The Labrador will always be the best. Even though Pitbull's are extremely vicious and bred to fight, the Labrador will always win. Especially if it's protecting a young child or it's owner, it gives it that little bit extra to keep going. Labrador FTW! :')

After reading these comments I would like to comment... These dogs were just playing a game. I play tug of war all the time with my Lab and he loves it. As long as the dogs are socialized and get along there is no risk of a real fight. I have watched lots of dogs play tug of war with each other- they LOVE it. But some people want everything wrapped in cotton wool or they might get anxiety.

The lab won so the pit bull licked his face as a submissive thing to say, you're the winner, we don't have to fight. The roaring is just another way or saying I'm the baddest!

He never pulled first, submissive gesture. Labradors lack the drive and endurance of the pit bull generally, that is what the pauses were for. When he got tired he simply dropped the rope BUT the pit bull did not take it, he put it immediately down and licked the lab under the chin, again submissive.

That is a good way to let them burn some energy. I love the color of that pitbull. I am a lab person always owned black labs but I love all dogs. Pits have way more jaw power but labs have more lead in their ass so that was a good match. They had fun burned some energy its a win win.
labs are not fighting, herding, or guard dogs they are hunters... if you are not a prey animal, ie another dog they prefer to play not fight but they will take up for themselves, my lab send a rottweiler running into her house with tail between her legs, but she had to show aggression a few times before my lab said ok, we will play the game your way if you want...
@realbluntz Labs are not a push over I have seen mine run larger wild dogs and coyotes off my land many times. They are a really chill dog but they can be very tough too.

Throw a 70 pound APBT against a 110 pound BullMastiff/Rottweiler/etc, and obviously the pitbull is likely to lose. But pound for pound the APBT is the strongest dog in the world.
Don't be so sure of it. My 85lb black lab pinned an equally as large errant Johnson pit bull on its back, at the dog park. Labs are smart operators and problem solvers.

@sojessie You must be on crack, too. Those dogs are just playing. At the end of the tug-of-war, the pit licks the labrador's face. That is a submissive gesture and to say to the lab there are no hard feelings. it's just a game. There is no aggression from either dog to the other one. There was a lot of noise, but no aggression.

@italo36 Labs do have a great chance to fight back against any pitbull, if you train any dog to fight back they will, my black labrador already had a fight with a loose pitbull and my labrador fought back really well.

@astro4465boy thats true. The only thing the pitbull has is they have a stronger jaw. And have more muscle pound to pound.
Throw a 70 pound APBT against a 110 pound BullMastiff/Rottweiler/etc, and obviously the pitbull is likely to lose. But pound for pound the APBT is the strongest dog in the world.

Don't be so sure of it. My 85lb black lab pinned an equally as large errant Johnson pit bull on its back, at the dog park. Labs are smart operators and problem solvers.

I have a pitbull and my old roommate had a lab and this is exactly what they used to do for hours and hours. neither one would ever give up. seriously though, they were best of friends.

@lobster1r idk about the size cuz rottweilers are most of the time just fatter labs are the same height. My lab is 7 months old muscular and 22-23 inches tall 70 pounds.

@sojessie You must be on crack, too. Those dogs are just playing. At the end of the tug-of-war, the pit licks the labrador's face. That is a submissive gesture and to say to the lab there are no hard feelings. it's just a game. There is no aggression from either dog to the other one. There was a lot of noise, but no aggression.

@Tatooinedragracer yeah ur right... and look at those tails waving... they just playing... one of my dogs also plays with a lot of noize (its a swiss white shepherd dog, both are actualy, got 2)... people who think this is agression dun know annything about dogs.... the one thing that proofs the most that its not agression is the end where the pitbull goes down with his head and licks the lab around the mouth... there the pitbull shows to the lab you are still my leader...

Lab is probably 20 lbs heavier thats why the pit is struggling to pull. Pit's jaws are probably stronger though.
