I've watched at least a dozen videos on deadheading roses this morning, and this one has the best camerawork. You can actually see where the cut is supposed to be, and how to properly angle it. Thank you!

Where the cut was made, a stub is left. Am I right to think that the new flowers grow from the buds around it, and this stub just remains, or dies back?
