This is a very calming video for me. I wasn't in the greatest frame of mind a few months back and this song came on one day when I woke up from a nap and it was the first time I had felt...calm...or good in a while. This whole soundtrack is great.

Perhaps the best track from one of my favourite movies of all time.

IMHO, Kingdom of Heaven is one of those movies where the director's cut is the only version worth watching. They have cut some really important parts off the theater version.

Its what that one knight said, when Balian of Ibelin told him that, if the knight would survive the siege of Jerusalem, he could have Ibelin. Consequently the knight said that Ibelin was merely a poor and rustic/dusty place. :) And yes, the Arabs were and still are to some extent, one of the richest people the world has known in economic and cultural point of view.

In my view the middle east is not the Kingdom of heaven. Wars have raged their since our ancestors time and we find historyrepeating itself. In heaven there is no war, and all races live together. Muslim and Christian, Hindu and Jew, etc can all live together if we try. What if our armies just said no and stopped fighting. no one can change our persons will whether boss, king, queen general etc except God.

If you think this is Arabic music your a dolt. Its a mirage of sounds created in a 21st century Hollywood music studio. It includes instruments originating from all over the western world including your typical orchestra setup of stringed instruments, violins, cellos, the works.
