  • Lenge leve Norge og Nordmenn! ! ! !

  • whats the song?

  • That guy on 1,00, is that a norwegian woodcat..?

  • @alarik36 LOL! (✿◠‿◠)

  • @WhiteLotus68 Doi´n my best.. =.-)

  • To come to Norway the stone-age people from continent had to wander through Sweden during many generations.

  • not an easy typeface to read, but thanks for the vid

  • goodness...who's the handsome smitty? ((swoons)) :-)

  • @green5562 1400's you say ?? sound to me that they fled from the mass deaths in Norway at that time. you know like The Black Death, The Kalmar Union, povorty, wars etc

  • The original people of Scandinavia were the Sami, a Finno-Ugric people, who are genetically somehow (genetically) related to Basques and North African Berbers, while in fact they look like a mix between Europeans and Eskimos.

    Weird.

  • @MiracleKD18 They were most likely genetically related to the Basques and north Africans because those areas were subject to frequent raiding. While they didn't colonize those areas, I'm sure you're aware of the "tactics" they used. The Moorish occupation of the European land they conquered produced similar results as well.

  • @joker52mlb

I doubt that the Saami made it as far as Spain and North Africa. Except if...

If North Africans and Basques came from a place which was subject to raids from the North, and the Saami raped some of their ancestors.

  • @MiracleKD18 They collectively did not reach north Africa or Spain. That would be a crazy assumption, one that I've never made. Their intergration into old nordic societies is a complex thing to study, as they are a mysterious people, as well as the lack of proper study and documentation of such things. But basically what I'm trying to say is shit happens and people fuck alot.

  • wait, whaat? we still live like that!

  • But the Scandinavians had no coffee, tea, sugar, fruits, orange, lemon, vitiamin C, natural abundant resources in those times.

By Europe that exchanged with the rest of the world.

And Scandinavia that exchanged with continental Europe bringing new ideas and commercial products to their homeland.

  • I'm so proud to be Norwegian (and Danish, too). I'm so proud my husband is, too. Nobody sexier than Scandanavians !!

  • Germans...

  • If youre asatru and you hate the christian take over of our lands, and youre proud of this video because it shows us asatru as having a history too and not just being a bunch of godless heathens then thumbs up this statement.

  • were there really horses there in the bronze age like video shows?

  • @rbatheNORSEMAN The world looked very differently 2-4 thousand years ago. Germanic and gallic/celtic peoples were widespread over most of northern europe.

  • love the music

  • great movie

  • My ancestors! :)

  • @Gellingsen .... Sorry, no... they are just blond actors who were hired for their long beard and lots of other hairly body parts...ewww!!

  • @astrogenic Well, the story is about my ancestors :p

And some of them kind of look like some of my uncles :p

Don't know about the other hairy bodyparts dude :p

  • Hail Odin!!!

  • Hail Odin! :)

  • scandanavia has the tallest average of the entire world 6'2.

  • do they? I thought it was the dutch?

  • @FullMoonMysticism1 No ,Dinaroid people on Balkan (south serbia, monte negro and east bosnia) is tallest average !!!!

  • @FullMoonMysticism1 Actually it is the dutch. In Norway the average of height is 1.79.9 cm, the height development has stagnated in Norway since the 70's and 80's, mainly because of the high migration percentage.

  • @Gellingsen In Sweden 1.80 and the approximately the same in Denmark. In Holland the average percentage of height is 1.83 cm.

But now that Montenegro has been divided from Serbia, I guess the Montenegro people will be the tallest in Europe, they are approximately 1.90 cm of average height.

  • the beauty of the tree foliage in the summer, should not think that she is something without her roots.

History is important for the development of humanity. Good video

  • great saying. I will pass it on

  • You can even modernize the norweagian letters that exist today

    æ=ae

    ø=oe

    å=aa

However we will never give them up, I can insure you that.

  • that is because english comes from norse(a germanic tribe)

  • Stolt av å være norsk.. lenge leve norge.

  • Your videos are great ygdrasil21 and this one is no exception!

  • Dont feel so inferior.

  • I am facinated by European history! Many yearas before stong man where living on earth, they all where oure grandfothers! They did not live in good conditions, they had no candys ore supermarcets to buy food! The animals where bigger and stronger than and mistical creatures where more alive amonge people because they opened portal in spirit world by faith in them!Today many my friends are to fancy like so gays!Thats shit!Hello from Croatia!

  • People in the past were a bit smaller than today but could survive cold winters much better than the modern pussys of today

  • I agree, but Northman are bigger and stronger than Mediterian people, thats fact, so maybe the cold winter pushed them to limit's so they must had biger heart to pump more blod because of cold!Bless you;-)!

  • @coolbrian15 The whole "takes less time for blood to circulate, thus loosing less heat in the process" thing. Most people today are huge compared to the 5'4"-5'7" average height of men from ages past.

  • @coolbrian15 not too much smaller

  • @coolbrian15 Yep,people in the past is smaleer but very tough !!!!

  • @coolbrian15 and what was their life expectancy?

  • @coolbrian15 much smaller.actualy all the people in the world was smaller.you can see a big diffrence of a average man in the 1600 and an average man today, even my great grandpa was a head smaller than me,and I am 15

  • @coolbrian15 I thought Vikings were 6'8 or 7'0 feet tall.

  • @norseczar27 well am 6,9 feet tall am norwegian.

  • @coolbrian15 I read somewhere that people such as Vikings from all those years ago were tougher humans. Could survive insane weather and throwing a rock at them would be like slapping them. Meaning of all this is what you said. They could survive much better, than the modern pussies of today.

  • It is in Oslo

  • Awesome video!

    Cheers

  • Did it say "Åsatru" ? Correct me if Im wrong, but isnt it supposed to be Asa?

  • Some say Åsatry, others say Asatru. Åsatrufellesskapet Bifrost uses Åsatru, but I think Asatru is more common

  • In Icelandic, as in old Norse, it is Ásatrú.

    Singular: it goes Ás -Ás-Æsi-Áss

    Plural: Æsir- Æsi- Ásum- Ása.

  • Yeah. But I've never seen it spelled with an "å".

  • You can spell it with Å, that is the modern way, Pagans in Norway today use Å, you can also spell it with Aa which is the same as Å.

  • @ygdrasil21 I have always spelled my name (Haakon) with two A´s. And been proud, thinking that it is the "old" way of my ancestors. Was I wrong??

  • @ygdrasil21 following the swedish model ;) we've had å's since 1500~ when oalus petri made some changes to make us differ more from the other nordics

  • Nice video!
