I even have sleeping bags good down to 0 degrees F. just in case I need to leave in cold weather.

Actually I use it mostly for appliances; irons, steamers etc; but one of piece of equipment I have, a water ozonater, requires distilled water and yes it's for drinking but it is ozonated after the process is complete.
Well, drinking distilled water is demineralizing a human body. It will drain minerals from your body, which can lead to health problems, some pretty serious like heart attacks I suspect. You should investigate the topic to make up your mind.
For long-term storage purposes, distilled water is fine to survive on, so long as your food and stored nutritional supplements possess the required minerals/iron etc to keep the diet balanced. It is assumed (or should be) that you've taken into account nutrition for your "living-off-stored-food-and-water-diet" based upon what has been stored.
One more thing, snow and rain are both forms of naturally (almost)distilled water. FWIW

as a habit, I drink bottled, distilled water ( no flouride, residues, etc ) So each time I shop I just get extra gallons. If the tap water stops running, good ole distilled bottle water will taste even better!
@nyc10101 -- does the water in your area continue to run when the power goes down? Even if it the water does stay on, can the purification plants operate without power? Your tapwater may be just fine, but it is wise to have some set aside, at the very least, for emergencies. Even the FEMA sites recommend this...

Do not buy thirst inducing food.
Buy VERY good water containers- those cheap jugs leak. BUT start keeping containers for water etc.
Stock up on fiber like Metamucil. MRE's constipate.
Make sure to have salt. Can be used for teeth brushing, scouring sinks and bathtubs etc.

Banks now require:
1. 20% down
2. credit score above 700
3. one year expenses in the bank
4. Employment less than fulltime is not counted.
5. Child support not included as income.

Learn your history...they started to make 50 cent pieces with "JUNK SILVER" which completely devaluated the real value.....
when it comes to gold, if you can still find it you want pre- 1933 (anything after if they confiscate it you will only get $50 when it's worth more)...silver get it from Midas Resources(dot)com...
tell them you want the Alex Jones special and hurry up!!!!!!

It's junk silver, but when all melted down, silver is silver. The junk coins are the easiest, most affordable way for most of us to get our hands on it. It's alread at ten times face value. Thanks for the pointers. I like your spirit.

no problem...not all the silver is junk...only the ones manufactured after a certain date...the purpose (possibly) is to hold on to your gold and IF NEEDED use your silver to barter or make necessary purposes...
good info on the arena football issue...I know some people and was not informed about that...it seems like the real deal too...the rumors are true...seemingly...I just googled it and it looks like the arena football people had to put out a statement about it...

Get quarters and dimes made before 1965 and they are 70% silver.
A quarter from 1964 is worth about $2 if silver sells for $15 an oz.
There is still time to purchase 1oz rounds, but know that coin dealers will become wary of PM bars as conmen drill out the side and fill with lead. (but if you can wait a couple days, they can process to test).

Also, distilled water (sealed in food-grade HDPE containers) will keep indefinitely, since there are no metals or minerals in it.

just encourage mothers to NOT purchase that baby water found in most grocery stores....it is filled to high heaven with poison FLOURIDE...tell them to not taint that baby with flouride

Wow! I had no idea! Thanks for the info Chelle. Don't know anything about Berkely water filters but personally have both silver colloid maker and a water ozonator device the latter of which operates off of either a/c or d/c.

the water thing is cool...like ecoloblue, but what happens when the powers to be go really crazy with this chemtrail stuff....I don't think anyone would really want to gather water particles from the (tainted) air itself...just saying...I have a vid on my favorites (see the part 3 version of it) to see what to do in a post SHTF scenario and how to gather water even in nuclear fallout or some blue flu event...i think it's on the 2nd page of my favorites by now

Actually I use it mostly for appliances; irons, steamers etc; but one of piece of equipment I have, a water ozonater, requires distilled water and yes it's for drinking but it is ozonated after the process is complete.

Well, drinking distilled water is demineralizing a human body. It will drain minerals from your body, which can lead to health problems, some pretty serious like heart attacks I suspect. You should investigate the topic to make up your mind.

For long-term storage purposes, distilled water is fine to survive on, so long as your food and stored nutritional supplements possess the required minerals/iron etc to keep the diet balanced. It is assumed (or should be) that you've taken into account nutrition for your "living-off-stored-food-and-water-diet" based upon what has been stored.
One more thing, snow and rain are both forms of naturally (almost)distilled water. FWIW

We're going to be making our own MREs as soon as the 5-shelf dehydrator we order arrives. (49.99-eBay inc S&H) I even found out how to make your own powdered whole eggs! MREs are going for about 50 bucks a 12-pack case, and if trying to stock up for a year or so (or 3½ for some like me), that can get pretty expensive. We'll be making our own jerky, veggies, fruits, buying up freeze-dried soups and potato flakes and just getting ready for what's coming. Oh, and 5:58 ROFL I do that all the time!

as a habit, I drink bottled, distilled water ( no flouride, residues, etc ) So each time I shop I just get extra gallons. If the tap water stops running, good ole distilled bottle water will taste even better!

@nyc10101 -- does the water in your area continue to run when the power goes down? Even if it the water does stay on, can the purification plants operate without power? Your tapwater may be just fine, but it is wise to have some set aside, at the very least, for emergencies. Even the FEMA sites recommend this...
