@sbrmetamorph In an interview, which you can find under "Ashtanga Yoga Jump Back and Jump Through: Maria Villella" on our youtube channel, Maria notes that it took about four years of consistent, daily (six days a wk) practice before she could pick up and jump back. Specifically, four years of practicing the Ashtanga Primary Series. There is no substitute for lots of practice. Thanks for watching! ... Charles

Maria Villella says: "Hip flexor strength could be the issue, but without seeing your practice I can't say for certain where you should focus your attention. In general though, with consistent practice, you will see improvement so keep doing the work."

i tried to do this a few times...with no luck...you made it look deceivingly easy...it was beautifully executed...

My problem is I can't get my knees close enough to my chest. Do you think that would that be an issue of hip flexor strength?
