iv'e gotten up to the part where you have to composite and i have a blue background. i have the explosion before the clip and when i blue screen soft it turns black and white. HOW DO I GET THE EXPLOSION OVER THE BACKGROUND? Please Help!

I downloaded the mask a few days ago masks and compositing and put it in the imovie folder i put all my other stuff in and I can't find it in Video FX and do you HAVE TO Buy the full version, and if you don't what happens.

if you don't buy it, for MOST plugins it will say TRIAL VERSION totally covering your entire project. the ones you need for this im pretty sure are free. thats zoom shrink and blue/ green screen

I mean I downloaded it but it comes up as a quicktime movie and it won't paste into Imovie effects, it works in Imovie Hd right.

just drag it into quicktime and apply the multiply effect i think. it might be the composite effect.

good question. I belive I used the shrinking and enlarging plugins wich alow you to move things around the more you shrink/enlarge the video clip. I forget wich plugin pack its from but I'm pretty sure those onse are free

i pretty much made this up. what you do is go on detonation films and the ones w/ green backgrounds work the best. download the chroma key pluggin pack. links in description. then download crops and zooms plugins and from there you can move the explosion around to your liking.

i swear its not fake. btw, it was a little pricey. it was 25 bux per plugins pack. i used mask and compositing and crops and zooms so it was 50 bux. definitely cheaper than final cut though

maybe so, but imovie will not give you all the necessary post production knowledge. It's made for vacation and other family movies not films!
