  • I'm a professional carpet installer. This is no way to professionally repair carpet. That carpet will come out or become visible in no time. It's got to be seamed properly, and the directions of the fibers on both carpets should be the same as to reduce visibility. Try using the method in the video with commercial carpet...disaster.

  • CALL A PROFESSIONAL!!!!!NO CRAZY GLUE GUY

  • excellent man good shit

  • DId this for two spots in my old house, however both times during my 'push down' phase glue seeped up to my thumb and attached me hand to the floor. The result, a lousy patch job and edward fuzzy-hands.

  • @ArkhitektonIV dont do it high

  • Man, I thought I was going to have to pay SO much money to repair the hole my dog made in my carpet! Thank you so much!

  • this is great! i drop my cigarrettes on the carpet all the time and end up with a bunch of ugly burns everywhere.

  • Great vid, Jake. Thx

  • i have a 3000 doller carpet and it got two small burrns from acid i cant cut it out its one of a kind

  • @chpthncook37 take some twizzers and extract the fibers one by one ..after enough fibers have been collected.. make a " bouquet" an insert it in the burn hole ..after the " bouquet" is firm into place... trim it with a razor blade..

  • My dog ate the burnt part.....

  • damn curling iron.

  • 2 people are land lords

  • your the man dude much love!

  • great video, guys, very thorough. now how do I fix the carpet burn on my arm?...

  • nice video jake!

  • @hamza78633 Learn some grammar.

  • I'm sooo getting my deposit back! Yessss!

  • Mine didn't end up looking that good, but my burn was the product of a small house fire, so I guess I'll just have to live with it. Honestly, I think it's because the extra carpet I had is less dirty than the carpet on the floor so you can see a distinct difference. The carpet is white also and the burn is bigger. Thanks though. I'll see how this pans out in a few weeks when the carpet gets more dirt on it.

Thanks this was helpful, I just wish the burn was smaller :)

  • Very easy and quick fix. Thanks for this useful video.

    thanks man

  • You are the BOmb,lol

  • your mom is going to be so pissed off

  • that was cooooool

  • Great, this would not work with our high-grade low profile carpet. It has these patterns that go through it, that even when a proffesional did come in to repair a torn seem it never looked the same. My brother dropped an iron on our carpet and it has gone a yellow colour (to make matters worse the carpet is white) any suggestions anyone? We may need to replace the carpet unfortunately =(

  • You are a freaking lifesaver! I just dropped my hookah and there are like 3 burns, not to big but there are there and i want my deposit back!! lol

  • OMG i love you... this video was extremely helpful thank you thank you thank you

Just really, like painted the picture for us of like, how much of a BRO you are!!!After I saw that I looked at my bro and was like, Bro! THIS dudes just totally fucking BADASS and now I cant wait to read his carpet repair story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHAKA!!!!!!

  • @ProfessorQurkle Okay one I wasn't talking to you, Two I'm a chick... And find something better to do with your time then sit around and talk shit to random fucking people, and yet on youtube? get a fucking life.

  • @WereIsYourFuckingGod

yo same shit happen to me last night

  • Thank you so much!!! You totally solved our life problems!! We appreciate you so much. MUCH LOVE!

  • @larcal369 want to swap life problems??

  • @JuicYouS Can you handle a life of fabulosity, a lot of pink and rude people??

  • @JuicYouS didn't think so, peasant

  • @larcal369 Oh well, I thought all your life problems involved burnt carpets :P

  • VERY GOOG MAN

  • Cant believe there are people here having a go at this guy. He isnt saying it's 100% new or the best way of doing it, simply offering a tip to a quick repair.

This is a recognised SMART technique in the automotive industry and works very well in cars. Although, they just cut the fibres of the carpet not the backing and adhere it using clear silicone.

  • This is what NOT to do people, this little guy is a joke.

  • life saver man!!!!!!!!!

  • The person who said this is a hoax is a complete moron. There is no jump cut to anywhere. The reason the upper left changes is because he is brushing it. If you look at the bottom left you will see no change. I can't believe I wasted my time looking for an edit. An edit would be obscenely obvious. Ugh. My only concern with this procedure is that it will come off again. This is very close to a pro repair, the only difference being you actually cut out the section of carpet you are replacing inst

  • I just burnt my grans carpet im fucking freaking out man.

  • It is a hoax. When the brushing starts, watch the upper left hand corner of the screen to see the jump-cut to a different spot on the carpet.

  • i jus burnt mii carpet in her romm nd im freakin out

  • your my idol

  • That was a very entertaining how to video.

  • Lovz it thanks

  • man am i glad that there are people on here showing all there tips and tricks

    thanks for the vid

  • "burnt messed up ass carpet that makes you look like your ghetto.." ROFL! pretty neat trick buddy

  • good thing i dont have carpet

  • I would have use a fork to pick at the melted fibers, fluff up the pile. get all the black fibers out. trim with scissors.

  • yo thank you so much this helped alot haha .

  • I burnt my carpet with the iron flatdown will this work in this case?

  • i'm sorry, that is a nice idea...but...

you voided the carpet warrenty and that is not going to stick. it may become a party showcase. when you move out of your apartment the carpet guy is going to find this problem. to save his own butt, he is going to document this with the cleaning job he does to save his liability and then they are going to charge you to have it repaired properly. kind thoughts, don't make people wreckless to themselves.

  • most of us don't take carpets quite as seriously as you do, nor do we include in our definition of recklessness anything that involves carpets.

if people can keep their houses looking nice by doing things themselves, saving money and learning new skills, more power to them I say. I have done this particular thing many times with perfect lasting results, though in a somewhat different way.

  • Woww... nice, but why you have to use resolve to clean that carpet, now you have a pach with sticky residue, it will look black in a couple weeks.

  • you my hero, but i have carpet that isnt too hairy , ;0((

  • Dude you are the BEST!!!!

  • Great tutorial! I don't want people to think I'm ghetto!

  • @kevinkuei - I dropped the coal for my Hookah- Perfect- I'm not ghetto anymore

  • Thanks!. This is useful!

  • i fuckin love you! u saved my fukin life!

  • Thanks bro :)

  • That was kinda obvious, but not really. Nice!

  • i actually burnt a 1 ft long strip of carpet with acetone and i feel really bad about it

  • tell that to my landlord when i get my deposit back.

  • @shoresidejake BOOOOOOOOM ! Headshot 2 U mister Megas26 ! Hahahaha

  • I was s happy to see this video. I burned a 4" inch hole into my parents' carpet, in an 800 square foot room. I was paralyzed with fear as to how I would pay for new carpet, but I managed to patch it and, wow, I just saved $8000. Thank you!

  • awesome! 5/5

  • thanks.

  • D: Never ever ever ever use carpet soap or spot cleaners on carpet. Ever. They are a scam. Anything that has soaps or surfactants will leave a sticky residue that attracts dirt like black gum on a sidewalk. They're just a scam to get you to buy more when the spots return. Use club soda or tap water.

  • So if you vacuum over the floor for regular cleaning the patch won't rip off right lol?

  • Nope! You can vacuum over it!

  • wow magic is your new skill :-)))

  • I love you man...and so do my housemates!

  • Vedddy Nice!

    My mom loves you now!

    Lol, thanks Jake.

  • ok nice, but i did burn my carpet with quicklight coal, so the burned place is round and it couldnt burn completely down, so i have now a circle on my carpet, and its not like one part, the carpet cosists of like u know, u buy a carpet and there are a little bit red and yellow peacec, nothing fancy just a carpet, how can i fix that one?^^
