The majority of the American Public is stupid. Politicians and media know that. My grandparents have never even heard of ron paul before i told them about him last week. Now they want to know more about him.
First of all, the title of this movie is misleading. Jon Stewart does not "support" Ron Paul. He is merely pointing out the fact that he is ignored by the conservative media. He's ignored by them because he doesn't fit the mold of the current Republican party (that is to support the plutocracy). It's as if a liberal were running for Republican nomination - you could expect they would be ignored by Fox News and the like. That doesn't automatically make him the best candidate.
Stupid Republicans. Yeah..let's support corporatism and unregulation...corporations are the ones that create the jobs right? At least the government does things with good intentions even if they don't always work out. Corporate greed would gladly pay you $3.00 an hour, no benefits, and unlimited working hours. Yet, anytime regulation is proposed Republicans call it communism. Government isn't some monster, it's there to make your lives better and does so everyday.
@Tikiman03 government makes things better what a laugh the government is stealing our productivity and giving it to foreign entitys in the form of the foreign owned federal reserve bank , foreign owned mining groups , chemical companies , waging wars all over the world , sticking there noses in where it does not belong over taxing to pay back interest on loans to foreign banks for printed bits of paper ,,, im guessing you work for the government no free thinking person thinks like you
@351besty You talk as if government is one currupt person out to steal your tax dollars. Give me a break. We still have a democratic government. Get rid of the Federal Reserve? You do realize that the 20th century and this century have been the most productive in human history. And no, I don't work for the government. I'm just a Democrat and there are millions of us. Go ahead, put your trust in unregulated corporations and let them steal your pursuit of happiness.
@Tikiman03 I hear this unregulated corporate myth a lot. People think Ron Paul is like some sort of anarchist, like he's gonna come in and undo all the progress the US has made in the 20th century. Nothing can be further from the truth.
You see a Ron Paul presidency means corporations will finally be held responsible for their actions, no longer protected by the government. The Federal Reserve is only in place to stomp out small business and prop up big business.
i hate straight party tickets, people who vote democrat or republican merely because that's all they know... come on, think for yourself. who do YOU want to lead our country?? examine the person him/herself, regardless of the political party that gives them millions of dollars... how do you want the future of the USA to look?
Your headline states "Jon Stewart Supports Ron Paul". Where do you get that he "Supports" him...he's commenting on the news coverage. That is not an endorsement anymore than this clip is reportage. This is nothing more than a political add (Including a call to action at the end) Jon Stewart no more supports Ron Paul than he does any of the other conservative candidates.
I love Ron Paul.. I love these videos.. but PLEASE people.. we can do without the LOUD dramatic music.. it makes it very hard to listen to. Tone it down so we can hear the message.
maybe i should become a citizen soon and i could vote for him i really think he should win, i hate how the media feeds them masses their version of a twisted reality
RON PAUL CLAP CLAP CLAP!! RON PAUL CLAP CLAP CLAP!! RON PAUL CLAP CLAP CLAP!! RON PAUL CLAP CLAP CLAP!! RON PAUL CLAP CLAP CLAP!! RON PAUL CLAP CLAP CLAP!!
How about Ron Paul as President, Marco Rubio as VP, Judge Napolotano as Attorney General
John Hunstman as Secretary of State, Paul Ryan as Treasury Secretary, Rand Paul as Chief of Staff, Colin Powell as Secretary of Defense. What progress this Country could make with these true leaders in their respective positions
Wait, what?? Ron Paul is a Texas congressman?? Holy shit, I didn't know he was a congressman from my state. Y'all wanna know something interesting about the Texas government? The Governor shares his executive power with a bunch of other elected officials. The Lieutenant Governor is often said to hold more power than the Governor, and is President of the Senate. I thought that was funny when I heard it in my Texas Gov. class.
They don't want him in because when it's time to look for the OIL - he won't be on board to going to steal take it... because it's wrong -- that's not the way it works...
The bottom line is that he is bad for the Jews/Freemasons/Corporate-money-hogs/War-hogs and so on and these are the people that run the country and the media.
@KABcontrols -- I totally agree - - he won't be up to go steal the oil fields.. like they are ... Romney and Newt will though... their good little puppets...
@atrde5448 it's banks, lobbies, criminal organizations and corrupt government agencies which are against him, because their control of the current system would be jeopardized by his request for transparency.
@sbugiardo What transparency? if anything ron paul is eliminating agency's like the fda and bills like the dodd frank act that make banks less transparent and only accountable to people with interest in the company. the only one that makes sense there is criminal organizations because of paul's stance on prostitution and drugs.
@atrde5448 I was talking of transparency about reviewing the Federal Reserve, which is tightly connected with banks, which are tightly connected with any inhuman and barely legal large scale operation on this planet (first and foremost bailouts, military spending, foreign resource plundering and economic dependence)
@sbugiardo I don't think you quite have a grasp on the federal reserve. The government gives bailouts its the fed that prints and sells the money to the gov't which i agree is stupid and needs to be eliminated but the other things are conspiracy theories. The fed sells money to the gov't and gets it back with interest that is it, its stupid but it is how it is done.
@sbugiardo Also ironic you bring up resource plundering since if you look at pauls platform he includes policies on letting corporations drill anywhere, the increased use of coal power, and less restrictions on resource usage in the USA
@atrde5448 "resource plundering" refers to "foreign resource plundering", i.e. bribing the government to invade another country with any excuse, just to feed few military lobbies and set up a local puppet government which will divert local national money into the pockets of the US multinationals. Making FR, banks transparent would break a link of the chain.
People are controlled through ignorance: since people got smarter, stuff was complicated on purpose, but it needn't be so.
Honestly could care less if he wins, he shouldn't be in office ever. Guy believes in social Darwinism, survival of the fittest as a society. He wants corporations to be completely unregulated, no fcc, fda, cdc, anything. He believes that a free market will make people make the right choices but history has proven again and again given the oppurtunity people with power will cheat and crush others to keep and gain more power.
The whole Canada loves Ron Paul ! We know our major medias don't want to talk about him but we are in love with him on internet and in our homes. He is the big winner but we also know US people are kept in ignorance by the major medias. It's a pitty to see it from outside the US country how people in US are'nt free and do not know it.
For over a decade Ron Paul's newsletter published racist, homophobic and anti-Semitic statements. Now Ron swears he didn't know. But he wants to run the whole country. Of course maybe he did know. Either way he's a loser.
Without Ron Paul, this Republican debate will lose ratings! I guarantee it! The only reason lots of people are getting into this debate is because of Ron Paul bringing in younger viewers!
Its becoming apparent that Ron Paul supporters do not want to debate or even discuss the policies and views that make their candidate unelectable in the eyes of the rest of America.
I'm not American and wouldn't vote Republic if I was. But kudos on Jon Stewart and vic3003 for posting. This kind of dirty trick has no place in a democracy!
TELL, Scream, Storm CBS and let them know NOW that you ain't happy with their foul and dishonest discredit to Ron Paul. Which by their actions, they are insulting the USA public. Don't take it any longer, fight the bastards, boycott their sponsors, do whatever you can to show them you, and all of your friends, have had enough! Tell them you are not as dumb as they might think, Jam their phone lines with protests...go Ron Paul for honesty.
I serioulsy doubt this will Help Congressman Paul as most republicans loathe the liberal media, and left wing spin zones. I doubt any real registered republican will take anything Jon Stewart as something for action. Actually I think this will probably hurt him more then help him. But the liberal registered dems, or greens might get a kick out of it
"I do not usually agree" uuhm, in the Netherlands, this is viewed as entertainment. Offcourse he talks about serious subjects, but he wouldn't have a big influence on the public. Its different in Amerika isn't it? People do listen to him
Keep 'em comin'! The media is really starting to panic- John King of CNN recently pulled out the 'ol racist newsletter story. Like it or not, Ron Paul's supporters hold the outcome of the election in their hands!
I've been eliminated the mainstream shows one at a time and sticking to independents. However, I still watch John Stewart and Steven Colbert. It's too bad they're own by Viacom, the worst of the media giants.
It won't be long and I will give up all of it... anytime now. O.o
join the "I challenge the Media" group on facebook. if you are a ron paul fan i suggest you join this facebok group! we are planning great groups to adress this issue
Jon Stewart should be given more credit than reluctant conservatives want to acknowledge. He has different opinions on the role of government than a libertarian clearly. However, he is fair and honest in his interviews and questioning the rhetoric of both parties but mostly republicans as the GOP constantly claims to have the moral and righteous high ground while doing the opposite.
I don't have to google Ron Paul ... I have been following him for quite sometime . I honestly think he needs to run on a separate ticket , The status quo has all but forced us to only have two choices when it comes to parties . He needs to run on a third ticket and give them some damn competition.
we need to spread the word to all the people blinded by the media. Alot of the older generation does not know how to find the truth on the internet therfor they watch the news. We all know the news is bias and opposes ron paul. we need to WAKE up America. its our generations time to shine. they almost censored our internet. what will be next. vote ron paul and help spread the word! repost this message if you car about our children and there children its our only hope!
im tired of explaining this to you narrow minded embeciles
he does not put his personal views ahead of his belief that the constitution is the final word on law.i have no beef with taxes,my problem is with the govt wasting the money they take from the citizens of this country
and i believe that if women were more responsible for their own lives, they would not HAVE children that they need to abort r e s p o n s i b i l i t y
@seraph101 Ron Paul, being a doctor who has delivered over 4000 babies does have an opinion against abortion. But he believes it should be handled by each state, NOT at the federal level.
@Candyliz2003 also...without the epa(an unconstitutional arm of the government consisting of 0 elected persons) passes far far to may ridiculous laws which force not only corporations but people the same to spend an exorbitant amount of money to do just about anything...which in the end hurts us all more than it helps in the first place...not to mention the fed...which has failed to do the only job it was tasked with(another unconstitutional entity btw)
@Candyliz2003 if thats what you believe then your a nutjob...kk...regardless of business practices...any corporation who starts doing business in an unsafe manner would be subject to human rights laws...and the entire reason our school system is so jackt up is because of the forced unionization of teachers along with tenor...when a teacher doesnt need to perform well in order to keep their job then most likely they wont...and thus the students suffer...get gov. out of schools and personal lives
The thing I think about is how he is in favor of states choosing gay rights, instead of simply opposing them well played. I just worry that they won't make the right decision, currently more states allow first cousins to marry than gays. Blecch.
@Boomies559 "In the agreement to rescue Rome [i.e., the Roman Catholic Church's hierarchy] from the predicament of losing its world control to Protestantism, and to preserve the spiritual and temporal supremacy which the popes [had] 'usurped' during the Middle Ages, Rome now 'sold' the [Roman Catholic] Church to the Society of Jesus [i.e., the Jesuits]; in essence the popes surrendered themselves into their hands."
@Boomies559 "Today they [i.e., the Jesuits] are stronger in the United States than they ever were in any of the countries of Europe which expelled them as a menace to the government." (1912)
@MiracleFruitClock acutally obama is broke he made promises he couldnt live up to i used to support obama abd i still do but if he wants to get re- elected he better sart trying to bring us out of the ression by talking to those rich fuckers like trump and gates and al those other ones and he better tell them to help out also he should talk to those " midlle-eastern leaders" who are torturing there people and lastly he should get amrica OUT OF ISREALI CONTROL
@Candyliz2003 Obama is a puppet. He made an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the constitution, yet signed the NDAA and approved the Patriot Act which blatantly undermine our fourth amendment.
@MaverickZG "[Wherever] a totalitarian movement erupts, whether Communist or Nazi [Fascist], a Jesuit can be found in the role of 'adviser' or leader; in Cuba [it was] [Jesuit-trained] Castro's 'Father' Armando Llorente..."
Emanuel M. Josephson (American physician and historian)
@MaverickZG "The Jesuits...are simply the Romish army for the earthly sovereignty of the world in the future, with the Pontiff of Rome for emperor...that's their ideal. ...It is simple lust of power, of filthy earthly gain, of domination -- something like a universal serfdom with them [i.e., the Jesuits] as masters -- that's all they stand for. They don't even believe in God perhaps."
Fyodor Dostoyevsky (1821-1881; famous Russian novelist)
@MaverickZG "Eight years before the attempted [Spanish] Armada invasion [of 1588], Jesuits were seditiously active plotting the overthrow of the English government. By using different disguises, aliases, and secret codes, to illegally slip in and out of England, Jesuit Robert Parson, in 1580, had led and then later organized a mission to bring other Jesuits into England to engage in a work of subversion.

I've been eliminated the mainstream shows one at a time and sticking to independents. However, I still watch John Stewart and Steven Colbert. It's too bad they're own by Viacom, the worst of the media giants.
It won't be long and I will give up all of it... anytime now. O.o

Ron Paul doesn't cut taxes. He kills them with his bare hands.
Ron Paul doesn't go to the gym. He stays fit exercising his civil rights.
Ron Paul's idea of gun control is both hands on the weapon.
Ron Paul gets high on freedom.
Ron Paul can believe it's not butter.
Ron Paul could lead a horse to water AND convince it to drink, but he doesn't believe the government has the right to, so he refuses.

@edslides1 Ron Paul does not "believe" in evolution.
Ron Paul is against abortion and therefore against individual freedom.
If you don't understand what taxes are for, read a book.

@seraph101
im tired of explaining this to you narrow minded embeciles
he does not put his personal views ahead of his belief that the constitution is the final word on law.i have no beef with taxes,my problem is with the govt wasting the money they take from the citizens of this country
and i believe that if women were more responsible for their own lives, they would not HAVE children that they need to abort r e s p o n s i b i l i t y
your grasp of logic is sub-juvenile
edslides1 3 weeks ago
