  • @OthersShallFall why are you 16 and throwing with a 600???

  • Btw I'm in year 10.

  • @Brollz123 I'm 14 to lol.....I get around 35 meters with 700g.

  • Oh ma god nm 42m? That's great loI Thot u meant 42 ft when I read thy comment.... Wooopsss

  • @ChazDaSpaz12 ya it's pretty good... I'm 14 too and I threw that one 100+ feet... I just started too but I guess I'm a natural r sumthn....but dw I'll get way better no doubt!!!

and another question: What kind of javelin shoes are u using? thanks

  • @hecrekk I was using Nike all the past years, except I didn`t like the new model (plastic ones) going for adidas this year (green/white)

  • @pildavs i saw both. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

  • why dose the camera follow you and not the javlin

    fucking anoying

  • why dose the camera follow you and not the javlin

  • is it true that javelin throwers cant do curls and have big forearms

  • @azfootball thats right

  • murijāņi.

  • according to USATF 15 year olds (Intermediate boys) throw the 800g Javelin either in the open or the decathalon

  • I'm 14 and literally last week started throwing and have been told I'm very good with a 600g throw of 42m? Is that good for my age?

  • at 15 you should be throwing a 600g javelin because i throw it and m 15 years old x

  • at the moment I can throw 64 meters ;-)

I'd say, take a look at my vids, sorry the 64m vid is not on it yet, but the 60.91 is =)

  • With a 700g Javelin I can do 69.22m

  • do u have any advice for a new javelin person?

  • do not depend on arm power, especially not when you're training.

Also try to get a good combination of Technique, Power and Speed.

  • @UnnAmEdSilEncE when i thorw it it flips so its not a straight thorw

  • @UnnAmEdSilEncE cuz were like doing saftey javelin its liike 400g i noe really lite but it keeps fliping

  • @kingofbigkay then i suggest just try to get your form right at the throw, like keep your arm up, us you hips and legs, and just let your arm kinda 'swing' the javelin, don't put any power in it though, oh and try to keep your wrist tight, if u loosen your wrist at the throw you have a chance of flipping it.

  • @UnnAmEdSilEncE thanks

  • does anybody have any suggestions on how to get my legs more into my throw?

  • @MrGump17 When you do your penultimate step try thinking of pushing yourself forward when the right leg touches the ground ( if right armed). try to turn the right leg in faster also.

  • @pildavs cool thanks..oh and whats an average throw for a 15 year old, my farthest is 150ft (800g javelin)

  • @MrGump17 I think at age of 15 you need to throw 600g javelin !? starting out with 800g is difficult. at age of 15 with 600g orr700g javelin around 60m or 195 feet should be fine.

  • @pildavs ok cool thanks

  • EU, TIE TAČU MŪSĒJIE, LATVIEŠI!

  • Pretty good running form but horrible get off on that sprint

  • i hope he wasnt goin for speed in the begining...

  • javelin is all technique. im 16 and i was throwing 145 freshman year, worked on my technique with a coach in the off season/fall winter and im up to 170

  • i have never thrown a javelin before i am 5 11, i weigh 235 and bench 250. i play baseball to and throw low 80s. will baseball help any with javelin???

  • not not at all. while throwing a baseball requires you to bend your elbow while throwing a javelin you must have your arm straight the whole time. it takes more tetnique than strength

  • @lsuman37 : the baseball throw and javelin throw are complete different forms of throwing. 9 times out of 10 in won't help a bit. I played baseball all threw high school then tried the javelin out my junior and senior year. The technique is completely different. Although, throwing a baseball that fast might show good armstrength. At first I threw a jav about 150 160 with just the arm strength I had from baseball. After training technique for a couple months I got my throws up to 190 200.

  • not at all baseball is the worst thing that can happen to a javelin thrower the closest thing to throwing a javelin is like throwing football when you throw the javelin its 60 percent legs and about 40 percent upper body

  • noo, baseball will actually make jav throwing harder, its a completely different type of trhowing technique and strength isnt going to get u anywhere with jav, ive seen people who look like a lught breeze would knock them over theyre so thin but when they throw jav ud think they were on somethin. javelin is more about technique, getting good speed on the run up and being able to stop really quickly to put that momentum into the jav

  • umm im starting out im 15 6'3'' 170 pounds i run fast bench bout 150

  • nice. don`t rush the weights too fast. do some other physical activities, like jumps and throwing ball and jav.

  • what weight should my first javelin be?

    5''4 115lbs STARTER

i hav never thrown a javelin but i really want to get into this sport.

  • if you are young then you should start with 600g javelin. if you are older than 17 then take 800g jav.

  • im 12 any suggestions?

  • you need to throw 600g javelin ...

  • ty ty..

  • @12 you throw a 400g jav, 600g is for u15's age group

  • i did almost the same things at papendal ( dutch sportcentrum ) Only with a 6kg shot put

30m sprint and 2 leggs triplejump...

  • yes, that practice what you did is even more specific than this one. I wasn't that strong at that time to do with 6k and both legs.

  • Sorry for commenting on your throws but I think you need to keep your left hip more infront. You open up your pelvis too soon.

Otherwise your technic is pretty good:)

  • ok thx.

    good continuation, =)

  • What is your max of all test?

( sry for my bad english)

  • stand jump 3.23m

    Standing triple jump 9.52m

    Shot forward (4kg) 21.25m

    Shot backward (4kg) 23.75m

    Javelin (800g) 70.78m 2009

    :)

  • where is this?

  • nice keep it up m8

  • meters u throw?

  • 70.78m

  • How do those shot put throws you are doing help with javelin?

I'm guessing it has to do with the 5 step crossovers?

  • It is kinda speed-power exercise.

  • alright

  • this guy is not slow...that's javelin training gosh

  • wtf r u doing - just fuking throw it wen ur at the end rather than slowin down!

  • its a drill dumbass

  • when u do those standing broadjumps u put your hands up(good for momentum) then swing them down fast then slow when ur about to jump forward keep the whole thing fast... unless thats what u were tryna do then forget wat i said
