As a doctor, I always ask my seniors to show me the randomised controlled trial or systematic review that shows that not wearing a tie/rolling your sleeves up reduces the spread of infection. Granted in patients with gastroenteritis infection control protocols apply. I will stop wearing my tie and 3 piece suit, when other doctors sterilise their stethoscope between seeing patients (that never happens lol)

Having watched a close friend die from a hospital caught infection, I believe ward hygiene is serious matter. I love how people seem to think that this doctor is kicking out Cameron and Clegg. He's actually telling off the cameramen and journalists for nor taking sufficient hygienic steps (namely removing their ties and rolling up their sleeves). Both Cameron and Clegg had rolled their sleeves and taken off their ties, and neither were told to leave.

and by right he should do. I work for the NHS and we have to follow VERY strict infection control and personal hygiene rules. WHY should their little well all i can say is "Arse Kissers" neglect these rules. Now it may be different in a private health organisation mr Cameron but in the NHS we all follow rules for the good of the patients health and treatment.

Having watched a close friend die from a hospital caught infection, I believe ward hygiene is serious matter. I admire the surgeon for putting a stop to what he thought was a lapse in correct procedures. I notice the clip has been edited so we don’t hear all of what was said. I’ve just read that the surgeon has been asked to stay at home on full pay while people are waiting for surgery. I see the PM was listening all the way to the bank again.

Why stage a photo op for angels of death in a hospital room when it can be set up so easily at a local soap opera TV studio with actors, like they usually do? It's beyond comprehension what was on the minds of these people and that they did not go through all the red tape to have access to a hospital room. In a hospital, the doctors orders are above all heads of state. Everyone who had no business in that room should have been thrown in jail for more reasons than can be listed here.
