I think they are all wrong for playing Dwarves. I can totally see them as Hobbits, but not at all as dwarves. Dwarves are a rugged, hardy, stubborn race. These two don't come across as being that in any way.

They are auditioning for the roles if Fili and Kili, the "dwarf" twins. There are no other hobbits in the book "The Hobbit" than Bilbo Baggins. It is a book where one hobbit, thirteen dwarves and one wizard go on an adventure. To refer to dwarves and hobbits as the same thing would be very ignorant indeed.

I think they should go for it, if they're not right for the part then they won't be cast, so people shouldn't worry that they'll 'ruin the film' or anything, if they're right for it they'll be cast. I can't imagine them being able to cope on a film set, although they are very motivated and self diciplined, I think if they want to do it they'll do it to the best of their ability. it'd be fantastic they did it really well and turned out to be incredible actors. but, I hope they don't wear beards.
Yes they seem to have very likable personalities. As far as I know Fili and Kili aren't major characters so this casting might work if handled just right. I think Del Toro could probably make it work.

but that would all mysteriously change if these guys were in it.
the thing is, if they're acting, the wont be john and edward, and its their personality that people dont like, this wouldnt be in the film.
but personally, im a huge fan.
