Sadly, I find it a bit contradictory for Indians to suddenly embrace a dark-skinned model like Lakshmi Menon, when Bollywood films are dominated by lighter-skinned Indians who don't even really look Indian (to non-Indians). It's not hard for non-Indians to figure out even Indians themselves prefer lighter-skinned people. It's sad, and I'm shocked to learn that so many Indians are using skin whitening products....

I lived in India for a few months and I was apalled at how obsessed Indians where with skin colour. They all used face-whitener and being lighter meant being more successful in life.

She is very level-headed & has great personality.She is very beautiful & looks very healthy.There are so many teenage models,it's so refreshing to see 27 years old mature woman like her.I do accept that her walk is not so good,but she can work on that.Besides that she is great model.I just hope she will get more work.

Actually most Indians are VERY smart. It is infact rare, if not impossible to find a dumb Indian. Aishwarya Rai, Lara Dutta, Freida Pinto, Padma Lakshmi, Saira Mohan, and Ujjwala Raut are living proof that Indian girls can be beautiful and intelligent. Clearly you are jealous.
