  • I saw a guy falling off his bike in the snow today. The first thing that went through my mind was "Ippon!"

  • mai ce tare!!! I LOVE JUDO!!! chiar nu stiu ce m-as fi facut daca nu stiam de judo!

  • Whats the song´s name? o.o

  • @MarjunelV I actually feel like it's from some Gran Turismo Soundtrack...

  • wat a mans sport

  • Good Stuff!!!

  • whats the nam e of the song

  • Eeu

  • mix this video with this song! limp bizkit break stuff is the name, it realy match! :D

  • 32 got ipponed

  • 5:07 Ellen Degeneres!

  • 32 peoples dont know what is to be a weapon.

  • It's not the art, it's the artist. period.

  • If that Frenchman on 6:45 had catched the Korean with his foot, that would have been been a sick move

  • I don't think I've ever heard a more unfitting piece of music...

  • judo and bjj go hand in hand ....jiu-jitsu derived from judo, they compliment each other very well. wrestling is also important....the best judokan could throw a bjj guy, and if the bjj guy counters and lands so an ippon is not called, then bjj would probably be the victor....or the wrestler, since pins are also used in judo...just my random thoughts

  • Is there a countdown after the throwdown or not? Because my PE teacher told us that there would be a countdown of 25 seconds. But in this video they cheer right after every throwdown.

  • @cilocloy

countdown only occurs if an ippon is not scored and you go into matwork. then an ippon is a 25 second hold

  • @cilocloy they get and ippon (full point) for throwing them like that so they preety much won

  • which is better judo or bjj?

  • @limemintify Both. They're so similar, it depends more on the fighter and your instructor than the style.

  • @limemintify JUDO

  • 1:30 i though double leg was forbidden in competition.

  • @2ossy

You can go for leg picks as a counter or combination. You just can't go straight for the legs.

  • @Maniac093 Ok, but he was going straight in...

  • @2ossy

I forgot that they had changed the rules a couple years back. It used to be legal.

  • @2ossy

yes it is....but it wasnt a couple years ago so that probably is an old ippon

  • Comment removed

  • that throw at about 4:17 is absolutely beautiful!

  • great vid, music sucks though

  • @zensur100 yeah sounds like porn music

  • 30 ppl will get their asses kicked by a young Judoka's^^

  • and @ 1:40 was NOT an ippon...

  • wtf at 1:30? you cant just go in and grab their legs lol i'm glad they got thrown for that

  • Loved the music. It went good with this video

  • great!

  • Nice video. Loved it.

Just sayin though, the music was annoying.

  • Cool vid..but do we really need to see the same ippons, from the same to guys 2-3 times in a row?

  • Why is it that an ippon ends a Judo match?

  • @Svittidiu because if you land someone on their shoulders with a throw, they're going to be out for the count. That may not be true on the mat, but it reflects the reality of the throw's effectiveness.

  • @ThatScot Thanks. That is what I assumed the reason to be.

  • @Svittidiu because that is all this tournament does. Other Judo tournaments go on the ground and have a grappling aspect. But they get stood up a lot from what i seen. Unlike BJJ.

  • belle images et vive le judo dans toutes ses formes mais donner aussi le nom des musiques dans vos clips svp-------

  • All is great ippon, something to ask, where can i find the soundtracks ! Thanks, I really want to know !

  • very dangerous・・・

  • nice!!

     thanks!!

  • superbe, bravo !

  • no newaza ippons? :(

  • The music name?

  • the background music sucks

  • This sport requires all practicians have to use thier body and brain , not only depends really much on natural body or muscle mass like other martial art like Kick boxing or muay thai, I love this sport bCuz I'm a realy short guy

  • @connhilun it seems u are short in the brain dept also, with a comment like that

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!kkk

  • Great Uchi Mata at 0:18

  • I thought that double leg take downs weren't allowed in Judo??

  • @19thaman79 since 2010 they are not allowed, but this vid is older.

by the way, it is a stupid rule and i hope, double legs will be allowed again in the near future

  • @andrempunkt Thank you.

  • why do people always mention brazilian jujitsu when brazilians only comercialized a japanese art form which is far better. and stop compairing to judo or any other martial art, cause you will never know which arts are better just cause someone beats a fighter with wing chun or any other thing doesnt mean thats the best martial art. its all down to the fighters desicions.

if you really want to be the best then learn ,tai chi, muay thai, judo, bjj ,jeet kune do,taekwondo, sanda, karate, muay boran

  • @djsubliminalreeve Dude if the best karate master fights the best bjj master the winner is using the best MA. its a fact

  • @djsubliminalreeve You are seriously mistaken. BJJ is NOT a Japanese art form. While Bjj did stem from Judo,it is entirely Brasilian. It can be argued that the Asians commercialized a Greek art form as it thought that the first martial arts were derived from the acient Greeks dating back more then 3000 years.

  • @19thaman79 Actually, the Gracie family, who developed BJJ, don't claim to have invented a martial art. They acknowledge that Helio Gracie only adapted the Jiu Jitsu his brother Carlos learned from the Japanese, to be less dependent on physical strength.

  • @ErlendDL Or the Judo he learned, rather.

  • there are at least 3 cases in wich there is wazaari and not ippon!!!!! lol

  • @MAX88587

    fuck you and Romania

  • @MAX88587 fuck romania

  • Very nice video!

    What's this music name?

  • This is just poor man's BJJ.

  • beutiful yama arashi by inoue

  • i herd u can't do double or single legs any more is this true? i do both bjj and judo both r awsome

  • @krysistheabyss

But I hate how some refs call a leg grab when there is none. I have to do my dummy ippon to ko-uchi or just ippon grip to begin with instead of putting my hand near (as opposed to grabbing) the leg.

  • i am a taekwon-do instructor, but judo and jiujitsu are just beutifull, y estudy by videos and such, im a great fan!

  • The judo rules do allow leg grab techniques as counters and combinations where the first technique isn't a leg grab!

One reason is because of so many bjjers fighting in judo but not learning it, trying to prove bjjs better by tackling to newaza, spoiling. Consistant bent stance, etc.

Judo was suffering because traditional upright stance allows breakbalance judo to happen, in preference to wrestling in a gi!

  • @chchjudoschool

My sensei said it was because of Georgian fighters :). Same basic principle :P.

    BJJ is worse :S....

  • @chchjudoschool The rules should not have to bend to stop a fighter. Remember that one Mongolian judoka? His entire career was Morote Gari. That's worthless now.

If your technique is so good, then simply stop your opponent. And I say that as someone who loves judo but despises the endless rule changes which have dumbed it down.

  • @Dynaman21

    agree

  • the music is great but doesnt really fit the vid :p

  • The brazilliam jodo is the best of the best!

  • @PankrationWarrior this is why i do both judo and bjj best of both worlds no holds barred style of bjj and traditional style of judo even bjj is starting to become the same

  • no legs graping anymore, new rules

  • the best the best judo i love u!!!

  • i practice shotokan karate for almost 20 years... judo and all japanese arts have so many things in common...i really love judo , maximum respect to judoka's... great !!!!

  • me have lil' secret me LOVE JUDO !!!! :X

  • haha 4:54 what is she holding onto??

  • I am a Tae Kwon Do Practioner and I learned how to use my hands as well as my feet, but some of the new practioners I see coming thru now all got happy feet and always with mulitple kicks no good use of the hands and what the heck is a 540 or a 720 spin have to do with making a tecnique really stick. It makes me sick to see the beauty taken out of the art.

  • @SECMusic this is judo... nothing to do with tkd...

  • I know this is Judo, I was simply making a comment on another instance from what romkiz86 had said about some of the rule changes he has experienced in Judo.

  • Did not mean to offend you if I did I am sorry

  • Judo and Jiu jitsu are so much more useful than Tae Kwon Do, no offense. Tae Kwon Do is flashy and fun to watch, but really not that useful if someone is gonna take you down and submit you anyways

  • @TheRealHero1

depends on the fighter, not the style

i've seen many tkd fighters in mma rings and k1 rings, most of m won

but they trained differently, none of that flashy stuff, still high kicks but only effective kicks

  • @TheRealHero1 their is not such a thing, as best art, or the more useful art.

  • @TheRealHero1 its the fighter not the style

  • @TheRealHero1 sorry wrestling is where its at

  • @TheRealHero1 depends on the teacher. really depends on the teacher

  • @TheRealHero1 I agree 100%!! I started out with Judo and then moved on to some Jiu Jitsu and now do both. They are amazing! In my opinion they are the 2 most useful martial arts for any other sport (e.g. Highschool wrestling, MMA, Rugby, Football etc...)

  • @TheRealHero1 Well i do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and i see where you're coming from, but Tae Kwon Do practitioners have amazing kicks, It's hard to get someone to the ground when they are barraging the hell out of you with kicks.

  • @TheRealHero1

Every art has its usefullness at certain moments. I use cross training in "traditional arts", because budoka of old didn't worry about separate styles on the battle field. I've been a bouncer and worked in Law Enforcement, when its time to strike Boxing, kickboxing and the like and when a sweep or throw will put the bad guy down Judo and Japanese JJ never fail me.

  • @bearpath100 Muay tai, ninjutsu or kubg fu would probably work better but it takes a shitload of dedication

  • @kiff123456 comparing muay thai to judo is a touchy subject. It comes down to whether you want to grapple or strike. As a practitioner of both, they both would work in a real self defense situation even though if i had to choose judo personally. As for ninjiustu and kung fu, both have become more of a display of fancy moves more than anything over the past few years outside of asia. Its hard to find a place to practice "real" kung fu or ninjiutsu in most places.

  • @kiff123456 It just depends on the situation. Each art has its merits. It's why we cross train.

  • @bearpath100

Looks like your "complete". Now time to cover the weapons part! haha

  • Hey don't let the rule changes and regs stop you from being the best judoka you want to be. I say take the good with the bad and adapt with it at the same time keep your traditional roots and build on to them.

  • @SECMusic

Traditional judoka can't compete with these new rules. If my reflex is to defend against an uchimata by grabbing their leg, well, I run a chance of being HSM by a ref.

Too many restrictive rules are choking our sport! We can't even practice proper newaza! Whats the point when Ive been Mate'd after side controlling someone?

Please tell me Sambo will become more popular! For me, its either that, or Judo loosens up... Alot of younger judoka feel the same way!

  • @lamesurfer101 you should be fine grabbing tyhe leg to defend against uchimata cos it prety easy for the ref to see that youre countering. you can still leg grab as soon as they cross grip you aswell which is fun. why did you get matte when in side control? if youre in side control it should count as a hold down as long as your legs are tangled in the opponents.

  • @tyebo87

Bad Ref call that he couldn't take back. I got him in side control, but he managed to shrimp and put a knee under my stomach. I managed to come around to his back and rather than take it, i started to put pressure on him by pulling a juji attempt. I got a knee on his stomach, and was clearly pinning him ( knee on belly... isnt a pin in judo for some reason). My coach yelled for me to go into kesa gatame to buy time. The second I got into kesagatame, the ref called mate. Dont know why.

  • i was stoped doing judo for 4-5 years and then i come back, there is so many changes ...

  • what can i say.., CRAP i can't do my favourite throws, it's not allowed any more..

  • @romkiz86 you have the same problem?! okay. i`m not agreeing with the new regulars. it`s destroying the old judo. making this sport stupid, `cause more people can understand it is not the right way, what do you think?

  • @BROrakel so good , day, i agreee , that the new regulars are really stupid , so manny people leave from this sport :( and thats really bad) (excuse me for my english ) :D

  • i left judo because of this rubbish thts three years of judo now nothin. i said 'right im not taking this shit anymore' and walked out

  • georgians are best!!! tsirekidze zviadauri kedelashvili and so and so

  • Europe have good fighters as well, Japanese making silly rules for judo... Im talking about new rules with leg graps ...

  • @romkiz86 inorite. the japanese are trying to phase out freestyle wrestling from judo, because too many japanese judokas lose to what they consider "lucky" moves.

  • really sucks.. last competition a mate got Hansokumake:)

  • @royalts361

Tell me about it. I was bad enough that we can't use "unorthodox grips and have shitty groundwork." Sometimes we do Sambo day, were a couple of our Eastern European Shodans randori using sambo rules.

Can't hold a candle to those guys. Too many damn rules!

  • nice soundtrack & action thkx 4 posting ..!

  • judo balance on flat feet.. such balance.. feet and shoulders?

  • no...the russians are defintitely the best in judo

  • @MrBuddy92

Thats because they cross train in Sambo. The people downpointing you are probably Japanese. :)

  • Japan is the Best in Judo .. No Way to defeat them

  • Great video, Great music too. I'm pleased it's not nu metal

  • muito bom sò ippon lindo !

  • wow nice vid

judo is the best sport ever!!!!!!

  • @toxicskater333 WE KNOW but thanks for telling everyone else

  • @toxicskater333 sure!!!

  • me gusta pila ese video att gomera

  • What's that awesome music?

  • el mejor de la historia KOGA!

  • tecnicamente impecables, autentico ju do.

  • Nice.

  • The strongest judo athlete in the 90's is Ogawa.

  • No way. Haven't you seen Yasuhiro Yamashita. Fucking 200Wins in a row. He is a National Idol in Japan. He is the best ever since 1977 to 1985. Check it out

  • It is a topic in the 80's.

  • I wish the music was better & not so repetitive :)

  • Comment removed

  • this is an awesome video!!!!!!!!

  • I love Judo

it's a great sport; but judo is also very effective on the ground not only in stanading position

  • I train in brazilian jiu jitsu, and I'll admit, most of my stand up is all judo. I'd never be dumb enough to stand to a judoka. i'd automatically go to my knees and start grappling. that's way better than getting the shit slammed outta me.

  • judo is a beautiful art, nice to be able to toss someone like that

  • I totally agree zoot!!

  • "Judo is being claimed that it is the ultimate fighting art in a street fight. I disagree. Judo is nothing but a penalty show." you're right, there is no ultimate streetfighting Art but don't be disrespectful. Judo is descended from ancient Japanese Butjutsu, crafted on the Battlefield for a 1000 years. Don't go calling it a penalty show, you'll disrespect everyone who puts their heart and soul into it.

besides, judoka do know how to throw punches, and very fast ones at that..

  • These are the facts as I know them: Judo is a sport developed by Jigoro Kano who originally practiced Jujitsu. Jujitsu is the parent art of the three specific disciplines of Karate, Judo, and Aikido. This business of the ultimate street fighting art has been going on and will go on forever. In many ways, it is the martial artist, not the art that is effective in self-defense. Judo, if it is taught a certain way could be a complete system of self-defense. In the end, it is all Jujitsu.

  • I dont know how karate comes from jujitsu its totally anti the principle

  • Gripping is similar to push hands and boxing. hence the quick hands. a judoka learns to react quickly when a person tries to grab/punch him.

  • tell that to the Gracie Family...

  • what name this song ??

  • 3:22 yoshihiro akiyama !

  • Im practicing it and it rox :)

  • Fedor Emelianenko is judoka ;) that tells you all!!

    Judo rules!

  • Not sure what type of judo you're talking about, but judo encompasses ground fighting as well. In the classes I take, we spend half the time on ground combat.

  • People who say that ANY martial art is the ultimate street fighting system are idiots, there is no such thing. There are WAY to many variables in a real fight to make such a claim about any martial art. But all I can say is that in a self defense situation most people are wearing clothes, and clinch ups happen all the time. A good Judoka can execute a throw just a fast as someone can punch, and if the person isnt knocked out from o soto gar/uchi mata, you can take care of them on the ground.

  • "Ok a judoka can throw someone who doesnt train. But try it on a mma fighter. "

Happens all the time in mma idiot.

  • are you trying too tell me that you'll be able too continue a fight, afther bieng slammed into concrete from aprox almost 2 meters high straight onto your back?

i'm sorry friend but here's a piece of reality, you won't regardless if your a good judoka or not, you can't break your fall on concrete like you can on a tatami.

  • Even a solid ippon on a soft mat is hard to recover from. It knocks the wind out of you. On a hard floor or concrete, forget about it. Plus, even if you're tough enough to somehow be fully functional, the guy who just threw you is in a perfect position to execute a ground hold.

  • This is one of the first compilation videos without shitty nu-metal. Congrats, I like.

  • It is a wonderful thing that Judo is no street fighting form. We are able to play with people we care about. We go hard, have no doubt about that.....just watch what is happening on the screen.

No one should ever want to become an effective street fighter. If you are an effective street fighter, you have harmed people. There is nothing but shame in harming those who do not deserve to be harmed.

That said, if I have to defend myself, I will trust my Judo.

  • @johnthejudoka

I couldn't agree more, effective streetfighters are people who take joy in harming others and I practice judo precisely because its no streetfighting form.

The rougher it gets in the dojo, under dojo rule, the calmer you get in avoiding shameful streetfights.

It's a japanese Bujutsu like Kenjutsu, Aikido, Jukempo, Jujutsu and Karate, and a very powerful one too..

But there are still those who can't appreciate the simple beauty of a judo throw and the heritage behind it.

  • ditto. LOL that's exactly what i think. But I got into a fight the other day cause this guy was pushing me around and I flipped him on his ass. : ) didn't even see it coming. he stays away from me now.

  • Judo has two sides to it, don't undersestimate it.

of course there is the sportive competition, but it's more like sparring with a fellow brother of the same art. then there are the chokes, armlocks, throws that will crush the bones of your oponent if performed on hard ground and hitting techniques (atemi waza) that are taught in katas. if those techniques were applied in a street fight without rules they could precisely kill the oponent. judo is a deadly martial art performed out of the dojo

  • Do you actually have any idea what Judo is about? Do you critizise soccer for not being a sport where you may punsh someone in the face and the winning team is not the one with the last man standing? Of course not. Judo is competition and not street fighting.

  • As true as that is, remember judo is a sport with it's own rules and regulations not necessarily designed for street fighting.

  • Dude, judo also has submissins, also, if you were to performe a throw on the street to someone who doesn´t know how to do an ukemi(fall) the outcome would be very different.

  • great video i like all techniks especially haraigoshi and the ushimata

  • 4:10 was just a beautiful, beautiful harai.

  • min 7:00 WOW!!!!

  • He was very lucky on this throw, if the man just stop his attack he wouldn't have been on the head like that ^^

  • Nice counter at 1:30

  • take a shot aka tackle aka spear w.e u wana call it is not allowed anymore

  • It is allowed but not a direct attack. It is legal if you use it as part of a combination attack your just not allowed to initiate an attack with morote gari (spear tackle).

  • I'm pretty sure you can still do morote gari/double leg takedowns, but it has to be one continuous attack, i.e. you can't grab his pants/legs and start to drive, but a clean shot is still allowed. I could be wrong, but that's how they've been playing it at my dojo since the rules change.

  • useless, since blue scored ippon

  • /watch?v=Y-xcegepW-w

    Please watch! and comment!

  • judo kvelaze magari spirtia!!!
