Ask a Republican why they love Reagan, they will answer something to the effect of "small government, lower taxes, family values, strong economy". If we ignore the USSR vs USA and just do it as capitalism vs communism it's a very different story. If we take USSR under Czarist, communist, and capitalist as it is now one can see they did best under communism. If Vladimir Lenin had not died so soon and was able to establish that he did not want Stalin to take over after him, I believe the outcome would be Russia as the superpower. It's called game theory best possible outcome = cooperation.
