@Dricko8 you're entitled to your opinion but boxing struggles because the heavyweight division has sucked for about a decade now and people generally couldn't care less about any other division.The exception being this last welterweight "superfight" between Mayweather and Pacquiao.
After that fight , no matter who wins, boxing will almost certainly become close to being completely irrelevant until a spark in the HW division if that should ever happen. MMA would probably take over until then

The Heavyweight division has always drawn the most attention and if the heavyweight division is lackluster then boxing as a whole loses interests with the casual fans. @TheFuture027 Boxing's not irrelevant though. The only thing boxing needs is to have less sanctioning bodies (maybe just 1) and more guys at the top fighting each other. That's the only advantage MMA has over boxing. The casual fan will pay $75 to watch Mayweather v Pacquiao still. I'm not sure the casual fan will pay to watch Velazquez v Lesnar II for the same price.
@Dricko8 I would agree with that but boxing's still at a disadvantage. Even when boxing is booming there are usually around 3 or 4 cards a year that are worth paying for. UFC ,on the other hand, holds a card about every month and a half. With about 7 or 8 televised fights which are contested with 4 ounce gloves it up the excitement factor.
@TheFuture027 Last weekend had 2 great fights and they were on regular HBO and Showtime. I don't think 95% of fans care about the glove size. At the end of the day all these fighters both boxing and MMA do it for cash. The money still follows boxing.

Mayweather did not win this fight, but that is boxing. I can say that De La Hoya didn't defeat Quartey nor Pernel Whittiker. The judges have made some bad decisions throughout the years.

If Mosley comes out like this on May 1, mayweather wont win. THIS is why they have to show the judges cards after the 4th round now. to keep them honest.

This why i dont really comment on here. I gave Mayweather the fight but it was close enough that it could have gone either way. For me mayweather won the first 5 rounds no questions asked. Landed clean punches and made castillo miss in the first five rounds. All the haters its kind of funny grow up kids. U guys need to go out and play some sports or something.
