you can mix three keys together-for instance if the first track was in the key of C major then you could mix the 3rd degree of the scale of C which is E major, if you wanted to add a third track you would have to find another track that would also relate again for example the fifth degree of the scale of C major which is G major! it might sound likethere is too much going on, depending on what genre you are mixing i suppose :) your tutorials inspire me. teach and enjoy!

I am sure you can Mate.. someone said as like a chord.. personally when mixing, I usually use the A,C,E, G principal as well as B, D, F.. works well with Sharps and Flats.. I have not tried 3 source mixing, but I am going to give that a shot.

QUESTION: hey, lemons guy is back...

a faculty member at my school got me and a friend a mixer and 2 speakers to dj school dances- nothing else besides cords- the mixer has like 14 inputs so im feeling this mixer is meant for plays and such- im wondering if i can manage with that type of mixer and im also wondering if i need to get CDJs or something so that i can beat match(i could use ipods but then beatmatching wouldnt be possible)

@Sh0ckanaw3 Yeah well you know it right with the beatmatching and iPods etc.

At my school we have also mixers for plays and things. You could use them since they have EQ. I dj at my school, they hire CDJ1000's and a DJM800 for me, thats better mixing :p

You could link-up like a laptop with Traktor or Virtual-Dj, and just put the output in your mixer. Then you can make mixes.

you cant mix them, if a-b-c. but some parts you can mix, if there are no chords or there is just a beep of note that is in those other keys.
