Wow! Again, many of the clips are from the old movie, so you are all wrong about it being 'updated'.  They did update the Calgary and Toronto parts a bit, the the Mountie part is the old opening to the last movie. Again the same.

The Bluenose clip is the same, AND WITHOUT THE STAN ROGERS VERSION OF THE SONG!?!? You have to be kidding me!

Good on the Tourism company in Canada for promoting our great land. . but the ending was right . u have to be hear to really experience it all . i suggest a train ride across the country on via rail .. i heard those rides were amazing.

The old fim was dated, yes. A new updated and more modern film could have been made following the recipe for success the old film had. Disney is on a kick to get validated by celebrities and sometimes it doesn't work out. This is one of those times. Its still good and still makes my eyes watery when I see it (makes me terribly homesick) but just not as much as the old film.

But that's what Disney does. They're an entertainment company, so they have to use celebrities like Hilary Duff and Miley Cyrus in all their products and services. At least with respect to Canada, Disney was doing something right by updating it to show what Canada truly is to American tourists who know little. I remember in 2000 when the RCMP pulled out of a 5 year deal with Disney because of commercial licensing with the red uniforms.

The movie is supposed to be informational. Sure there were a lot of places like Nunavut or Saskatchewan that were not shown. This is only just a taste of Canada. If they want the rest of Canada, they're gonna have to discover it for themselves.

Clearly you haven't seen him on SCTV with the late John Candy, Rick Moranis, Andrea Martin, Dave Thomas, Joe Flaherty, Harold Ramis, Catherine O'Hara, and Eugene Levy. Before Martin was on SNL, he was on SCTV here in Canada on CBC running from 1976 to 1984. Martin was inducted to Canada's Walk of Fame in 2000, and as part of SCTV in 2002.

I'm from Canada and much of the information in the original movie is so outdated. For 3 or 4 decades Canada has changed drastically when it comes to history,geography, sports, entertainment, arts, and culture. We're not always about Anne Murray and Gordon Lightfoot. Without Canada, you wouldn't have the music, tv, and film industries.

Not to mention our dollar is close to parity to US.

This is the premeire of the new Canada film.. and listen to the audience reaction. They are bored stiff. When it ends, there are just 3 people clapping for 5 seconds. They could fit a show like the Country Bear Jamboree or the Kraft Kitchen or lots of better things in the same space.

I don't like being negative... but Martin sounds like he's reading a kid's social studies essay in most of this. Again being negative... I don't think many people enjoy the 360 EPCOT movies where they are standing on their feet for 20 minutes. Short kids are frustrated because they don't even get a good view of the screens. Standing to watch something means that the short people suffer. People are closer to the same elevation when sitting.
