I am a university prof. and a psychologist, Psychology needs reform, it is nothing but unfounded and unscientific labels. According to the DSM, the psychology bible, everyone is mentally ill.
@davidsonsunn I was wondering the same thing when I studied Abnormal Psych last summer. The course kept referring to the DSM, and I kept finding myself in it here and there. So did everyone else.

The Dark Minds article never once even mentioned 9/11 truthers, nor did it say that conspiracy theorists are mentally ill. All it said was that seeking patterns that may lead you to a conclusion that there is a threat is a result of higher dopamine levels. I believe Alex Jones. I was referring to the garbage he was debunking. As for whether or not there alien is irrelevant. To be honest it wouldnt surprise me. Im an amateur in astronomy. Giving the sheer size of our own galaxy it wouldnt blow me away to find we really were taken over by a so called reptilian race a long time ago. Im not so sure that even they have the technology to span distances between galaxies though. At most it would have to be a solar system or 2 over from ours.

The articles about child kidnapping show up ON HIS SITES in google and although the UN has admitted to some of its workers involved in child trafficking, this doesn't point to a huge conspiracy. It just shows there's dirty people who get into even the best organizations.

The Dark Minds article never once even mentioned 9/11 truthers, nor did it say that conspiracy theorists are mentally ill. All it said was that seeking patterns that may lead you to a conclusion that there is a threat is a result of higher dopamine levels. It also said schizophrenics overproduce dopamine which is why they are the way they are.
I wish more people who comment here had actually read the article...it sounds like Alex Jones just skimmed over it...

But in all seriousness, I read PT on occasion and I've never seen anything close to an "hit piece". In fact, what you describe seems exactly the kind of article in that magazine. I don't understand this whole Alex Jones thing. There is a comment 2 down from this one calling that magazine trash, and i'm sure the person who wrote the comment has never even read one, let alone heard about it before they heard AJ talk about it.

Ok yes, he is a wackjob. I think the fact that he made this very video highlights that fact. But I have read a number of very good articles...recently there was one talking about how as diagnoses increase and conditions we once thought of as lazy & stupid we now know are categorical disorders, the definition of "normal" becomes very vague, and we may realize that we all have some condition, to some extent. I thought it was a very well-thought out piece, but that's just one example.

Yeah I did. I bought it on my lunch break and got through most of the magazine before I had to clock back in. The articles strain to tie themselves to psychology, one was about a man walking across America with no money, just a profile of this guy. The rest was dating tips.
I wanted my five bucks back. Should have bought comics. At least they're mentally stimulating.
What's your beef anyway? Are you an avid Psychology Today subscriber... writer... publisher?

I am a psychologist. So I can speak with some authority. The information presented by Alex has real value. Attacks on his personal qualities and problems are unethical and essentially are just dirty tricks. This article has been forecasted along time ago but still its very dangerous. Repressive psychiatry is very disturbing sign of tyranny.

What i find offensive is that as someone who has been bulled and did not have that many pals, at school who stayed loyal to me, the psychologist claims that would make my view irrelevant this psychologist seems like a nasty shithead. Who thinks the bullies are the voice of common sense and bullied people are always wrong. I bet the psychologist tolerates rape and child abuse.
