Good stuff to some extend but the pace of the video is incredibly slow. I mean, you could easily show this all in less than a minute. Still worthwhile to many I'd guess.

just saw this vid and thanks. Match frame always confused me. I thought too that Source file, changed the actual source file? Guess not. I ask because I often use the same clip twice, 1 at full speed and its dup at 1/2 speed.

BTW, in FCP 7 under the Change Speed dialog box, you can just uncheck Ripple Sequence. That should do the same thing as match frame, meaning it won't change the duration of the clip. You can then just Slip the clip if you need.

Awesome vid, man. I've always wanted to do kind of a ramp sow mo thing. It's been about 6 years using FCP and I'm learning something new everyday. I posted a vid comment that I filmed and edited it with my iphone 3gs, Screenflow, FCP, the CGM Aged Film filter, and the Line Art filter

btw what are your thoughts on the iphone 4, and what's with Apple revising the Imac when I just got the Quad core i7 in January. Guess they just had to include the option to add a solid state drive as well

Thanks! Another easy way with FCP 7 to change speed on a clip without changing the size of the clip is to Right Click, Change Speed, type your NEW speed in, and deselect the Ripple Sequence... when that is turned off, your clip remains the same size on the timeline.
