All the electronic sounds, the poetic lyrics, the extended bridges and intros--Infected Mushroom has never been one of my favorites, but this mix is good, Morrison would've dug it, and everyone loves to swing.

Just like Hendrix, Clapton, Manfred Mann, Ram Jam, The Black Crowes, Aerosmith, and many others covered older material to give it their own personal twist and to try and advertise their influences, many electronic musicians do the same through remixing and sampling, and this is obviously an example of that.

Those artists you list ~covered~ songs as you say, they never remixed someones music which is exactly what Infected Mushroom did here. Covering a song involves you recreating the song in it's entirety which involves creative intuition and talent and yet doesn't take away from the original songs value and authenticity.
