when ur camping, do you just fly where u said u camped, or do you go up to the mountain spot where its supposed to spawn? also, do you fly around the other spawn points once in a while, or do you just stay at one

@drewskies612 I hover on a spot showed on 8:05. That place offers good detection coverage of canyon ahead and mountain behind on right. I looked down and then to the left (towards mount where harpy elite is) while recording to show you exact coords and height on which i camped. Being higher gives you better view on other ppl while being hidden. I stay put as long as im not alone in SP, once i am alone i'll do a round around frosthold mountain now and then every 30m-1h (as seen on shammy kill).

@CreateMW2 Yes you can say TLPD is rare version of Vyragosa, every time she is about to spawn theres a small chance TLPD will spawn instead of her. If you keep bumping into Vyra, alive or dead you are on right track to getting TLPD eventually. Good luck.

@TheDutchMusician It's really hard to say. Remember that any mob 4 levels higher than you will be a skull - that means will resist 3/4 of your spells and probably will kill you fast. What i would advise is to find lev 80 mob with around 20k hp and try to kill it. But to be on safe side level to 77 so it will be red - very hard. You dont want to spend time looking for it just to get owned by it when you eventually find it and see someone fly away on it as you ghost run back. Good Luck.

Do u set any special settings on the NPCSCAN? Or do i just leave it and it will alert when a rare mob is in range?

@themageduck Every Mob in wow has unique id, number that NPC scan looks for in cache to judge if that particular mob appeared in your detection range. NPCScan has TLPD id already configured you can check it in NPCScan's addon options, once it gets in your cache addon wont be able to alert you again as it activates only at the moment when that id appears in cache. If in any doubts better check NPCScan website for clearer description.

Ysera @ 3:17 am server time one the first day of camping in the EXACT spot you showed on the vid. I'm a hordie, I aggroed him, flew straight to the ground and before I could get through the second spell in my rotation there where 3 guys from the alliance side on top of the drake, I had a better spot and was able to establish aggro quicker. Thank you for a very informative and clear guide to getting this mount... And now to camp on Aeonaxx =P

@vendettaa77 You are wrong, Target can be tagged by dealing damage to it, body pulling aka proximity aggroing something isnt tagging, if he would tag it, it would turn grey on my screen. He had his chance and missed it trying to kite it to the ground instead of poping levi and hitting it. You sir need to take a deep breath and chill its just a game :)

exact same thing happened to me last friday..saw it alive, heart went mad..thought YES ! then a goblin DK had already tagged it..I wanted to kill him but it I'm on PVE server so I just sat there in silence for 20 mins slowly cooking..:P

@ilovemultipacks Haven't camped him lately, been some tough competiton since cata release for TLPD, people camping some days straight and are dead serious to find him. So I might when I will have time and camp him when I'd be the only one around. I saw some video a month ago that covered everything you need to know about TLPD, all his spawn points and best camping spots and I cant seem to find it again. Kinda need the ultimate strategy so I might save some time camping. :P

@firemelaser Durning weeks of hunting it never spawned for me after server restart. Timer is so long that even if it resets after server resets it still may take a long time untill something spawns... No fast and easy way to get this one.

@saberman41 In Wow video settings->resolution on right hand side tick "Windowed mode" and your wow will be a window you can scale and move around your desktop. Make sure to tick in Sound&Voice bit that says "Sound in background" so you can hear wow sounds ( that important addon alarm) even when tabed out or wow not being your active window at the moment.

good guide mate , the strange thing is after you get you first TLPD , after some rest i mean you will want to find another one , well that was what exactly happend in my case , its like addiction , camping and waiting endless hours to see and kill one specific mob , and this feeling , haha. Im sound like a crazy person. :D
