lexus had this a long time ago? I guess that wouldn't do you much good if the throttle is stuck. there's a clear distinction between a Ford and a Lincoln. however, there is NO distinction between a lexus and a toyota.

The BMW and Lexus systems are inferior, they use cameras which are not as accurate and are slower, require more work from the driver. Lincoln uses radar. All the driver has to do is control the brake and gear shifter.

@MrShakDaddy I tried 2010 LS 460 and after 3 tries it did not park well at all. Saleslady blamed me for not doing everything right... And system is SO SLOW... I own 06 GS 430, so I LOVE Lexus, but Ford system is faster and WAY BETTER! Sorry...

Is Ford licensing the technology from Toyota? Aren't they doing the same with the hybrids. Self drive is right around the corner, folks. That will be the only solution to traffic problems. The tech has been around for 10 years. The largest hurdle is getting us 20th century dinosaurs to give up control. Kids today being raised on wii and joystick computers will have no trouble accepting it.

Ford doesn't use any Toyota tech. First: Ford developed it's own hybrid system but was similar to Toyota so they traded diesel tech right for hybrid tech right to avoid lawsuit. Second: Ford has a superior system as evident by the Fusion hybrid vs Camry hybrid. Third: Toyota's park assist is (was?) camera based and very inaccurate and slow (bragging right more than useful) while Ford's is radar based and faster.
