I love it! Makes me want to regrow my thick hair. I keep cutting it now since I got tired of it being so thick and even with it grown almost to my butt I could never do anything with it.
uhm, Yeah perhaps letting it grow again would be fun.
I was thinking maybe you could divide up each pigtail into two at the nape of your neck, for a total of four littler braids. Then, "lace up" with two of them, wrapping the other ones around the whole thing. That way the lacing might look more delicate. I tried this hairstyle today, and you're right! It's very pretty and comfortable.
hi i've got quite big problem, i am currently growing my hair. but wear glasses and some of my front hair always gets "stuck" in the glasses (where you can "bend" them to close, if thats logical...) and then break or get torn thus they are really short and get frizzy and i t looks awefull.. i don't know what to do i tried to pin them away but it won't work.. please heeeeelp! :/
Thanks for taking time to post videos all the time Torrin. You do a great job! I can't wait to try this one on my hair, and I'm gonna try it on a friend too.
4:45 Reminds me of Fiona from Shrek! LOL I guess cause of the ogre ears. I LOVE IT TORRIN!! I want to try this so bad. Ever since I've started watching your vids I've been doing SO much more with my hair braid-wise. And been getting tons of compliments. I looove youuuu!!!
i tried this and it came out cool!! I love your tutorials like no other and i am honored to be a subscriber because you are bad-ass!! Thank you so much and let those other haters hate because there are more of us that are positive!
That looks great after you tighten tose laces. Haha. I've learned a lot watching your videos and am still trying to get a new stand for my mannequin head so I can try a lot of your tutorials. Thanks for sharing this and i'll have to definately check out Loepsie's Page sometime.
I wore this to work today and it has held like a rock all day! REALLY great winter do because it fits under my hood and lies flat, without any jaw clips, etc., getting stuck. I did the tight lacing thing, too,and I think that's part of the reason why it holds so well. I just wish my frizz and static would settle down, but, alas, that is winter in the Midwest.
Aah thanks a lot for doing this! I've had some people comment that they can't do the style because their hair is too thick, I'll have to redirect them to your video =) It looks great on you, I actually tried the tight lacing myself but it didn't really work for me like it does for you.
Little off topic here, Loepsie is indeed pronounced Loopsy but I actually really like the way you pronounce it. And I'm in fact 5'8" so not as petite as you were probably thinking ;) Pixie fits me though, haha xD
@Loepsie Well, I'm still four inches taller, so you're petite to me! I'm glad you don't mind the Pixie moniker - I didn't want to make you mad, but I'm a huge epic fantasy geek and I tend to put people in categories as such. Although, you are my very first pixie! You should feel proud. LOL.
I have finer hair like Loepsie and mine will probably look like hers, which I love as well. But this looks SO GOOD on you!!! You look like a hot viking mama! :D
I think when you had those 2 things sticking up it was so cute haha I laughed out loud ^_^ That was a great idea to tighten them like laces!! Always a smart one, you are!! ;) I love watching your videos!!
Oh and I say pronounce it like you did in the video (Lowepsy)! It sounds cooler than Loopsy :P
@Rebecalupos Thanks for the clarification! I just tried to sound it out as best I could. LOL. It also helps me to always spell it correctly. I shall correct my pronunciation in the future!
I was waiting for your video response to her video because I was too lazy to try it on my hair. It's so long and I didn't want to do all that work for nothing LOL. Thank you!
This looks beautiful!! My cousins wedding is coming up and i have no idea how to do my hair! I will TRY to do this! and hopefully get it done properly!
The tassels sticking up are super cute. I've done this one, and I really like it. Also, maybe I spend too much time in costumes, because when you said you were going to tighten up the laces, my first thought was corset, not sneaker.
I have a few questions if anyone would be nice enough to answer :) 1: does anyone kno if torrin (i guess tats her name?) Lives in the u.s.? 2: how long of hair do u need to do this hair style? 3: what does BSL and the other acronyms torrin uses mean?
@Dolphingirl7787 I live in the US, one of the gals wrote in and can manage the style with Bra strap length hair - and to answer your question about abbreviations - I have a VLOG up on hair terminology under the Vlogs & Whatnot tab on my channel page.
I'm pretty sure it was one of Loepsie's videos that lead me to you actually. I totally agree, she just seems to have a knack showing stuff and making it easy to understand. Your hair looks amazing, and up with only two bobby pins! Amazing :D
I wore this today (I actually did it last night and slept on it)! Its super comfy because its flat, so that I can use headrests! Mine doesn't look as intricate as loepsies either, because my hair is a bit thicker. I'll go grab the cam and post pics on lhc...
I love it ! I love Loepsie's and your videos so it's super fun when you do video responses and stuff like that. Kinda like you and Siobhan have done. And ofcourse I love her too !
That looks amazing, Torrin! I'm also quite thick-haired, although not as thickhaired as you, and I hae way less lenght than you, but that's something to live up to and motivate me to get longer hair so I can do all those fabulous hairdos :D
I made a braid a while back- I think I called the Pretzel Braid or Heart Braid or something like that. I wonder how it would look in your hair. It is super comfy and I wear it for days. It also is the only thing that works when I have to put my hair in a wig
@lerchskat I have had that hairstyle of yours on my to-do list for flipping ages - what? almost a year now? I think I'll do it tonight, just to see how it turns out. I swear I am so add when it comes to my hair sometimes.
@scentedhoneysuckle Yup, it holds GENTLY all day, which is an accomplishment in and of itself. It's fairly flat as well, so it should be a good one for under your surgery hat!
@torrinpaige awesome! Yeah, I HATE when the surgery hat gets weirdly shaped for the huge bun underneath :-/ now i just have to get brave enough to actually learn how to dutch braid and then it's done!!! :) yeeee!!! thank you Torrin and thanks Loepsie who invented it :))

You can actually achieve this with hair between APL and BSL although I can only do two instead of three.

It remembers me a bit of the amish bun. Just that you have two dutch braids here instead of the english braids, braided together.
Also this is more oval, the amish is more round. Still a lovely hairstyle!
I saw it on leopsie one or two days ago and probably gonna try it today. Have to hide my greasy hair.
