  • Forever on film , god bless them all x

  • Patrick Swayze 3

Rest in peace, we love you.

  • bea arhur had the most claps and shouts and she deserved it....

  • Asa Buchanan ♥

  • michael 4ever!!!!!!

  • God, clap for everybody or don't clap at all... I hate when they clap harder for an individual...

  • Perfect way to end that In Memoriam with Patrick Swayze's final scene in "Ghost".

  • Brittany Murphy's conatgious laughter will forever be preserved in the films she was part of, i hope she has found peace.

  • I miss them.

  • Can someone please upload Sag's 2011 tribute

  • Michael dominates in terms of song and dance in this "In Memoriam" segment of the SAG awards!

  • The Golden globes did the best of the award shows in 09 i really didn't notice until i finally went back and watched them all. The reason why is because all were included that should have been included in an in memoriam tribute.... coughbea arthurcoughfarrah fawceet cough. Plus it was just beautifully done.

  • No, but at 1:48, the track changes, and it isn't a simple variation of the themes from "The Dreamer"... It still sounds like John Debney's style, though...

  • RIP Bea Arthur..

  • rip natasha missing u

  • @2:25 , I'm crying :'( I Miss you and I love you now and always Michael

  • I don't really see how Micheal Jackson ended up in here - he wasn't an actor as far as I know.

  • @RiverHigurashi He was a member of Sag and was considered an actor. Seriously most of his later Vids has acting in them.

  • @RiverHigurashi. UTFan666 is right. Michael was involved in acting, not just in his Music Short Films (he did work with directors like Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola), but he had bit parts in movies as well (like Men In Black II).

I have to say, the applause grew much louder when his name and picture was shown on that screen! For that, it feels great to hear!

  • @twist58

    thanks for telling me :)

  • @RiverHigurashi

DOES THE WIZ COUNT FOR ANYTHING U FUCKIN MORON

  • @djcruzify

Thanks very much for that waste of an insult but as you can probably see I've already been told his merits. Theres no need to be an asshole when I was just making a curious comment.

  • If you're going to clap..Clap for all of them not just one.

    So rude.

  • Anyone know the music played in this?

  • @MegaSpliffster has already been answered a few month ago by kookfan:

John Debney "Theme from Dreamer" (Original Soundtrack Dreamer).

Melody also reappears in "The Noble King" & "Smart And Beautiful"

  • @triaxtasy Thanks.

  • i always get weepy at Natasha Richardson, Farrah Fawcett, Brittany Murphy, James Whitmore and Patrick Swayze's...

its sad alot of talented people died in 2009, and even more in 2010...

the sag in memoriam opened up with the beautiful Natasha Richardson saying, "how do i look?" and end with the saddest ending in a movie Patrick Swayze in "Ghost" walking into heaven... i weep at the end...

  • @ladybuggirl1982 I was fortunate to have seen James Whitmore on stage in the one man show "Will Rogers Tonight". Fantastic performance!

  • @scorpietta

wow!! really? your lucky, he was such a talented actor and i love his films... he was a one of a kind class act.

  • @ladybuggirl1982 Yes, he certainly was. I never saw him in much beyond "The Shawshank Redemption" and those lawn product commercials, but I love one man shows and my mom and I caught him at Ford's Theater in D.C. about 13-14 yrs ago. I've seen Richard Kiley, Hal Holbrook, Robert Morse (as Truman Capote), Ed Asner, Madeliene Kahn and David Cassidy as well. Wonderful memories!

  • @ladybuggirl1982 they made a great move by putting up that specific Ghost scene... i don't think anyone would have thought that at the end, he was actually going to walk on that direction... but instead of Demi Moore showing tears in the back, it would be us... T_T

  • @ljmisha The perfect scene to end this montage.

  • Can anybody tell me why i like these kind of things? is it because I want to see who is dead, or is it beacuse i want to go back to when i was younger and a lot of these people played a major part in entertaining me and inspiring me? R.I.P.

  • @yemieko I choose option 2 :0)

  • ending is always so sad..=(

  • Does anyone know the music used on this?????

  • Much Better Than Oscars! They Didn't Mention Bea Arthur and Michael Jackson and Probably More!

  • @andrewdisney1 The oscars were a joke. Seriously. Alot of people were pissed including me.

  • Robert Ginty RIP

  • Thank you all, for the great memories you have given us.

  • Sadly we have another Golden Girl for Memoriam 2010 - Rue McClanahan RIP

  • @mastermindofchaos And the guy who played 'Miles" Rose's boyfriend..

  • See, now this is the memoriam the oscars should be doing. Instead of having some singer interfere with the video.

  • rip to mj ,patrick s., bea A, and etc. all will be missed hey how come they didnt do don knott i love him so much rip to him!!!!!

  • We lost a lot of talented people in 2009 but at least they'll always be remembered.

  • RIP Britney Murphy, you were truly a wonderful beautiful actress. I will always admire you.

  • Bea Arthur <3

  • R.I.P Michael Joe Jackson, R.I.P Farah Fawcet, R.I.P Patrick Swayze!!!!!!!! All will live on FOREVER "for you are not alone"-michael

  • They saved the best for last.

  • One of the BETTER tributes

    Screw you Academy Awards!

  • its from john debney and name dreamer beautiful.

the oscars in memoriam was the worst i see not touching not emotinal

the best in memoriam was from 2007 where glenn ford beginning do have something this.

    thanx

  • @koofan:

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE REFERENCE!!! ^_^ <3 I finally got the song, yay!!

  • where did you find it?

  • maybe you can send it via e-mail?

  • Seriously, which theme song are they using for this? It's so beautiful!

  • The Oscars should take note of this memorial which was much better.

  • its not rocket science and should be an easy fix for the Oscars, simply DON'T have a live performance. A slideshow like this with music is the way to go. Live performers actually take attention away from the people

  • So they used Farrah Fawcett in the SAG awards. I sort of noticed that they didn't use Patrick Swayze in the Oscars.

  • he was the beginning when taylor started singing, but before the closeups

  • I loved it how they used that Ghost scene in the memoriam!

  • I think bea wins the award for the most missed! I was really disappointed with the oscar memorial.. but i think that the sag was pretty good.. two of our four golden girls were honored.. bea had a tribute .. and betty got a statuette.

  • @endora721 I miss Bea Arthur so much.. I'm a huge fan of The Golden Girls and she's my favourite. I know the Academy is supposed to just honour those who had an impact on film, but still...I was kind of sad she wasn't included... And I miss Estelle Getty too. They're both amazing...

  • @GEVMM

I know how you feel. Whenever I catch a re-run of The Golden Girls its almost haunting to think that they're gone because you see them there. That's my favorite thing about Film and Television, you can always go back and see people even after they're gone.

  • @endora721 still have betty white

  • i think the melody is something from Dreamer - Inspired by a true story by John Debney If somebody find it, please sent me link. I have problem to find that :-) thx and sorry for my english

  • we take our lives for granted sometimes, not realizing how special we all are until we end up in an 'in memoriam'.

  • Good to see Richard Todd included here. He was missed off the BAFTA awards in the UK his own nation but remembered by the Americans. Well done.

  • In every "In Memoriam" clip I've seen(this, the Tony awards and the Emmy awards) Bea Arthur always seems to get one of if not the biggest applause. And the reason for that is because she was...Bea Arthur.

  • Bea was a huge influence in television, especially for women in comedy. I almost thought she might get her own tribute at the emmys. Very respected

  • Farah's message from the other side to the Academy: 'so, I was forgotten. What is your excuse? Too many artists kicked the bucket? many having verbal diarrhoea thanking the world for that useless statuette? many having an ego trip? Never mind. My only confort is to know that they will all follow me with the only difference that they will go to hell!!'.

  • WAY better than the Oscars!

  • A tribute with more dignity than the Oscars. Thanx for posting!

  • At least their memoriam is WAAAAAAAAY better than the Oscars, at least Farrah Fawcett was in this one!

  • at least they remember Bea and Farrah and Edward Woodward

  • The ending was beautiful and MJ being fierce once again. <3<3<3

  • Of all the lines they could have used, who in God's name chose "You're a virgin who can't drive"!? Seriously, the person who chose that line deserves a slap on the face.

  • This was a better memorial tribute than the 2010 Oscars.

  • @dja69 yeah, the Oscars gave tribute to people unfamiliar to us.

  • @stevedacool

    you're so right

  • @stevedacool

You must remember this is the Screen ACTORS Guild awards ceremony.

The Oscars recognize the entire motion picture industry and it's contributors.

  • The best final Patrick Swayze in "GHOST" to this In Memoriam R.I.P.

  • the shot was great, but they should have left the line "the love you feel, you take it with you,? cause thats perfect for actors

  • When I saw this that night on TNT, I cried through the whole thing! Man so many lost...

  • yeah what was that song?

Another year with way too many gone.

  • I still cant believe patrick is dead..

    :(

  • This is great editing. People enjoy this but have no clue how long it takes to put something like this together. Awesome!

  • can someone post more memoriams from past years and have some one the full moment of the sag 2010 withe betty white when see have her award.

    thanks

  • where are this beautiful soundtrack come from
