For me, it's the first two extended notes after the bass riffs. They seem to go down a little abruptly, in other words, subtlety is the name of the game. Other than that, it's perfect.
I have to concur with some of the other tubers. Its the instruments. particularly the one that carries the main melody. ots unfamiliar. it sounds *ALMOST* out of tune at times.
I agree with xxBaiixx; this song just feels lacking in comparison to your other works. This song only has about two or three instruments playing at once when you usually use the full potential of the Super Nintendo's sound system in your arrangements.
Sorry man, but not really feeling it with this one.
I just think these instruments don't work well with this song, it only starts picking up between 0:40 and 0:55. Those parts work a lot better with the original, but aside from that, the beat sounds a bit off when compared to the original.
@DjKlzonez Woops, I forgot to put a "do" inside. I really love the part starting from 0:42 - 0:53 but regarding the part before that, the instrument sounds kinda weird to me. Like what kerplop says, something seems to be missing but I can't just think what's missing in this awesome tune. I apologize for the criticism man...
@DjKlzonez Haha! Thanks for not taking it so badly! I also forgot to mention that some parts could sure use some arpeggios which may sound better only to me, but well bro, it's your choice! =)
CAN I USE THIS IN MY GAEM?

X4 really did have the best intro stage theme, now that I think about it.

I think that the song DID loop forever on the PS1 version of the game, but it doesnt on the PS2 Collection version.

I also concur with the others regarding the lack of other instruments and the use of the misplaced instruments.
All what what I can give you as advice is to listen again to the original OST. You can truly do a better job then this.

Sweet! I would be amazed if you did the boss theme. Even more so if it had X3 style, you know, with the hard rock feel.
CommanderThunderush 10 months ago
@CommanderThunderush I dunno, I always felt X3 was more of the grunge genre.
DalekSam 10 months ago
@DalekSam Huh. Well, I don't mind either way. Something about it makes me think of the X3 music.

Any plans to SNES-stylize the Zero Opening Stage?

Yeah, you're capable of better. Sounds like you were keeping it close to the original.

The bass should be tuned down an octave or two.

Not bad, but REALLY basic.

I just think that it is lacking a good bass line. It defiantly not your best work man, keep it up anyways!!!

What instruments are you using? are they SNES X instruments, or customs?
FlameG102 10 months ago
@FlameG102 My videos are usually:
[Game Title] - [Name of the Song] in [SNES/Real 8-bit] [Samples used]
in this case, they're Mega Man X1 samples.

I think what it's missing is the bass from the original.

@xxBaiixx It's ok, positive/negative criticism is more useful than the usual ''WOW NICE JAWB, CAN I USE THIS IN MY GAEM?''
