  • I'm doing up a Westerly Nomad 22 ft so I can do this. Do you think I can? Any attractive, intelligent, good cooking, humorous woman wanting to come along? I sail in the north sea - even in the winter. Love it.

  • @viceroytennis I am selling this boat so you could do it on the same boat.

  • Did it once, on a 36 ft monohull.

It is a very long way.

    Be careful.

  • Looks like such an adventure! I can't wait to someday do the same thing! :)

  • Boring?! Sign me up for a slice of that! (Some day, some day).

  • Before you sail away into the distance, make sure you know what you are in for. A well crewed boat with two or three watches is a lot less stressful than how we did it. The nights were often the worse as you could not see the weather coming. In the day we had a line squall which hit us with 40 knots and nearly took out the genoa. We had seen it coming but did not think it would be so bad! If you are determined enough you will do it. I designed and built the boat, and one day it will be finished!

  • I love sailing, but without music and slow movie not very entertaining

  • The whole thing is just that. Crossing the Atlantic on a yacht with two crew is very 'boring'. Lots of sea interupted by bad weather. However not many people do it and the experience can be life changing, if you survive.
