossing tours ever. Only U2 and the Rolling Stones are above her. So I would not raise her out yet.
