@geobruf123 Making a PC version would mean a complete rewrite, so the answer is no. But there are lots of tracker-style programs for MS-DOS, Windows and Linux.
I remember this tracker as an endless source of fun and creative music. And also of endless flaws and hanging mousepointer (especially when you did NOT save for a long time) ;)
@thearchiveable Those actually came after this tracker. Before this, software to make music directly on C64s was basically a hex editor (where all data was represented in hex, even the note numbers)
Rockmonitor 3 is also from 1987. I find it hard to believe that trackers don't originate from the c64. Hex or no hex coding. It remains a tracker for me.
I was thinking the soundtracker was the first ever... but not named ultimate? I did buy it on floppy disk when it was out as shareware and did got modules with it... echoe? remember that module... this one you playing is also great one.
@RebornGalaxy There was an unbelievable amount of trackers based on this one (directly or not). The one you remember may be one of those. Anyway if you still have it, you may try to make it into an ADF file so we can have a look at it. Long live Amiga.
oh i see... well if I find it, I will definitly post i here. I have to find all the floppy disk from the past, they are somewhere but i wounder if they still works... I did buy a poster from the party 95 and it' It says Amiga keep the momentum going!
@RebornGalaxy The ultimate soundtracker is the full name of soundtracker. To quote the wikipedia page
Ultimate Soundtracker, or Soundtracker for short, is a music tracker program for the Commodore Amiga. ..snip..
Soundtracker started as a tool for game sound development for the Amiga.[3] It was loosely based on the techniques developed by Rob Hubbard for the Commodore 64.[4] The program allowed for four-channel hardware mixing on all Amiga computers,
does anyone know if someone's hacked a version for PC?
