  • this is the only video thats evem close to what im looking for. thanks G. what r thies guys names? im trying to find the whole video, u know zod, and the part where she talks shit to them to get them to agree? i can never find the whole clip but honestly i dont even know those first ones names. but there avatar reminds me of that song "house of stone and light"

  • @TheEmperorbajara "Walkers of Sigma 957" is the only name attributed to them.

  • The Walkers of S-957 must have scanned the White Star. They would know that it had elements of Vorlon technology in it. They've known the Vorlons for a very long time.

  • How true

  • It was such a waste got rid of Marcus.

  • "The Great Machine" makes me think of the Krell Machine in the movie "Forbidden Planet" I wouldn't be surprised if that's where JMS got the idea.

  • @sunnchilde It's a direct reference, pretty openly acknowledged as such. I think there are actually camera angles and bits of architecture identical with Forbidden Planet.

  • 0:43 Limeys and frogs have allways dissed eachother in this way or similar believe me the french can tell some really hillarious jokes about british "quisine"(only english that is)!

  • What it actaully says is "the Vorlons can kiss my arse" and thats fact.

  • @newhoped I bet what it actually is saying is "Those bastards owe me money!"

  • @Raguleader No officially thats what the walkers said "Vorlon tavutna chog"= " Vorlons can kiss my arse".

  • @newhoped Hey do you know who build the Great Machine? I have always assumed it was built by the Vorlons.

  • @AllTheseWorldsAreUrs I haven't seen that episode in a while, but did they give a reason that Varn's (the custodian before Draal took over) race could not have been the original builders? I don't remember if he said anything about their people just discovering the machine, but unless something like that happened, I would be inclined to believe it was his people.

  • @AllTheseWorldsAreUrs - My theory is that it was built by Lorien's people (whatever they are called).

Or perhaps it was race that was never seen anywhere in the series. This is one of the things that will remain a mystery...

  • @AlexeiVoronin @suchiuomizu Interesting ideas guys. I never even considered the option that Varn's people were responsible and I'm not sure why. As for Lorien, I don't know, but I think Loriens people are too old maybe.

After watching the series again. I'm going to stick with my idea that it's a Vorlon creation, purely because two Vorlons were on the B4 when it arrived in the past.

  • @AllTheseWorldsAreUrs The problem with that is Sinclair arrived with the two Vorlons to assist him when Sinclair arrived as Valen. If the great machine was Vorlon, we'd have been told. It's meant to be a mystery to show that not everything can be explained.

  • @LakeofGlass I know. And I know :)

Actually I don't think Vorlons were ever humanoid anyway, so I'm sure I'm wrong.

  • @AllTheseWorldsAreUrs Nah, they only appeared as humanoid to the younger races because they used a telepathic projection. Both the Shadows and Vorlons seemed to be similar. If you pause and stare closely, Vorlons almost seem like a light being shaped like a jellyfish. They were tangible but looked ethereal. Shadows were like an opposite, having a spider form. They always seemed like a Yin-Yang pair. The ships from both even reflected their forms also.

  • @AllTheseWorldsAreUrs - The Vorlons existed millions of years before proto - humans existed. Wouldn't it be weird if the Vorlons or other First Ones were Battlestar Galactica's " Lords of Kobol " in the RDM version, or maybe had some connection to the Ancients / Ascended in the universe of Stargate SG1 or SG : Atlantis ? Maybe a fanfic writer could make something out of this in a cross - over. ;)

  • @knoxvilleguy2 what about Q?

  • @TheEmperorbajara - Or the Founders in ST: TNG, Original Star Trek's Organians, etc. Actually JMS got the idea from an ancient species invented by the writer H.P. Lovecraft, who was primarily a writer of Gothic Horror stories. I think they were part of

" The Dunwich Horror ", " The Colour Out of Space ", & such.

  • @knoxvilleguy2 which species?...the Yithians?

  • @twilightzoneseinfeld - That may have been them. I haven't been able to locate my H.P. Lovecraft selections in quite a while.

  • @AllTheseWorldsAreUrs Considering we were shown humans will evolve or otherwise be changed into something 'Vorlon-like' in a million years, and that Lyta also commented that that was when we would be ready to enter Vorlon Space, it seems likely they also evolved from something else into their current state. Maybe they were never humanoid, but they may have started out as something else.

  • @suchiuomizu Remember, Vorlons were manipulating our DNA for a million years, so we may have been lead to a path to evolve into something vorlon like where we might not have had we been left alone.

  • what episode is this?

  • Marcus made my life complete <3

"You can get more with a kind word and a 2 by 4 than you can with just a kind word."

    FAVORITE. QUOTE. EVER.

  • I wonder what that was translated to in the French version of B5?

  • @nitehawk86 "who knew they where brits' most likely.

  • @SCARREDMIND No if they were British they wouldn't understand Ivanova and would just rwesort to talking loudly and slowly. :)

  • @Wirrn

well, they are half way there.

maybe they're too drunk to separate syllables?

  • its only 5 bucks just pay em allready!

  • quote from Marcus 'Like I said, I don't believe in luck'. (Leans back and knocks panel down with fighting pike. Ivannova gets to work). 'Well on the other hand...'

  • Ah - Vive La France .... circa 1 Million AD.

  • go English ppl!!! lol

Marcus was one of the best people on B5!!!

  • The Vorlons owe them money from that last war over a thousand years ago. Imagine the interest owed as whole...No wonder they are pissed.

  • @smcneal057

    Who knew they were Greek.

  • Marcus is.... whelll Marcus, as always! ;-)

  • Funny as Hell :)

  • oh marcus, how we love you.

  • I still like his comment about the Vorlon God and getting Ivanova a bucket.

  • @gribae he says "I'll put a bucket on my head and pretend to be the ancient Vorlon God Booji!"

Not about a bucket for Ivanova.

  • @TheThotPran : Is that how it's spelled? Because "bougie" in French is a birthday candle which, given the nature of the Vorlons, would actually be pretty funny for them to have worshiped.

  • @TheThotPran "That's it!" "Fine, I'll go get a bucket."

  • Owned, French suck.

  • yea, leave it to marcus to make everyone laugh :)
