  • John Anderson reminds me of another John we all know and love!! He sings the sad,sad truth of greed, the mutilation of God's Green Earth, and the hatred for our fellow man. A true Gem. PS, Think Kinzua Dam.

  • Awesome

  • Need a studio recording. I'd buy it in a second.

  • It would have been spectacular to be there at the time this was recorded. Such a treat!

  • I've always loved this song. The original is great, but I reckon this version comes a pretty close second. Great harmonies. It's so good, I'm surprised they haven't recorded it on an album. Thanks for posting this masterpiece.

  • that's an epic fiddler.

  • gr8 song.

  • 9 people have no idea where Micanopy is

  • Dangit, that there is real good music, awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song makes me cry and I am a 49 yr old cowboy

  • this song makes me cry abd I am a 49 yr old cowboy

  • how many times have you seen an artist perform his song with others and it sounds like crap. not so here. big kenney and john rich did this magnificent song justice. i love john andersons version as well but this was a really great combination. well done big and rich. especially for not destroying it.

  • To me it looks like John is actually enjoying the way the sing it.

  • I wish they had done a studio recording of this.

  • this song is for all the vicims of injustice all over the world

  • Great song with Big and Rich joining in. Sounds great

  • Abyone know where I can download this version of this song? I looked on itunes, but its not there. :(

  • @89benx This was taken from the Cross Country series on CMT. They have not released this in any form other than the series. You might try Amazon.

  • i believe the ghost of Oceola lives in that there fiddle , way to break him out i love this song

  • I love Big and Rich! I love this song! I love the two together!

  • not as good as john by him self but not bad

  • This sounds great! Makes me want to go out in the woods right now.

  • Please, check out my songs!! JW

  • the best of all on this night that was sung was wild west show john anderson sung it as if it were his own, sounded awesome very nice vocals

  • I think it would have been a bit better if John Rich's voice hadn't been stronger than Big Kenney's, who was singing the melody. But, I like it none the less.

  • I like this, but John's voice is one of a kind. I love his voice.

  • i love the original...but with Big and Rich singin...not so much

  • Well, in all honesty you only need to hear the john Anderson origional . It is a masterpiece.

  • One of the greatest country songs ever written!!

  • they did a bunch of songs together and now i cant find them...anyone know where to look?

  • that boy sure can saw a fiddle hard

  • I love this so much but can't find this version recorded anywhere, does anyone know if it's on CD at all

    Thanks

  • His voice is incredible

  • Great Lyrics and I just love the chord progression....never gets old.

  • Where is the rest of this concert? Where is these guys doing Wild West Show? I know its out there i seen it when they played it on Crossroads.

  • this video is a good one being a john anderson song, i only wish that it was the one, wild west show for john anderson made it more worth listening to being a big n rich song. oh big n rich are alright but john anderson sure can sing. wish someone had caught that on tube. wasnt it on this same cmt show?

  • Wow, I love it!!! Bet FL gets a big one this year....

  • MY FAVE JOHN ANDERSON SONG.

  • This is such a fantastic song just sung by John Anderson, but Big and Rich really make it work with him. WTG guys :)

  • blow blow seminal wind... heh hehe....

  • Who are these clowns?? Damn, never heard of them but they surely suck and they would never made it out of a Honky bar back in the 80's-90's. Country music died in the late 90's :-( Listen to John's voice. Like a Ferrari vs a Ford Pinto. LOL!

  • @chessse Real country music died in the mid to late 80's.When Garth Brooks and shit like that started coming out that was the end of country music.WAYLON FOREVER!!!!!!

  • @CarlG78 and your so close minded you can't stand the fact that music is going to change you want it to stay old we GROW UP AND DEAL WITH THE FACT ITS GOING TO CHANGE AND KEEP CHANGING OK WAYLON IS GOOD BUT THIS IS ALSO REALLY GOOD TOO!!!

  • @protectoroffaith I didnt say this wasnt good.I thought it was great,I think bolth Big and Rich and John Anderson are really good.Your running your mouth about something that wasnt said assbreath.I dont like the music that is being put out now your right, but if something good comes out I will listen to it and enjoy it weather it sounds old or new.I am not close minded I listen to everything from Ozzy to George Jones but real country died in the mis 80s when they started pushing popcountry!!!!!!

  • @CarlG78 ass breath OMG what are you 10 fuck my 2 year old cousin comes up better insults then you if you have something to say then say it but don't diss big and rich

  • @protectoroffaith Again you are talking about somthing I never said,I never "dissed"Big and Rich.I actually said I liked them and that this video was great. You obviously dont understand what you are reading and your incoherent ramblings are making you look like an idiot!!!

  • @CarlG78 AMEN to that. i listen to everything from classical to metal but when it comes to country anything mid 90's and back is what i want to hear. i swear if i hear one more classic rock song remade by a country artist or one more POP start try to sing country i am going to puke. HIGHWAYMEN FOR LIFE

  • very good song. i like john anderson a lot. same with big and rich. they actually didn't do a bad job on the song with john. and lmess91 i really agree with you on that.

  • i wish there were a better quality version of this, if anyone knows please message me, thxs!

  • God I love this song!!! I wish it was more popular though!!!

  • God I love this song!!! I wish it was more popular though!!!

  • you just dont hear good music like this much anymore. seems like every time you turn the radio on you hear all these ppl you have no idea who the hell they are. im glad these guys are keeping this music alive.

  • is that down by the everglades?

  • John Andersons grandma or greatgrandma lives on the seminole rez in okkechobee fl. He's some precent seminole indian.

  • I must say I'm big fan john anderson and I'm proud of Big&Rich bring ol John back I love this song and this song has message. I'm part native american i'm not seminole but it's wonderful song native pride for all tribes love john anderson

  • Boys step back, sing back-up like ya need to be doin, ya'll caint hold a candle to John's voice, smiles, sing it cuz!

  • Very very good!

  • this is good. they did this song justice

  • I heard the ghost of osceola cry.

  • Always loved this song and this version really rocks...WOW!

  • Not much I can say, but: "Wow". Does it need explanation?

  • I think this is a GREAT rendition. B&R need to do more music like this because the harmonies are just chilling. They did "Seven Spanish Angels" a few years back for the Outlaw concert that was great as well. Go to a Big 7 Rich concert sometime and if you leave disappointed I'd be shocked cuz they put on one helluva show and John's part with his new solo album is well worth the price of admission.

  • John Anderson is gonna be at the Everglades Seafood Festivel on saturday February 6th gotta go see him...it also helps that its free

  • eh i like the original better but at least big and rich didnt try to infuse rap in it. john rich is a prick on those singing shows like hes the man and has the nerve to tell people they dont fit country music and look what they do.

  • I miss John Anderson.. He was great.

  • lol. He's still alive.

  • Poor man's Neil Young.

  • i love how big and rich can sing songs to their own tune, ya like music is still the same and all, but they sound just as good as john in here

  • this might be my most favorite song ever, its a tossup between this and "the ride" by david allan coe.

  • this song tears my heart apart.

the ride sends chills down my spine so deep my muscles tense up.

  • lol i know EXACTLY what you mean

  • I never will understand the mentality of people who believe that music is static. It is a part of emotional content and grows and evolves. John Anderson killed with this song when it came out. For those who missed the point, this is a JAM SESSION that was recorded.

  • Now is it bout the everglades or the tribe? Its a good song all the same

  • this is such a beautiful song. thanks for posting.

  • good grief people, enough

  • Starr pisses people off again. People, John Anderson does not need people to give him a tribute that only wants to promote theirselves. Big & Rich?> Get real. Big ain' t nothing. John Rich thinks he' s the man. Where has the man been lately? My point exactly. John Anderson will continue to be a ledgend. Unpure voice. Unpure timing. PURE HEART> talent is talent. but you can' t touch the HEART. John Anderson has it.

  • i thought it was a pretty good video.

  • good grief, listen to the music, stop bickering like children.

  • People that make these kind of assertions usually speak from a little bit of experience. So I guess that you have been a national recording artist, written close to 30 number one songs, changed an entire musical genre, and worked on stage with John Anderson. Am I mistaken?

  • Mistaken to a degree. Yes I was a National Recording Artist.. Never wrote a number 1 song. Humbled to say I did record 2 that went top ten ands 4 that went top 20. I had no effect on the change in music . Although I performed on the Opry 17 times, I never got to share a stage with John Anderson. So Gary, I do have some insight to the business. Performed for over 26 years and just plain had enough. So thanks for your assertions. I know the remarks were intended as a put down. you were wrong.

  • I probably know you. What is your stage name?

  • Beleive it or not I just came back to this song and re read our comments. But after meeting Kenny and learning more about him. I am going to revise my earlier comment. Kenny has a pure heart and lives to help other people. No matter color, race or creed. He' s a good man. So if he takes part in a tribute to John Anderson, he' s doing it because he respects John Anderson. Forgive my earlier comment.

  • I love it too - where could I find any episode of cross country ?

  • does any one have this whole episode of cross country? and if so can you post it or tell me where i could find it, i love this set and cant find it anywhere. ty

  • I mis you jon, where are yo doing these days

  • I love it !

  • Whether you like this or not it is music history.

  • Personally I think Big & Rich actually do an amazing job playing with the harmonies. It's different but sounds good.

  • lol.......John Anderson took both of them to school

  • yeh he sure did and boy they did learn . . . thanx for posting, . . . it lifts my spirits to the sky , yeh USA . . . .

  • heck yea

  • Anyone who listens to the words of this song, or grew up in the tragedy that is now Florida, knows this song is less about paying homage to the Seminole people and more about how Southern traitors and Northern industrialists destroyed our state.

We are now at the mercy of Osceola's spirit and the Seminole soul to restore our glorious land to its previous glory.

  • think the natives are conected to the land or vice versa...thank you for the information

  • i have to disagree....but also agree at the same time. it talks about the land as being pristine and "wild" which includes the seminoles. they fought against the Army in order to stay free and keep their land. now where i agree with you....the same can be said about white people who lived there before the commercial sprawl...they felt the land was their and wild.....great and amazing song. check out johns song "look away" right there it talks about what your talkin bout akraljic. peace

  • At least we here in Florida won a big part of the battle, heard something over half the land is now preserved.

  • That song f..in Jams.. great song!!

  • I love the "Big & Rich" sound, John Anderson's voice - - so quirky and intriguing - - and their bandmates are wizards on their instruments . . . nirvana . . .

  • Whooooaaaaaa The voice of Big Kenny gives me goose bumps ALL over my body. I´m now addicted to this version.

  • Big and Rich really gives more magic to a allready magical song. I think they give this song a new life, a better life. Go guys! My only problem is.... I want to buy it on cd.

  • I love this version, the added harmony just gives you chills. I think they paid a respectful tribute with how they sang this song.

  • John Anderson shows a lot of class by acquiescing while they pay tribute to him. He stands back like a master while they show how good they are. But it is his song. And you can tell they love both the son and him. Good job, all around.

  • lol I so agree with you. Notice the expression of Joh Anderson in this video. He is so trying but his look just says shut the hell up. Yes I like Big and Rich. But, where the hell they been lately. Get my meaning? Flames flare up and they dye out just as quickly.

  • They just did a show in Atlantic City this past Sat...

  • I like Big and Rich but I agree that John Anderson has the emotion that this song needs.John Rich is a great writer and Big Kenny is just hangin on in my opinion.Their live shows are off the chain and tho and defintely worth seeing.

  • Oh I totally agree with you on that note. I am glad that they did that out of respect for a great song and country artist.

  • I'm an originals kind of guy... John Anderson did a great job with this song as far as emotion goes while he's singing... Big and Rich love them but this is a soloist kind of song not one made for a duo act...

  • Big and Rich are simply showing respect to a great song and its writer. I don't expect them to exceed JA. I give them credit for acknowledging for a real country artist.

  • I dident know this song bevore but i get a realiy shiver when i hear it. it touches my soul of music... :-Dlol

  • Big and Rich are butchering this song!! There is no emotion in their voices!! Would rather hear the original version.

  • Then listen to the original. This version is great. Big and Rich are paying homage not only to John Anderson, but also to the Seminole people. Anderson let them sing it with him and so should everyone else.

  • harmony vocals dont match to me.

  • i love this song ever since i use to live in florida

  • butucher it? big and rich are amazing singing it with him! Big and Rich are amazing period!! I love them!!!!!

  • John Anderson is one of the great country singer-stylists of all-time.

What's the point of having him stand there while two poseurs like Rig and Bitch butcher the song?

  • marachamba da maracachumba do maracuchéiua

  • i tink he sings fine

  • While John Anderson may not be able to sing GREAT, he sure as hell writes some good songs

  • listen to straight tequila night

  • Goose bumps...nice job!!!

  • I dont think this was the song for big and rich to sing but I love this song

  • ok muito bom.

  • I love this song, and the combination of Big and Rich make it awesome! Big and Rich are totally amazing. They have amazing voices! :)

  • very great combination and great song

  • Beautiful song! Music is fantastic!

  • i love this so so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Original was the best!

  • I was there that day... the fiddle at the beginnins sounded soooo awesome and eery it gave me chills

  • Awesome song, Big and Rich makes it sound even better!!!

  • I think you mean they destroy it,

  • Great song, but Kenny and John (Rich) are just a shade off key. Still, an awesome version of a timeless anthem.

  • Okay, Big & Rich=Awesome, John Anderson=Awesome, "Seminole Wind"=Awesome, so this vid=3xAwesome!!

  • awesome song btw

  • its really sad how people can listen to such heart filled songs like this and it not affect them at all.

  • good song why argue its stupid just comment the video and shut your piehole i mean damn

  • The Andermeister rules ! Thanks Sherry for share!

  • this has been a favorite song of mine for such a long time, and i have to say that i love this version of it too!

  • AMAZING!!

  • im glad that they made a song about my people

  • I agree, but I love Big and Rich, and I love this song, and put the two together with John Anderson...just brilliant

  • No-one sing this song better than Mr. John Anderson.

  • Does anyone have any other videos of these 3? same concert

  • I wish I did

  • what a great duo and one hell of a legend!

  • I hear that!

  • troy. you aint no cowboy. so I'll call you troy. LET ANDERSON SING. GOD DAMN. BOO

  • He is singing, if you cant dicern the voices and pick out that legendary voice, then you need to rethink the kinda music your listening to.

  • Comment removed

  • uhh, you aren't reading this comments post correctly. Pot, Kettle, YOU!

  • cowboy troy isnt even in this you fucking idiot

  • SAVE THE GLADES!

  • I am not particularly a country music fan . I like what I like really however I heard this song by james taylor and my ears pricked up so to speak.John Andersons' original is a beautiful thought provoking song and this version with the harmonics enhances it , making it different admittedly .I think it is is it wonderful.

  • I'm glad you like it, too many people are down on big & rich singing with John, and it's bullshit. This is a great rendition.

  • SEMINOLES ROCK...

  • John Anderson, the original, is the best

  • this rules

  • haha thats awesome man. wish i lived where you live

  • great song and video my mama said its bad luck to say bad things about people. i live is a s.c.swamp and i love gators. they take care of bodies for us. and they are fun to catch with a fish pole.

  • Comment removed

  • hahahaha are you serious man?

  • throw a spinner a rattletrap or a marshmellow or maybe (not recomended) even a chicken leg. in front of about a 5 ft surfaced gator and you are in for the fight of your life. you need high test fishing line and a long steel leader and you will have a blast. i dont use chicken legs in a boat though because the game wardens aint stupid. they know what you are doing..but if you latch one on so called mistake, dont bring them in the boat either. cut the line. have fun budrow

  • such an amazing song and the standards were high and i think big and rich did great!!!

  • yea big and rich sound terrible

  • are you nuts?
