I love the idea of a man dying for my, and all of our sins. Especially with intentions so genuinely good and pure. While I was at a private school i was asked to do a research paper on Creation vs. Evolution, I started to question my beliefs after that. I hate Christians who just scare people when they don't explain the context around it and I'm not gay my sister is and so is my mom and my family is all Christian my dad's side Catholic. In Deuteronomy there is a verse that says that whether you are gay, leper, murderer, God will love and accept you as long as you believe and follow Him.

Yes he is still living in sin, but everyone lives in sin everyday and they are saved. Yes i believe homosexuality and obviously murder are wrong, but so is lying and cheating and stealing and such. you can be saved no matter what your sin is and God will love you no matter what.

Then God got my attention in a huge way, and I was encouraged to dig deep to find the truth. After hundreds of hours of research I came to the conclusion that it would take more faith to deny God than to accept him. I feel for you, because for half of my life I used to be you. While I was at a private school i was asked to do a research paper on Creation vs. Evolution, I started to question my beliefs after that. A year later after completely reading the Bible and many other works supporting it, I found that it was very illogical to believe in a "god" who disproves itself in its own book.

@TheAntiBella Christianity is not deceitful, The Bible is historically correct in everyway, there is also analytical proof that the Bible is true, unlike a few religions which are not, but some religious figures (e.g. muhammad) was a real person and a prophet but thats all he was just a teacher, Jesus on the other hand is God in the flesh, he claimed it and proved it via the ressurection which was witnessed by 500 eye-witnesses, no other religious leaders claim to be anything more than they are

I don't try to convince my friends that God isn't real, unless they want to have such discussions, in which case, I also let them try to convince me that their religion is true.

@SJGster If you had a dear friend that lived a bad life being involved in drugs, crime and throwing his life away, would you not stop at nothing to get him out of that life? Yea you can live a good life, have respect for other, be charitable, help the homeless etc But if you don't live with Jesus in your heart and not fear God, then in the eyes of God you in the same situation as the drug addict, as the criminal, as the alcoholic and I have to do the same thing you would do for that friend.

The Bible never says nething about asking Jesus n2 your heart. It says over n over, "BELIEVE in your heart and CONFESS with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and you WILL be saved!" Everybody that did not ACCEPT Jesus Christ in their life will be pleading for Him to let them n, we claim that it's easy to get saved, and then we lead non-BELIEVERS in a non-biblical prayer, how is that easier than just confessing? Preach Lecrae...! If I hear that question again, "If God is real, then why is the world so evil", I will fall out:-) For me, there is only one way to answer that question when a non-believer asks. Evil in the world is activated by Satan and followed through by man who is without Christ in his life. God never meant for the world to be this way. Think about how the world was IN THE BEGINNING (read the book of Genesis) to learn God's original design for the world. Christ paved the way back to God!

@arsamosa Yes, in the beginning the Word was with God; however, I'm sure that God, when he created the universe, did not mean for the world to fall into sin! Thank God, He is omniscient and already had a plan of redemption set aside to bring humanity back unto Him through Jesus Christ. This understanding of God and creation is followed through Genesis to Revelation- not one or two scriptures! I still believe God never meant for His creation to be as it is today.

If you feel like "Christianity" has messed up society take it to Congress stop going around forums stirring up fights. By any "faith" that's just lame. Christianity obviously angered you in some way and I'm sorry to hear that and I hope you see the actual love behind it. But if you are adamant in believing it is all a lie then go your own way. No one will stop you but it really is sad to try and cast doubt on what others believe just because you fell out of belief.

The point of my "stirring up fights" is simply to get people to think. That's all I want. And there are many Christians with plenty of love in them. I have nothing against Christians. The reason I reject the bible isn't because it "goes against human nature," but because it is full of horror and illogical claims. if man had a fully developed brain how can he be like the mentally challenged? they had no concept of good and evil on their own, only God did. God gave them the knowledge of one thing, and that is that eating of the tree was bad bcuz it causes death. they had no full knowledge of good and evil thats why they werent ashamed of their nakedness, cuz God didnt impart that knowledge to them but He did tell them and warned them that eating of the fruit will kill them (if not then, later on).

I find it ironic that I know more about your own holy book than you do. Course, the thing is, I used to believe the bible--it was reading it straight through that opened my eyes to the fact that it is not a credible text and that it is often very, very wrong.
